    Thee most perfect Guinness!
    Gladys A.

It was my first time making a trip to Mammoth Lakes and my friend and I stumbled upon this pub gem! We got there at about 6pm on a Saturday so it wasn't so busy yet (which I personally enjoy more), super cozy atmosphere, our bartender Possum (I hope I got that correct) was super welcoming and awesome, and they had a nice selection of draft beers & spirits. I ordered my first ever Guinness (have tried it before but never actually ordered one, been heavy into Guinness series on Netflix so was excited about that) and it was thee most perfect Guinness! I appreciate that they had touch tunes around the time we were there so was able to enjoy my dranks to some of my fav jams. Eventually as the night progressed more people started arriving and it did get much livelier and packed so it'd be mindful of that depending on what kind of experience you're trying to have. Overall, I definitely look forward to visiting again in the future and recommend checking this sweet pub out :-)

Great ambience, I don't know what the other reviews we're talking about the bartenders were amazing. That said the website and Facebook are wrong, happy hour ends at 6 not 6:30 or 7. They were also out of the cider and Irish coffee. Good time overall though.

Service was great, ambiance was a cool vibe, but the food was terrible. This is a great place to grab a drink. Eat somewhere else.

Even though the food tasted alright and the staff were wonderful, we got food poisoning from the dinner we had there.

We had a couple of options to pick from but thought to try this place. So glad we did. It felt very homey and the vibes were so nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. I don't know what some of the reviews are saying. The food we got were so delicious. The lobster burrito and the duck quesadilla were so flavorful. Ive never had one like this before. I honestly think the food Mexican food here is way better than whatever we have in Hawaii. It was very chill and the server would check in on us and made sure we were good. If you're in this area, I would definitely recommend you to come try their duck and lobster items. Also the portion is very shareable so keep that in mind! I would definitely eat here again if we come back to Mammoth!

Decided to still try out a couple of new spots to give Mammoth a chance and was pleasantly surprised by Mammoth Tavern. Stopped in on a Saturday night and were told that the wait would be about 30 to 40 minutes but were seated in about 10! I highly recommend waiting in their waiting area or downstairs for your table as they will come to find to if something opens up quicker. Everything we ordered was tasty. We were very hesitant to try the Asian sticky ribs but it actually ended up being really good. I can't remember what the vegetable dish (4th pic) was called but it was also very good if you got a bite with everything in it. It had sweet potato, beet, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds! We also ordered some drinks. The curry drink (forgot the name) was surprisingly good despite the odd list of ingredients that went in. Their local black cherry soda was also very nice. Service is great and very helpful when it came to recommendations. The space is small and doesn't allow dogs which was a bummer but still a spot I would come back to try more of their seasonal items!
