I cannot recommend this company. We contacted RGD to get an estimate for some work on our newly purchased home. Dawn and Todd came out, took lots of notes and measurements, spent about an hour and a half reviewing the job with us. My husband and I really got good vibes from them, they seemed respectable and I really was impressed with it being a woman owned business. Dawn indicated she had a conference to attend the next week which would delay the bid by a week so we could expect to hear from her in about three weeks. She said she will have her staff start pulling things together such as cabinet choices, countertop choices, etc while she was gone. We had been ghosted by another company and told them about that experience and we were reassured that wouldn't happen with them. Fast forward three weeks. No contact. I called them to get an update. No answer, left a voice mail. Two days later, same thing. I also emailed them thru their website. The next week (4 weeks from our appointment with them) I finally got Todd on the phone. He stated he would check with Dawn and call back. The next day (Wednesday) he called and said it was almost complete and Dawn will be contacting us that afternoon or no later than Thursday afternoon. Well, it has now been a month and no contact. I called two times and left messages. Finally gave up and went a different direction. I think they are so busy with bigger jobs (our budget was about 100k) and they must be overextended. A phone call to let me know they were unable to provide the service would have been good though. We lost a month waiting on an estimate that was never to come. If this is how they treat a potential new client, I can only imagine how they treat a client once they have started. Absolute Horror Situation!!! And my house is still horrible. I literally had to sleep on the floor and was crying bc I had no idea what to do and was nieve and gave them 50% down payment like they requested which is not common and very stupid. Got over charged, came home to guys smoking in my house, the workers stole expensive Maui Jim sunglasses, they said it would take 3 weeks to lay down LVP and do cabinets (told me to pack up my entire house into a POD ) 3 months later still not done. Then installed Clarence Floors from Home Depot didn't measure correctly ran out of materials so now I have two diff color floors, didn't level out floors or didn't put any underlayment they are already separated/ruined, new cabinets are a complete disaster, not level... holes, baseboards have chips, massive dry wall holes.... House is a wreck for $65k. After calling and trying to get someone to help they came over bullied me and half ass fixed some things. I've tried to get in touch after I noticed a bunch of other things falling apart but no response. DO NOTTTT USE THEM!!!!! I have tons more recent pictures of everything if you need proof. Absolute disaster. I was new to Nevada and got completely taken advantage of. I have now met people in the industry I can refer anyone too if needed. Basically they are robbing Peter to pay Paul is what my contractor friends said. Repeat Do not use them and be very careful on who you use out here. read more

To handle a large home repair project, I wanted to support a woman-owned business. I found Dawn Barnes on the National Association of Women in Construction website. From the second I called Dawn, I haven't been able to peel my jaw off the floor. She promptly answered the phone and was very friendly and professional. Within days, her craftsmen Zion and Jason arrived on-time and on-point at my home. As a woman, especially one with an opinion + a little construction knowledge, it's a real crapshoot whether construction guys will be inclusive or dismissive of your participation. Jason and Zion welcomed me into the conversation with open arms. They respectfully considered my input and questions and formulated a great game plan for the construction/repairs. They also struck a nice balance of joking around while staying on-point and getting the meeting done in a timely manner. As they left, Jason said I would receive an estimate by a certain date, and two days early I had an estimate pop up in my inbox. To my delight, he and the staff structured the estimate breakouts and the verbiage EXACTLY as I requested, so it was easy to do an apples-to-apples comparison to other quotes. My girl Ari in their office instantly turned around the two or three small adjustments I requested. Their prices were downright reasonable, with ZERO upsell. As I struggled to get my personal requirement of three estimates (because almost every other company dropped the ball somewhere in the process) their follow-up touch was light as a feather, simply checking in to see where we stand. It's such a relief to have found RGD to get these repairs rolling! I'm glad Dawn, Jason, Ari, and Zion are showing Vegas how it's done!! read more

So to update on this company I had some exterior repairs and HOA required work to be completed in a short time. RGD Construction came out gave me a great estimate on all work to be done. Giving me options and dealing with my HOA to get color schemes and permission for all work.They came out as scheduled and once again finish Before the time needed to have it completed. unfortunately i cannot just give no stars. There was an altercation with one of these employees and the worker from this company. The RGD comp. threatened that employee by punching him in the face as he was already leaving and kicked my car door in. I came back to be civil and get the insurance information in which they intimidated myself by surrounding me and threatened me if i didn't get off the street which they claimed to be their property. We searched Google and found a site designed to help consumers find contractors for home remodel projects, big or small. The site, BuildZoom is similar to HomeAdvisor, however they specialize in pairing consumers with construction companies in their locale with experienced contractors to complete remodels based on the scope of the job. After a representative from BuildZoom contacted us to get a complete understanding of our project, we were contacted within a week with three local contractors. One of the recommendations was RGD Construction - Las Vegas. We received a call from Dawn, the owner of the company and she immediately scheduled an appointment with us to see the scope of our large scale kitchen remodel. The initial visit and subsequent email communications went extremely well. We were very impressed with how they planned to work with our design ideas and the next step was to receive an estimate/proposal for the project. We did not hear from Dawn for 8 days, so I followed up to find out the status of our bid. She indicated I would receive a return call in approximately one hour. After a few hours passed, I was told there was a project site issue and she would be back with me by the end of the day. We NEVER heard back from her. We made follow up calls, sent emails and texts; both to Dawn and the representative from BuildZoom to try and determine where the communication disconnect occurred. No response from BuildZoom or Dawn at RGD Construction. This was a $50K+ remodel project and we really had hoped to work with RGD Construction. It is possible they do not take projects in our budget range. We will never know. In the long run, it probably was a good thing we didn't work with RGD since the communication during the bid process was most likely an indication of what we may have been dealing with once the project had started.
