Yes, this is a fantastic company and my experience with them was particularly exceptional. Chris, an owner, is who you will likely meet first, scoping the job and providing a fair quote and options. My mother is low-income so Lila spent an entire year qualifying her for a special program, didn't forget us, and alerted us when she was finally accepted. Ivan, another owner, ran the installation team with two very professional gents, Jairo and Rafael. Every time they came in and out of the house they put on shoe covers and were all very patient with questions. They were flexible with moving trucks and were legitimately friendly and kind every moment. Very professional. The base Mitsubishi unit they recommended is stunning. We are now sitting in a warm home that hasn't felt true heat in years and are forever grateful. I have worked with numerous HVAC companies over the years and this one has been my favorite. Look no further! This company is fantastic! Not only did they do an excellent job, their final price was $9,000 less or 50% below the lowest bid that I got. They were actually $20,000 less than the first quote that I got. Chris was very quick to inspect and work up an estimate. Value is better than any other vendor we spoke to - they installed top of the line Mitsubishi heat pumps and did an excellent job with ductwork for a lower price. Great customer service as well. The top floor in our house has two bedrooms which get oppressively hot and cold depending upon the time of year. This year we decided to spend the money and fix the problem. We decided to get estimates from three different companies and then pick the one we liked best. Chris from North HVAC came over and gave us our first estimate. He was kind, thorough, and answered all of our questions directly. We asked for three estimates, one for central cooling, and another for a mini split heating and cooling system for either one room upstairs or both rooms. He did this without any hesitation and he returned the three estimates promptly. A second company came to give an estimate. The second company told us the job was much more complicated than North HVAC said it was and that they would need to lay concrete in the backyard and cut down one of our bushes in order to do the job. They quotes us around 4 thousand more than North HVAC. We called Chris back and expressed our concerns because of the estimate the second company gave us. Instead of shaking us off, Chris and his business partner Randy came out to our house again to give it another look. Both Chris and Randy told us that they would not need to lay cement to do the project and instead could install the minisplit units on the side of the house. They said their original estimate stood and that they disagreed with the second company. After mulling it over, we decided to go with North HVAC. They came over on a Thursday morning and nearly finished the job in one day. The electrician came the following day and finished the job. The mini split system cools quickly and runs super cold. It cools a small room in about 5 minutes or less, is about as quiet as a ceiling fan, and is easy to use. The outside unit also makes no noise, our neighbors even commented that they could not hear a peep. I highly recommend this company and would definitely do business with them again! My wife and I were interested in getting central air installed in our new home. After reading some reviews and after getting a couple of quotes we decided to go with North HVAC Service. And I can say that we were not disappointed in their service and in the finished product. First off, Randy and his team came over as scheduled to do an initial site visit in order to figure out if/how an AC unit could be installed. Unlike another AC installer that we got a quote from, these guys inspected all the spaces (crawl spaces, duct work, and electrical) just to make sure it was even possible to install one. In other words, they were thorough. Additionally, our HOA required some documentation in order to approve the AC and these guys provided everything we needed and in a timely manner. Finally, after we got approved by the HOA to install the AC (after 1 month of waiting), I was able to schedule an installation date right away and these guys came on time and delivered impeccable service (at a cost that was modestly less than other guys.) I would ABSOLUTELY recommend these guys to anyone looking for any kind of HVAC work or installation. I plan on using them for my yearly maintenance service calls. read more

Our insurance provider dispatched a company from Santa Rosa who gave a false and lazy 30 second diagnostic of the issue which then relieved our insurance from any coverage responsibility. Our home in Marin is over 115 years old, and gets very hot in the summer. After some research we were curious about adding A/C. This review is from an event some time ago. We installed a new household A/C, we needed start-up servicing for it, I was eager, and Bill was willing to come out on short notice. Unfortunately... he was in too much of a hurry. First problem: he bent/kinked one of the A/C pipes and then had to repair it with a melange of copper connectors. Second problem: months later, all of the coolant (formerly known as "freon") finished leaking out and the A/C died. Because he hadn't tightened/tested his connections well enough, while he was in a hurry. Thus the A/C required servicing all over again. I got someone else for the second try. I would have preferred that he had not offered to come, rather than come without enough time to do a good job. read more

Competitors charge a diagnostic fee and Bill was able to solve the problem for even less than other companies wanted just for the diagnostic. One company even quoted me $900 to solve the problem. We could not be more pleased with the service that Chris and his crew provided in installing our new heat pump system! ! From the first meeting when he and Randy came to do the estimate - the day after I called - I knew that they would be our choice because they had a real "can-do" attitude, problem-solving the modifications that would needed to install the system. We had so many questions about how the new system would function - it's a very different animal from the gas furnace we were used to.
