Very pleasantly surprised by this place! The vibes are quite artifically Italiano but its still a very cute atmosphere regardless. Ate here with a decently sized group and able to share multiple dishes family style and found that the appetizers and pasta were on the larger size which was perfect. Everything we tried was delish but my faves were the burrata & prosciutto, white bean dip, caesar salad, bucatini, and ricotta cake. The seasonings and saltiness was ideal, no notes. Excited to return and try some more antipasto and plates like the salmon and steak. Very good service throughout the evening too.

4.5 rounded up We tried Malfi for Mother's Day dinner and so glad we did! Everything we tried was amazing. We got the white bean appetizer, and 3 different pastas (vodka, bolognese, and pesto- can't remember the exact name) Our toddler has never sat in a high chair for an entire meal until this day-- huuuge fan of the pastas as well apparently! We will be back!

I've wanted to come here for a while and finally had the opportunity today. In short: Go now. Don't make the mistake I did in waiting. Let's get the big stuff out of the way. I loved the tagliatelle bolognese. My wife makes an amazing bolognese, and this is scary close. The vegetables are finely minced. The portion size was great. I'm typing this five hours later and I'm still full. I've tried the bolognese at several places. Some I've really liked; some are a glorified meat sauce. This is great. I also tried a bite of the bucatini. I'm usually not big on pesto sauces, but I really liked this one. We all enjoyed the white bean dip appetizer. We liked it a lot, but funny as it sounds, the croutons were the star. They almost had a bacon taste. I told our waiter they need to add the croutons as an appetizer. As far as dessert, we were all stuffed so we shared a piece of the ricotta cake with diplomat cream and lemon curb. It was very good and a nice ending to our meal. They've done a nice job converting the place from Packard's. It's clean, bright and not nearly as pretentious as some Italian places. David was our waiter and was super attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant has amazing light and great vibes .I like that the menu is small and looks a small newspaper .The pasta was amazing their where 5 in our group everyone loved the pasta dishes .the service was amazing and very attentive. There is not a patio that I seen and they do not have happy hour specials .

It's a cute place and the food was great unfortunately the service was so so. We got our pasta before the salads. If you order a beer it's going to take at least 10 minutes. I hoped for more. I wasn't wowed by anything.

    Pricing is fair.

I have been so excited to try Malfi since both Oklahoma locations have opened! I didn't realize the OKC one went in where Packards once was. It looks totally different inside! Our waitress was fantastic. We loved the white wine she suggested, so she even showed us the bottle so we know what to look for on our own! I loved the Arancini and Caesar salad! The salad is easily shareable. My bolognese was good. Very closely authentic, but I could have used a bit more salt to the sauce. I'll try the Tulsa one next. And I want to try the desserts!

The same color theme and vibe runs through the OKC Malfi (light and airy like in Tulsa). Inside, I could not have guessed I was in the old Packard's . Service was totally spectacular. Our server could NOT have been better. I had the white bean dip in Tulsa so I wanted to try the arancini here. They were good (3 to an order) and the sauce that accompanied them was fantastic. Truth though...I would order the white bean dip instead. I had a bite or two of the Caesar and I loved all the cheese piled on top. Again, in Tulsa, I had the bucatini and loved it! I decided to try the tagliolini here. Honestly, it was kind of meh. I tried a glass of the featured wine, a white that was truly delicious. (See my photo for the name. The server was kind enough to bring out a bottle for us to snap a photo of.) I will return.

Thrilled we saw Malfi listed as the best Italian restaurant in OKC! We booked dinner there on a Saturday in January -- our first dinner in OKC as we took in the sights for a weekend. Malfi is a warm and inviting space, with a friendly hostess and staff. We felt welcomed and were never rushed. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were seated promptly. After ordering a bottle of wine, we started with Crispy Zucchini and Tomato Toast. The Zucchini was fried eggplant and squash blossoms, with labneh, lemon, parmesan and herbs. It was full of flavor and not too heavy. The labneh and lemon made everything pop! As my son described the dish, it is like onion rings but for adults. While my son favored the Zucchini. the Tomato Toast was my preferred starter. Piled with fresh tomatoes and garlic, I could not get enough! For my entree, I enjoyed spaghetti with tomato, garlic, basil and parmesan. It was fresh and flavorful and took me back 50 plus years to childhood! Still, Mom could never have made such a staple dish taste as good as Malfi does! Easy five stars!

This place was very hyped since it just opened a few months ago, and I kept hearing about it from friends and coworkers who were dying to try it. When we went, the first thing we disliked was the location. Parking was really hard to find, and there are no restrooms inside the restaurant. You have to go outside and use the public restrooms in the little strip mall, which was not ideal. The restaurant itself is very trendy and aesthetic, and I think it's a lovely spot for a drinks and apps night. The menu is super cute and everything looked good. Our server was very sweet and helpful with recommendations. We loved the limoncello drink and the carpaccio, but unfortunately the pasta dishes were way too creamy and pretty bland for our taste.

