Situated in a quaint house, the inside has a lot of natural sunlight coming in from their big windows, and there's a lot of seating outside as well. The staff are very friendly, and their coffee is very good! I got the woolly rhino, which was very tasty. It wasn't too sweet, yet it' had little of the bitter flavor of coffee that I tend to dislike. If you plan to come here, note that this place gets very busy early morning to noon. It may take 20 to 30 minutes to receive your order, and there may or may not be any inside seating. The afternoons are not too bad. read more

I stopped here on my way from Jackson to Waco. It was a lovely pit stop and had ample parking in front and the strip mall lot across the road. There were also plenty of seats indoors, on the patio, or in the entryway foyer. I got the Tomato Pesto Flatbread and Peachberry Matcha Lemonade. Both were okay, nothing special. second time here and i'm so glad i came!! i got two of the breakfast burritos and wow were they packed! the bacon was perfectly crispy and the salsa was amazing to dip it in. reasonably priced to. i also got a medium iced latte. the espresso is so mellow and delicious and the price point is perfect. the atmosphere is cozy and comforting. there are many places to sit, although i got my order to go. they had their tree up still (which i love) and it made the vibes even better. i think ill treat myself to rhino once a week before work! thanks so much! edit: had some leftover salsa to dip chips in. this salsa is insane and i need the recipe! also wish the salsa was in a bigger cup as that small cup isn't big enough for the whole burrito! read more

I moved from out-of-state recently and received a lot of recommendations to visit this place. The coffee is alright. I typically get a cortado to get a sense of a coffee shop's beans but not something overly powering like a straight-up espresso. Sometimes they do coffee art (not a requirement) but disappointing when you get your drink and it looks bland. I've gotten this drink a few times. It's more acidic and foamy, more like macchiato than a real cortado. I tried their iced mocha and am wondering if they use a syrup based chocolate than actual chocolate shavings. It's very cloying, not rich. Also was a bit disappointed to get their smoked salmon. I wish they would note in the description that they HOT smoke their salmon. It's not cold-smoked which is what I was expecting. I have also visited the South location and the drinks are the exact same; at least they are consistent. The space is great. I still enjoy coming here to study, and I appreciate that their hours as most places close by 5 PM which is why I have bumped them to 3 stars instead of just 2. read more

The first thing worth noting is the obvious- IT IS CUTE. Like really cute. Like please take my picture a hundred times so that I can maybe find 1 I like to post on Instagram, cute. Even now while we are avoiding crowded spaces they have a lovely patio with plenty of seating that feels spaced out and comfortable. The second thing I must gush about is their beans. They have a lot of roasts. Sometimes this can be a red flag, but in their case it's obvious it's years of practice and skill. They have multiple roasts because they CAN. This even includes collaboration roasts and seasonal blends. The coffee tastes wonderful. And if you are not a coffee enthusiast the simple syrups are house-made and really tasty as well. Finally the service is awesome. My first time at Rhino was well over 4 or 5 years ago. Young faces then, young faces now. But still so polite, kind, and here's the big one PATIENT. Patience is something even the best baristas struggle with...Coffee can be overwhelming especially when you haven't had any in the day yet! The baristas at Rhino will chat you through your order with divine patience. I love that. I love this coffee shop so much that I even purchased a mug!!!!! I live around New Orleans and when I go to visit Shreveport, it is essential that I stop here. I love their seasonal drinks. They have a decent seating area, but I personally love sitting out back in their patio. They are very busy on weekends, so I recommend using the app to order if you can. The employees are very helpful with providing suggestions. When traveling I much prefer to support a local business as opposed to Starbucks. And I much prefer a quality meal, even if a simple breakfast burrito, over fast food. It was fun to find this cute and quaint spot. There were multiple rooms to sit within such as a long bar looking out the entrance window, a room with a large living room feel (best for meetings), a room that seemed like the quiet focused space and last there was an outdoor patio. It had its own unique vibe and cozy experience that we always look for when traveling. Breakfast burrito and salsa were great. My matcha with oat milk was good though not my typical milk to matcha ratio. It had an interesting melon aftertaste, not bad just different. I loved this shop. The food was absolutely phenomenal - especially for a small coffee shop. We had the spinach quiche, the breakfast burrito, a breakfast sandwich, a bagel and a blueberry muffin. I also ordered a drink special - the lightning mocha. The mocha was supposed to be hot but when it was made iced I honestly didn't mind because it was smooth and delicious! The blueberry muffin was soft and sugary on top. The quiche was absolutely WAY better than I imagined and I would have gotten another if I'd known, it was packed with filling and the crust was flaky and not soggy at all. The breakfast burrito had thick bacon cuts and truly was phenomenal as well. I wasn't a big fan of the sandwich because the egg was an odd texture. read more

Rhino coffee is a great spot to hang out for a coffee if your in shreveport. The have a great selection as well and great food choices to pair. My go to order is the Rhino Biscuit every time! The biscuit has a great cheesy flavor to it with a hint of herbs and it is pretty sizable. The egg and sausage compliments the biscuit wonderfully leaving your mouth with amazing flavors. The staff is always pretty pleasant as well. The employees are very personable and can give great recommendations if you don't know what to choose from their pretty extensive menu. However, if you order food, and this also depends on what you order, it can take a minute to come out. Which is always okay with me because it gives an opportunity to enjoy the location itself. It has a wonderful backyard with seating, as well as three other seating rooms. I am almost certain that another reason it can take some time for the food to come out is that they do not just rush food out without care, everything is correct and is always great. Been here a few times over the last couple years and unfortunately the service has been really slow each time. The first time it took us 15min-ish to get our toasted bagel then this time it took us almost 30 mins for our French press. I would understand if the place was busy but the few times we've been there they haven't been THAT busy. Also, I don't understand why you don't offer mugs for people dining in. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy drinking coffee or a $6 French press out of a paper cup. read more
