Late to review but we've had a great experience with Reyes Heating & Air -- first to install our zoned HVAC, and then for subsequent service visits. We found their prices to be reasonable. More importantly, Udiel (the owner) and his team are all responsive, friendly and helpful. When our heating system broke down over the holidays, they still were able to have a guy come out on Dec 26 (despite being closed) to identify the issue and order us a replacement part. He told us what needed to be done to prevent it from happening again -- essentially the crazy winds knocked the cover off a unit off roof loose and water got in. They managed to secure us a part quickly and replaced in before we had friends come over for New Years Eve. So grateful for their help during the holidays. Cannot recommend Reyes enough! read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Reyes Heating and Air for HVAC work. Our furnace stopped working 3 weeks ago on a Thursday afternoon. Jimmy Reyes arrived at 8am Friday morning to take a look and told us they could fix the furnace, but since it was old there was a possibility something else would fail in the future. We had installed the furnace and A/C condenser together in 2002 and decided the best course of action would be to replace both. Jimmy told us that the A/C unit would require a permit and that might slow down installation, and provided a competitive estimate. Fortunately, we were leaving for a week's vacation the following day but Reyes dropped off some space heaters to keep us warm in the meantime. A week later, Reyes arrived promptly at 8am to install the new furnace and A/C (having secured the permit). The team introduced themselves (so polite!) and placed tarps, etc. to protect our flooring. They worked diligently and completed the entire job in 2 days! Not only that, but they removed the registers and sealed all the ducts to maximize the heating and cooling. We could not be happier. I posted asking for help on my local Facebook page and got dozens of responses. I ended up reaching out to Udiel from Reyes Heating and Air, who had made a surprising and generous offer on my original post -- to replace my water heater at no cost. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first but after speaking with him on the phone and learning more about his experience and heart behind the offer, I decided to have him come take a look, hoping maybe it was something simple. Udiel and his young assistant (who had the best smile -- I'm sorry I don't remember his name!) arrived promptly and got right to work. After assessing everything, he explained that a leak in the heater was keeping the pilot light from staying lit, even after relighting. Since the unit was installed in 2010, replacement made the most sense. I accepted his offer -- gratefully. The installation took a few hours, and there were a few hiccups removing the old unit, but they handled everything calmly and professionally. I now have a brand-new water heater with a warranty -- and hot showers again! Udiel has nearly 30 years of plumbing experience, but what stood out to me even more than his skill is his character. He showed compassion for my situation as a single mom laid off in October. He believes in karma and giving back -- locally and to Guatemala, where he's originally from -- and more than most people, he lives that belief through action. He helped me when I had no money and no hot water and that's something I won't ever forget. Kindness matters. Acts like his restore my faith in humanity and remind me that we really need each other. Doing good feels good -- on both sides of the exchange -- and I fully intend to pay this forward. I hope we all continue to look for small (or big) ways to do the same. Professional team, and estimate was right on par with others at $28k. I went with them because they could get the job done sooner. We approved the bid on 5/29, work began 6/24. Once scheduled, they did the job quickly and were tidy and polite the entire 4 days. Unfortunately, the last day there was some damage that took nearly 3 months to be fixed. Reyes took care of this issue at their expense and helped coordinate repairs with another company which was appreciated. I think their office coordinating could be better since a random environmental testing person showed up at my house for a couple hours work, which we were not informed about. Plus the city permit had not been signed off on as of 9/14. If you're looking for a super speedy job maybe to sell your house I'd keep this business in mind. About 9 months later the owner came out because the A/C wasn't working properly and turns out it was over refrigerated or "overcharged" and he fixed it. Overall I think I'm happy with our choice and hope it continues to operate properly, but some unforeseen challenges maybe with a newer business like this. read more

