I sat on writing this for a few months. I wanted to ensure it wasn't emotion related but fair, unlike the views of their staff so weirdly expressed through inappropriate conversations. So...decent beer, meh to gross vegan food which is all they serve from the food truck, hideous political nonsense conversations amongst staff/owners which were horribly awkward, unnecessary and unsavory. But hey, who cares about customers comfortability! All of that together made for a very strange and unpleasant experience. It really is interesting that when people who have a business and rely solely on customers of all backgrounds and beliefs, feel the need to make bad decisions and mindlessly alienate others. I thought we were beyond alienating people for race, gender, religion, sexuality and politics. Again, I guess not. We were on a road trip and went off our route by 45 minutes so we could try out Off the Wagon food truck. The food was amazing. However, when we walked into the tap house, my service dog was attacked by a corgi. This caused my dog to be alert and he barked when the dog walked by again, trying to alert me and was just doing his job. We then were approached by an unkind lady from the bar. She handed us a card that said if my dog barks again we would have to leave. As we were eating our food, another family with multiple dogs came in and the dogs barked 5 times at the very least. They were never approached. This was an unpleasant experience, we felt singled out when our dog wasn't even the aggressor. We will not be back. read more

We love our breweries & got recommended to come to this one but little did we know the Caucasian guy with a ponytail behind the bar was very "RUDE"!! We brought our fur baby who barked once which is a talk for our mini husky & the guy said, we have a 3 bark rule & he would kick us out...REALLY? He even made us uncomfortable staring at us the entire time we were there. We got up & left as we didn't need to be treated like that. We definitely will not be back & highly recommend others NOT to go there, especially if you have fur baby's that make any type of noise! That guy NEEDS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!! Could you add Wednesday poetry night, Thursday open mic, Friday and Saturday local music/bands, dancing, Sunday afternoon local music and dancing, and evening games on tv I so miss having places to go to with a friend and chill and have coffee for us who don't drink. So people who go to church could go there and feel comfortable too. And make little private coves for 2-4 people to each and visit with. Lower tables for eating and writing. WiFi and plugs. It looks great but always room for improvements. Real meat or fish for tacos and pizza with no soybean foods. People are highly allergic to soybeans. Vegetarian dishes with soybean foods (tofu). It would be nice to be able to include other people in the community who aren't vegetarians. Still a wonderful community gathering place with world-class beer from 20(!) rotating taps. They now host a bi-weekly trivia night, in addition to game nights, live music events, etc. Non-alcoholic options include their house-made birch beer, a selection of NA beers, juice, tea, and a new house-made hop water. Some of their beers are canned in 16 oz crowlers, available only at the brewery. The food from their Off The Wagon food truck is solid--my favorite is the vachos (tortilla chips with cashew queso, black beans, homemade salsa, black olives, jalapeños, and cilantro). We sought this place out for the beer and they delivered. Really nice selection of craft beer! Something for everyone. Inside, half outside and outside seating available. Looks like an event area in the back and a vegan food truck too. A lot going on here. Place also has a lot of beer swag for the collectors. This place is legit. It was our last day visiting Brookings and discovered this place. The main door is in the back where the parking is and you walk through the backend of the building passing a food vendor - Off the Wagon and brewing tanks then to the front where they have a huge selection of beers on tap and bottled selections. They allow kids to come in and sit in the main seating area or outside which is a bonus. We order a couple appetizers from Off the Wagon (chips and salsa and pretzel bites with delicious mustard sauce) and sodas and a couple beers (just a fad hazy IPA and Chetco logger pale). The staff was amazing; very knowledgeable and great service. I brought in a growler to fill it with the Chetco logger pale and she gave me a Chetco sticker to add to it, which I did after I washed and dried it so it would stick. Thanks for that tip! read more

I was staying in Brookings for the night and decided to stop by here for someto-go beers for my hotel room. The staff was very accommodating and after tasting some to make a selection I brought some back. They have cans and will fill growlers so come prepares with a container if you have one. If you're on the Southern Oregon Coast and you like craft beer, you must visit Chetco Brewing! They have a great facility, friendly staff, and a vast selection of fresh beer. We originally got there just before closing time on Friday so we got a growler of their Imperial Coconut Porter to go. That turned out to be a great choice as it was so good that we finished it that night. Then on Saturday, we went to hang out and try their other beers. Saturday afternoon also turned out to be a good time to go, because they had live music! The main room was big and spacious (plenty of room for social distancing). The musician was playing in the back of a truck which was pretty cool. They also had a food truck on site and another food truck just off site. Their beer menu is vast and everything is brewed on site, they have everything from light lagers to coffee porters to double IPAs and imperial stouts, though they don't get into barleywine/pastry stout/bourbon BA/etc territory. Most of the beer we tried was in the "good" range, the body was thin across the board (even on their heavier beers) but all around good flavor. There were a couple standouts like the Block & Tackle Imperial Stout, Just a Short One IIPA, and Raymond's Fathead Red. And of course the Imperial Coconut Porter. read more
