What a nice tasting room. Red Spanish varietals with really good taste. Friendly staff who will walk you through the tastings. All the reds are dry. One of my favorite places in Lodi. If you see Rick the winemaker, strike up a conversation with him.

I love that I don't have to decide between wine or beer, I can have both!

This place has both great wines and fabulous beers. The pourers are super nice and the atmosphere can't be beat. A great place for a group where some want to drink wine exclusively and some prefer beer.

This place was small and cozy when we came in for some wine tasting. There was a counter with multiple stools and one guy helping everybody. The wine tasting was $7 per person and there were seven different wines to taste. The guy pouring the wine was very knowledgeable and friendly. There were a few others at the bar with us and everybody was doing their own thing or having their own conversations with the guy that worked here which was fine to me. We tried 7 different wines that Riaza Wines had at the time we went which were Elemental, Irreverent, Soul, Double Barrel, Prospector, The Standard, and Diablo Rojo. Out of all of the wines, I liked The Standard the best which was Zinfandel from Cemetery Vineyard in Lodi. It definitely lived up to its name in my opinion. Good place for some wine tasting to me!

Coming in to Riaza is like walking into your best friend's home. It's cool, inviting, and you wish it was yours. Rick and Duncan are geniuses and friendly as a drunk raccoon after a night of dumpster diving. Their wines taste phenomenal. The events they hold are second to none. They create an experience that makes you appreciate wines and winemaking. More importantly, they treat you like family the moment you walk through the door.

Good wines, but didn't buy anything.

We stopped by this winery during the Wine & Chocolate Event, Feb. 13 & 14, 2016. It's a medium-sized tasting room located in a downtown/square area. They were serving bacon-wrapped dates for the event, which was incredibly delicious! The wines were good, although we didn't buy any. None of them really stood out to us. The service was nice and attentive. I would return again.

This business is located in the corner next to several other businesses . Walk though the gate and it opens up to a space with high ceilings and barrel display with warm lighting . The bar seats a good amount of people and also some seating for couples. They have two lists with about 6 wines to try for wine tasting. Prices are reasonable. The selection is really good. Marie the lady who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine selection and history. She made the experience memorable.

We were quickly greeted by the friendly female hostess who offered us either indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to sit indoors to enjoy our tastings of both whites & reds . Normally I prefer reds however in the summer I enjoy a crisp Sauvangion Blanc or even a nice Rose. If you purchase a bottle your tasting fee is waived which is always a great deal. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned for the Alpine Block party event which included tastings at Stonum Vineyards and two other nearby wineries. This fun filled evening included live music, food trucks, and the Lodi Wine trolley shuttling you back & forth between the wineries. Definitely a good time! I highly recommend Stonum Vineyards & Tasting Room for great wine, friendly service and well coordinated, entertaining events.

I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. First, their reputation has always been very good. They've had some recognition from some reputable wine sources so I had very high expectations for the wine. In, short, the wines were very good. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.

Last weekend on a trip to Sacramento, I finally had a chance to stop by their Olive Mill and Winery. There is a nice sparking clean outdoor patio with picnic tables within a few steps from the olive oil grove but it was a bit hot that day so we opted to sit inside. In addition to the olive oil tasting set, there were some brunch items such as a crostini and salad as well as a Mediterranean plate with hummus. We opted for the crostini, olive oil tasting and a cappuccino. The jalapeño olive oil was unique and flavorful enough that we bought a couple bottles of it to take home. The pear vinaigrette was thick and tangy. The waitresses were friendly and helpful when we had a couple questions about the dishes. The shelves in the shop area is full of flavored olive oils and vinaigrette as well as ceramic and a whole slew of items for serving charcuterie. If you are a fan of olive oil and are planning on a trip up to Sacramento or Lake Tahoe, would definitely recommend stopping by to check out Calivirgin.

The main lawn area was closed off for a wedding starting at 4:30 PM, so we set up on the extended grass section to the left. We brought a mat to relax on and a deck of cards, which turned into some pretty competitive games of Speed. For food, we ordered 2 dozen oysters and a pepperoni pizza with added jalapeños. We specifically mentioned NO pineapple due to my partner's allergy. After finishing our oysters, our pizza was finally ready... and guess what? It had pineapple on it. Thankfully, we checked before taking it back to our area. The staff remade it correctly, and about 30 minutes later we got the jalapeño pizza we originally ordered. It was absolutely delicious! One more little hiccup: after opening my tab, the staff member forgot to return my ID. I didn't realize it until I was already back in Elk Grove, so I had to make the trip back to pick it up. Despite those mishaps, Viaggio is always a vibe. Great selection of wine, plenty of space to relax, and tons of cute photo opportunities. We'll definitely be back more often .. just like old times! While waiting in line, I also overheard a customer frustrated about being double charged, and staff mentioned there was no manager available on-site to help resolve the issue.
