Rialto Cafe is what i would call a gem in Dowmtown Fullerton. I've been coming here off and on for around 9 years i would say. All the food is good but breakfast here is my favorite. I normally get steak and eggs with a side of sourdough and hash browns. Steak is always perfectly cooked how it is ordered. My partner is a pescatarian and normally gets a veggie option but wanted to try something new this time and ordered the salmon scrambler i think its called. She absolutely loved it. We love this place and come whenever we have a chance. Great food, service is nice and the clientel is as well. read more

I got the breakfast burrito and my friend go the BLTA. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I put crispy hashbrowns in my burrito and got the becky style. It was yummy. But, it's pretty tough. We came here on New Years Day and loved it! They were able to accommodate our party of 5 and our dog and set a table for us as the street was blocked off. The service was very friendly and accommodating and food was great! Typically love this place. Today it closed at 2pm. We show up at 1:20-1:25pm and they already did last call. Full restaurant but last call is 35 minutes before close? They would not let us have a table. Guys...you could of served us. Me: "so what time is last call?" Host: "basically now" 1:23pm Host: "we can't seat you but you can order takeout." So basically after 1:20 it's closed? With only takeout? I've probably been here 20 times. This is the first I've ever heard of this rule. This place is still great. But this rule is crazy. Was here Monday May 8th, 2022 at 8 30am to meet a couple other people for breakfast. Had reviewed many of the post here on Yelp about this little place and honestly was not expecting what I found as a customer. Had seen plenty of negative post and I'm sorry those people didn't experience the same great service and food when I visited. Ordered the Wilshire Omelet with wheat toast and has browns, and just did a glass of water, $14.50 plus tax and tip was my part of the bill. Pros- Service was great, seems to be a team effort as checked on by more than one person during our service. Place was spotless, sat by the large round table by one of the two front windows, very nice. Bathrooms, kept locked and spotless. Wheat toast a great slice of some kind of loaf I have never had before, was good! Food came out fast, and served hot. We were not rushed and both people I was here with liked this place very much. Plenty of outdoor seating available for those who enjoy the dining. Parking seems like it could be an issue during busy times in this area, but it was a slow and peaceful Monday morning for me so no issues! Cons- None. read more

Second time coming here and it is slowly becoming our go to brunch spot. The wait is never terrible seeing as they have a huge outdoor area. If you're eating here and are paying cash, you better have exact change otherwise, they will keep your change and not bother to give you an explanation as to why. I paid cash and the cashier took my money and was getting ready to walk away when I asked her where my change was. She says they don't give change. Wtf?! Rialto is pretty small and there's not a whole lot of seating, so it can get busy pretty fast. I try to come early so as to avoid a longer wait time. Whenever I come here, I always order the breakfast crostini or the french toast. Both are such delicious and light breakfast options. Think "American brunch/breakfast" without the gross, sluggish food coma feeling afterwards. And I love that the french toast is so unique as well. I want to love this place but there is one definite area that needs improvement. The food we had was just not good. We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The order was steak and eggs with hash browns and a Denver omelette with breakfast potatoes. The steak was ordered medium rare but came over cooked. The hash browns were good. The Denver omelette was disappointing on all fronts. The eggs were over cooked, the omelette was dry and not seasoned. The breakfast potatoes were super undercooked and not good. Another personal complaint was the toast came unbuttered with margarine on the side, not with real butter. The staff was very nice and the ambiance was good- no complaints there. If I come back I'll probably order the parfait just to sit outside and have a mimosa. read more

My "IT" and Go-To" Breakfast spot in downtown fullerton! The menu serves breakfast ALL DAY and has a lunch section with sandwiches and salads. I usually get breakfast items. I get the Go-Greek Omelette with the house potatoes (the house potatoes are so popular that they sometimes run out of them before lunch time. The hash-browns are still good if that does happen). The savory strawberry crepes are delicious for someone with a sweet tooth (they come with four so they are great to share). My Rialto date always says the bacon is thick and crispy which is a plus and hard to find at breakfast places. If you are a coffee person then you're in luck! They serve stumptown coffee, which also happens to be my favorite. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice. I mean who wouldn't love that? They also have beer options and mimosa's for the Sunday brunch experts. Lastly, the employees are friendly and always helpful! read more

Rialto Cafe is a popular Breakfast / Brunch Cafe in Downtown Fullerton. It's capacity is about 40-50, so yes it's small, and yes it's popular, so yes you will have to wait. You can't rush people to finish their food, pay and leave. On the other hand, when you do sit down and are paying for a service, you should be served in a appropriate way. The food should come out in timely manner, and yes you shouldn't wait to get your check cuz that won't help the ladder. That's what I experienced at Rialto today, the food is delicious, got the Smaoked dsalmon scrambler and eggs Benedict, both good. I would have them again, but yes I agree with the negative feedback about the service. It's a bit slow, the food takes a long time to come out and they maybe under staffed. If you don't mind the wait but do want to enjoy some good food them give them a try. read more

