My daughter and son in law wanted to take me to their favorite pizza place and Italian eatery. Having lived on the east coast, now residing in California, it was a definite plus the owner is from Jersey! Westley was our server, and I cannot say enough kind words about this young gentleman. He was prompt and knowledgeable, and made sure our meal was delivered timely and in excellent order. It is a quiet tucked away osteria well lit and cozy. With Frank Sinatra softly crooning in the background, the staff were all well trained and so enjoyable. The meal was so delicious- we were all well satiated! We did get desserts to share and even ordered pizzas to take home for future meals(they live over an hour away). The pizza counter was packed with take away customers! What a treat! Kind of a tucked away spot and not the easiest place to understand how to order or pay. However, the food was very good and the prices are fair. We did not have to wait, but I could tell others enjoyed the food and service as well. Our food came out quickly and the staff was friendly. read more

I've had lunch here twice. The first time I had a Stromboli. Not bad, but pretty wet. The second time was a few days before Christmas and the place was packed and our order took about 15 minutes. I had a calzone and it was ok. They only offer it with ham. They forgot one of our side orders so by the time I got it I asked for it to go. The staff was very friendly but I was disappointed to see some of the food being delivered to another customer fall off the plate onto the floor. There was no attempt to clean it up and it got stepped on repeatedly due to the high volume of customers. They were extremely busy but food on the floor in a restaurant is a "no go" for me. I hope to try their fine dining dinner in the future but won't go back for lunch. Ambiance... there is none in the lunch area. read more

Perfect spot for a casual family meal!" Stopped in with my kids and we were all impressed. The kids each had a slice of pizza, and they devoured it. The crust was crispy, the cheese was melty, and the flavor was on point--classic New York style just like it should be. My partner and I split a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and were seriously impressed. The bread was soft but held together perfectly, and the meat was seasoned just right--not too salty, not too greasy. I grew up in New Jersey eating great NY-style thin crust pizza my entire life. After living in places where peoples' ideas about Pizza involved Domino's and Little Caesars, I found myself living in Laramie, Wyoming and discovered Mondello's in Cheyenne. You can tell by my 5 star rating that Mondello's is the real thing: delicious, cheesy, crispy pizza available by the slice along with an authentic pizzeria menu. They know pizza; they even slice sausages (for pizza topping) the NY/NJ way. I think it's the best "fast food" you can get in Cheyenne. I put fast food in quotes because they make their pies thoughtfully and it's only fast because they can quickly heat up any of their premade pizza. In Jersey we rarely ordered slices with toppings. A slice and a coke meant a cheese slice. You can't eat a Poppa John's pizza (my least favorite McPizza chain) without toppings. Mondello's cheese slices stand on their own with my favorite local NJ pizza joints, and that's saying something. read more

The pizza in the front looked delicious, but we opted for the dining area and were so wonderfully surprised. We started with insalata caprese, which was a bit flat. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without being obsequious. Our party was 3 adults and 2 toddlers. Stephen anticipated our and our toddlers needs and thought to bring out their dinner while we waited for ours, keeping them happy and busy. Brilliant! 3 servers made sure we always had water, bread and dipping sauces without being intrusive. Now the stars of the show...the food...we had the eggplant rolotini to start and I could have happily made a meal of that. Just a little hint of the delicious meals to come. Each of our dinners was exactly what we hoped they would be and im drooling just remembering them....and espresso, limoncello, tiramsu and limoncello cake for dessert. I have not had a meal and service of that excellent quality in a very long time and I am looking forward going again! We also were gifted some red sauce and pizza dough to take home I leave my home, with an ocean view, on the amazing central coast of Oregon, to go to Cheyenne to visit my grandsons...now it's the grandkids and Mondello! My husband is a bit of a pizza snob and while I rated this restaurant higher than him, we both left satisfied and agreed we would visit again. Pizza can be ordered by the slice or you can get a small, medium, or large. The ingredients were fresh and the toppings were very generous. The crust was crisp but not overcooked and had a good flavor. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Pizza is only available at the front of the restaurant and the back is for "fine dining." You cannot order pizza in the fine dining side. The pizzeria side was bright and clean. Frank Sinatra was the soundtrack that added to the ambiance. Was never aware they had a "Fine Dining" section, so my wife and I went with my brother and his wife. We were seated quickly, bread was prom served along with a pesto type sauce, appetizer order taken and about 20 minutes later our dinner orders. We got our appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and artichoke dip, and shortly after we got our salad. That was the ending of our dining experience. The waiter had chosen to stop visiting our table, stop checking on our order, and simply ignore us. My wife was finally able to get his attention and he reluctantly came over. We asked if he had forgotten us? No! He claimed. He was held up by his boss he explained. We asked about the status of our order. "You haven't gotten your food?" He asked. Nope. Then he claimed a large group in a secluded room was causing a backup in the kitchen. We checked, it was 6 people In the group. We waited over an hour after we received our appetizers!! More than one hour waiting on our dinners. Needless to say, we wont be visiting again. read more