We started off with drinks. I got the limoncello spritz which was delicious. For an app we got the arancini, it was so fresh and crispy. For the main I got the steak which was cooked to perfection. The side salad and potatoes were also so good. My friend got the bucatini, the pasta was thick and paired well with the pesto and burrata. Overall, it's a super cute spot! The service was great and the food was delicious. Definitely try if you're a pasta lover!

    Burrata and prosciutto with sourdough

Malfi was such a fun yet classic Italian spot that I've been dying to try! The place certainly has character, from its bold interior to the fun newspaper style menus. And the servers were so fun, checking on us often and following up on how we liked our dishes! Burrata with prosciutto and sourdough - incredible. The burrata is so soft and almost sweet, and spreads so satisfyingly on the toasted sourdough, which has a perfect crisp bite. Add the prosciutto on top for the savory layer and it was a starter I couldn't get enough of! Tagliatelle bolognese - the sauce on this is so flavorful and full! Definitely leans more on the savory side than tangy. The tagliatelle itself proved to be a little thin for my liking, but I think that was my personal taste. However, I really enjoyed this and would get it again! Bucatini with pesto and whipped burrata - recommended by not one but TWO servers as their favorite dish! My friend ordered it and I snagged a bite, and for the amount of hype it got I have to say it underwhelmed me a bit. However, my friend said she really liked it and I didn't get the whole dish, so I trust it must be better in full! I'll have to get it next time. Ricotta cake with diplomat cream and lemon curd - like a luscious lemon bar in cake form. One of my favorite cakes I've had, I loved it. The cream is light, the lemon curd is bright, and the soft cake on the bottom is just dense enough to create the perfect bite. It's safe to say I'm in love with this cake. Overall, I loved Malfi and I'll certainly be back to try more things on their menu!

The restaurant was really good. I love the atmosphere and the environment. Our waitress is really nice. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the kill salad and a bourbon smash both were delicious.

This is a very cute Italian restaurant. I went with a friend this week for dinner. The aesthetics are on point. Cute menus and decor. We order the bruschetta toast and it was not the best. The flavor was amazing but the toast was so hard you could break a tooth. The pasta was very good. I got the bolognese and my friend got the pesto!

On paper, it should be an ideal place to unwind over a cocktail after work. But somebody in management desperately needs to rethink the music programming. At about 5:30 on a Monday evening, with four patrons in the bar, the soundtrack bounced from Faith No More's "Epic" to Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog," then Tai Verdes' "Two Sugars," Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Black Summer," and finally Green Day's "Stab You in the Heart." The problem isn't the music itself--I actually like much of it. It's that the playlist seems completely disconnected from the room, the time of day, and the energy of the guests. O Bar is giving upholstered chairs, skyline views, martinis, and early-evening decompression. The soundtrack is giving 1973 Camaro doing 87 on I-40. By the time Green Day came on, the disconnect was almost comical: The room: "Would you care for another martini while you watch the sun settle over downtown?" Corporate soundtrack: "STAB YOU IN THE HEART." I politely asked the bartender whether we could switch to something a little more mellow. He couldn't have been nicer, but explained that the music is controlled by corporate and staff aren't allowed to change it. Apparently he has even gotten in trouble for trying to play something more appropriate. That's the part management should pay attention to. Music is part of hospitality design. A sophisticated bar like this needs thoughtful dayparted music programming: Monday at 5:30 is not Friday at 10:30. Nobody is asking for elevator music--give the room personality--but early happy hour calls for something with enough pulse to keep the space alive while staying behind the conversation. The bartender clearly understood the room. Give your staff some discretion, or at least give them playlists that respond to the setting they're actually working in. Excellent bartender. Excellent setting. Good food and cocktails. But the soundtrack was so relentlessly mismatched with the early-Monday atmosphere I wanted that I scarfed down my food and quickly sought Monday-vibe shelter elsewhere. Management: please give this beautiful room the soundtrack it deserves.

Walking in, it was dimly lit & it reminded me of a bar Downtown in Tulsa. We found a table (the place got filled up pretty quick afterwards) caddy corner to the bar & we got help quick. My partner ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, a friend of mine ordered some Truffle Fries & a drink that I didn't catch - as for me, I got the Ginger Beer (I don't drink). The Oaxacan Old Fashioned looked nice with the orange peel climbing out of the glass & had a really good aroma (I took a big whiff of it). The ginger beer was a spicy ginger beer & it was really good. With every sip, it was opening up my nostrils, it had some spice to it for sure. I tried my friend's Truffle Fries & it's something I'd order, especially if I wasn't as hungry & wanted a "snack". You can smell the truffle while the taste was real subtle. All in all, the place was chill. It was a nice wind down from leaving an art show & The Collective (I had no clue it turned into a clubbish scene on a Saturday... they were jammin' that night). My friend was a regular there, the individual who served us was super nice & friendly. There was whole menu to explore full of sandwiches, burgers (I want to try the South West Burger along with the Umami Burger) & all kind of other dishes to choose from. As much as I come down to OKC, I still get familiar with the scene more & more - R&J is added to the list of places that I'd return to. Side Note: A friend of my friend stopped by right before my partner & I left. She ordered the Brussel Sprouts and Bacon & in my head, I dove into her plate before she could.