I remember coming here years ago and and thoroughly enjoying the eggs Benedict. I went back this week; it was the first time in years. The line was just as long as I remembered. Here's an improvement, they now have an indoor waiting area so you dont have to stand on the curb freezing, or just getting tired standing in the sun. A better explanation should be given when telling people to go in the hallway for a seated waiting area. We were not the only ones to walk hesitantly through the door that leads to the bathrooms. The server pointed us in that direction so quickly so we werent sure of what he was really saying LOL!! Did he want us to have a seat in the bathroom stall?? ‍ Anyhoo... we waited for about 25-30 min for a table for 2. It was just before 11am on a drizzly friday morning. Upon ordering the eggs benedict, i was promptly informed that they had sold out of the eggs benedict before 10am. And the house potatoes were sold out as well. Here's my beef: if you know that the eggs benedict and house potatoes are popular items, then you should tell ALL patrons who enter after they're sold out, that they ARE sold out. If I had known the eggs benedict were unavailable, I would not have waited the 25-30 minutes that i did. Right?? Doesn't that make sense to tell people?? So, i settled on the breakfast panini and my bf got the french toast. I cant eat spicy food, so i deleted the roasted aioli from the panini. The panini was def lacking in flavor. Pretty blah. Ugh. So my choice is spicy or bland? Booooo.... The french toast... what a misnomer. Granted, it was a French baguette. Not sure why they don't update their hours on Yelp. Kind of disappointing when you make the drive there & walk up to their open store front then someone runs out to tell you that they're closed. Hours on Yelp says they close at 3:30pm. We arrived just before 2pm. We've dined here once before. The wait is long, especially during peak brunch hours. The food is decent, a little pricey but expected in DTF. If you want good service and good food do not come here. The pictures look great on Instagram but it's not worth the bad service. I got on the waiting list and after waiting the only two tables available were in the sun. I said no thank you and asked if I could sit on one of the tables further down. They said I could but they could not serve me . I then said well my son is hungry I'll order to go. I ordered the food to go while physically sitting down in one of the seats my intention was still to eat at the location. My order took long, the food was cold and they didn't put my condiments or utensils in the bag. Never coming here again. read more

I used to love this place. My husband and I were obsessed with Rialto's quiche and always had good service. When we went a couple weekends ago, however, it was the first time we had been back in several years and were very disappointed. The people working there couldn't hide their poor attitudes, and on top of being inattentive and taking forever to take our orders in a basically empty restaurant, they barely provided any customer service. The worst part, though? An outright lie. Again, we come for the quiche. But, when we tried to order it (an hour or so after the place opened) we were told by the server that they "ran out" of quiche for the day. So color me surprised when, after we finished our meals, another group came in, sat down at a table near us... and ordered (and received) quiche. May seem like pettiness on my part, but this place had tanked--particularly in any amount of meaningful customer service. read more

Fist let me say that the staff was really nice here. I love the atmosphere and the surrounding area was really nice. Unfortunately the food was not very good. I ordered the huevos rancheros and im sad to say that they were anything but that. The dish was basically two fried eggs sitting on two corn tortillas with some cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. On the side was a small portion of chopped tomatoes mixed with jalapeños or serrano Chili's and a small portion of black beans. My wife ordered the French toast and said it had a fair taste to it, but had a very small amount of strawberry sauce. The coffee was pretty good though. I would come here again because I believe you can't judge a place just based on a couple of dishes. read more

Although, it's busy the staffs are very friendly. It takes about good amount of 10minutes for the food to be served. The hashbrown is fresh. I loved my eggs benedict which ham was substituted to salmon instead of ham. Everything seemed to be fresh! You can't sit too long since the chair is uncomfortable and the music is way too loud. This place is pretty small so it doesn't seatthat many people so expect to wait a bit during the weekend. Luckily, there are quite a few parking spots for everyone to park at. The food is kind of pricey, but that is expected for a cute little hipster coffeeshop located in downtown Fullerton. I got the French toast which was an interesting take on the french toast. It was two large slabs of baguette with cream sauces all over them. The cream sauces were absolutely amazing and the berries were so fresh and delicious. Really great cafe! I stopped by with 5 other friends, and had to wait a little extra because of the larger party size. This is an exceptionally small place, so to avoid waiting long, get there early! Any place that serves breakfast all day, is doing great in my book! I shared the French Toast and the Rialto Rancheros. Both dishes were excellent and beautifully plated. I really enjoyed the food and the service was fantastic. This is a great little addition to the great Downtown Fullerton area, and has some amazing food options. We ordered the Rialto Rancheros (baguette with tomato spread topped with fried egg sprinkled with blue cheese, tomatoes, and sliced garlic) as well as The Wilshire Omelette (their version of a kitchen sink). Nothing too fancy but humble and tasty. Prices range from $9-14 dollars. They serve alcohol for those who want mimosas in the morning and cold brew for straight edge folks. Even though this place is a little bit on the tiny side it honestly packs a lot of flavor and has amazing class/style. I have been here with many different groups of people from very young to my age (oldies) and all have had wonderful experiences. If you have never been I would really suggest coming here and trying either an omelette or the eggs Benedict. During the weekends this place might get a little bit on the busy side so I would suggest getting here right when they open. A lot of parking all around Downtown Fullerton and you don't have to pay it is all free!! The water that they serve you is pretty flavorful and also the service is on key. Love this cute little brunch spot located in Downtown Fullerton! I've gone countless times to catch up with friends and I've never had an unpleasant experience. If you have trouble finding any parking in front, there's plenty more in the back. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but never more than a few minutes. It's really small inside with a tiny bar and only a few tables outdoors. Highly recommend the Rialto not your average French toast. It's unique because it's lighter and more refreshing. Thinly sliced French baguette topped with cheese, berry compote, and creme, yum! The Rialto parfait is also really great because they use tart Greek yogurt topped with crunchy granola and fresh berries.