Rarely, have I come across such a great team, starting with their owner, Udiel. I interviewed no less than five companies and most of them were lacking. Sometimes they even failed with the first question! I wasn't trying to find the cheapest provider. I just wanted this to be done correctly. And their pricing was competitive. They answered all my questions and then some. They even flagged me on an additional subsidy which saved me an additional $1,000! The team was great...and the installation was perfect. I hired Reyes Heating and Air to install a Mitsubishi heat pump mini-split system. We installed 5 mini-splits in total (3 in-ceiling and 2 wall units). Udiel was a pleasure to do business with. He was responsive with answering questions and was excellent at explaining what I was getting. He was the first company to recommend in-ceiling units, which was a game-changer. From start to finish, Reyes was easy to work with and, more importantly, did an excellent job. It was a big project, so we left home for 5 days, and they were able to accommodate this timeframe. So far, everything is working well, but if I need help, I have confidence that Reyes will continue to support me. The only thing I can recommend for improvement would be better treatment and communication around needing to rip out some plants to place the cement slab for the heat pump. I fully understand this had to happen and is probably low on their radar, but we could have relocated them had we known the extent. Also, there were some areas that I feel were left open for rodent activity. This attention to detail was not attended to. I have had rodent issues in the past, so I am careful to look for this. We requested Reyes Heating to evaluate our two heating/AC systems several months ago. Both were installed about 25 years ago. While the systems were operating satisfactorily we decided that we wanted to update them to current and improved models. Both systems were single stage furnaces and compressors (5 ton and 2 ton systems). We upgraded both to two stage dual fuel heat pump systems and have already noticed a much better level of air temperature consistency due to the two stage system. Reyes did a great job of installing the systems. The installation took 5 days with 3 - 4 techs each day. My furnace would not work during a cold December day. Although they were extremely busy, they assured me that they would get to me the same day as my call. No upfront fees, no credit card info first ( as was required by Kelly Heating when I first called). Sure enough, by 3 pm I had a tech respond and lucky for me all that was needed was a new thermostat, which they had on their service truck. Yes, we collected different bids from different companies. Why is Home Depot referral so stinking expensive?!? Anyway, after a number of bids and proposals, my husband and I reaffirmed our initial vote of confidence in Reyes for the air conditioning. The price was fair, they did all the permits, the crew are respectful (no shouting or throwing stuff around making all kinds of obnoxious unnecessary noise) they showed up on time ready to work, and got everything finished before the time they estimated. A week later one of Reyes staff was outside with the city inspecting the work for the permit. My husband and I were able to work without interruptions for the install and permitting inspection. So convenient! We love Reyes because they are a community gem, hard working, honest business who offer a great service at a reasonable price. I came here to update what I thought was a prior review but found I never left one on Yelp. Reyes Heating and Air has installed a heat pump mini split AC in our bedroom, and replaced our old school gas furnace with a terrific whole house heat pump heating and cooling system. Our PGE bill went way down, their work was excellent, and the office very communicative. Today, they really came to our rescue! We had installed a heat pump mini split in a mid term rental income property prior to discovering Reyes HVAC. The heat function stopped working on the day a new guest arrived, when it was about 46 degrees out. I called Reyes and Udiel was able to send a technician the next day--not an easy feat during the coldest time of year. Stephanie in the office was terrific with follow up and Udiel called me to explain what had been going on with the unit before wonderful technician, Carlos, had even finished packing his tools. 10/10! read more

I decided to upgrade HVAC in July 2022. Did my due diligence to gain an understanding of AC versus Heat Pumps. More important was looking for the best contractor for the installation. It is always a calculated risk when selecting an installation company. It is a big commitment financially and there is really not much to go on. I went with Reyes based on online reviews and communications style. It was not a low bid selection. In terms of technical competence and quality of work, I am very satisfied. Reyes can be trusted to deliver a excellent result. I can expect the same level of attention going forward for future services. Glad I had the Heat Pump installed especially given the recent heat wave. Reyes can improve coordination between customer, field team and office staff. Absolutely incredible service. I realized my furnace wasn't working the day before Thanksgiving. Friday morning I looked up companies and found Reyes Heating. I called at 7:45am. He texted me back immediately and was at my house by 9am. My furnace is over 20 years old. The main board had died. He said I could replace the board for $1800 replace the unit for $6500 or max efficiency $8500. Since it was so old I decided to go with $6500. For my 2000+sf house. Udiel ordered the unit and his guys were back the next morning installing it. They were done in a few hours and the area looked better than it did when they arrived.
