While staying in Clarksville we were looking for a non-chain restaurant as we always do when traveling. The parking area is big, with plenty of parking spaces and the inside has plenty of seating. It was a Friday night so we expected to wait at least 30 minutes. When we entered, we waited about 15 minutes. We were then seated at the "bar top", no alcohol is served here, no biggie tho, my tea was perfect. The atmosphere has a country/western feel with old hats hanging from the bar stools. and very family oriented. I'll start by saying our server, Hailey was amazing! She was so sweet and very attentive, checking on us regularly with a beautiful smile while making sure that we had a great experience. We started with the shrimp cocktail as our appetizer, it was great, we both added salads and they were really good too. The hubby had the biggest ribeye on the menu. He asked for medium rare, half of his steak was raw but the other half was MR(reasoning for 4 stars) He said the half cooked correctly was great. Oh wow, where to begin? My husband ordered the ribeye and it was perfection! He's quite a grill master and commented how it's one of the best ribeyes he's ever had. His side order of corn nuggets (corn cluster in a hush puppy like batter and fried) was oh so crunchy and delicious! He also ordered bacon wrapped shrimp as an add on to the steak and they are addictive! Seriously, I'm in our hotel room for the night and they're haunting me - wish I'd ordered some to take back to the room! The shrimp is wrapped in bacon and there's a hint of jalapeño with a wonderful cheese sauce on top. We both ordered salad and it was a nice size - not too small, not too large... just enough and so fresh. I ordered shrimp scampi with a side of sautéed onions. The scampi was light, yet bursting with that wonderful garlicky white wine savoriness! If we lived here, this would be a regular for us. Despite what the last review mentioned I visited anyways. The steaks are on the more expensive side so if that's what you decide to go with you're choosing to pay for what you want. The steaks are great and are hefty for what you're paying. All the steaks are under 40$ and you get a huge cheese butter garlic muffin that's amazing for no extra and one side as well so technically you're getting 2 sides. I have eaten here five or so times with coworkers (it is close to work, and some people without taste seem to like it). Slow, terrible service, and the food takes forever to arrive, usually one plate at a time. Evidently, the cook, who I think is the owner, can only cook one hamburger at a time. We had a group of eight people, and the ordeal took 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time we arrived to the time we left (this was at lunch. for hamburgers.) Called Ribeyes at 4:00 PM to ask if we could place a to go order and was told yes. So we called. At 5:45 after seeing what our friends wanted Then we got told they would not do to go orders after 5, which we were never told this at 4. So just to say we will never step foot inside or CALL no matter what. Any business that cared or appreciated what their patrons done during their hard times would have NEVER done that. They could have just said we can do it but it may be an hour before you can pick up and let the customer decide if they want to do that. RIDICULOUS AND MOST RUDE LADY WE HAVE EVER SPOKE TO. It was just missing the butter that I love to put on my steak because they only carry edible plastic, aka margarine (if you're thinking "oh the horror!", yeah... me too). I like to drown my steaks and veggies in butter so that was a huge disappointment, especially when you're spending $32 for a steak. No freshly ground pepper, either. Just your standard, old school salt and pepper shakers. The regular salad with balsamic vinaigrette was great but the Caesar salad used powdered parmesan which made it taste very cheap. My husband's twice baked potatoes were decent but my vegetable medley- a very generous portion of broccoli, squash, cauliflower, and carrots- was not very tasty. No, not at all. They were soggy with no flavor. Even though I do believe these were fresh and not prefrozen, they still tasted like someone opened a microwaveable bag of Green Giant frozen veggies and poured some margarine over them (how is margarine still even legal?). At 7:45 on a Saturday night, the parking lot was packed and there were three other parties waiting to be seated. The menu is fairly basic, with your general steak, chicken, and seafood entrees. He got a 12oz ribeye with baked potato and mushrooms. I went for the half order of grilled shrimp with a baked potato. As we waited for our food, we heard more than one regular patron tell newcomers (like us) that we would absolutely love the food. Low and behold, they were right. My shrimp was PERFECT, not undercooked and not rubber. The seasoning was nice, too. The baked potatoes were HUGE. My husband's steak was full of flavor and the mushrooms were delicious. What they didn't tell us (and I didn't notice on the menu) is that they also bring out biscuits. When the waitress sat them on the table, I was speechless. There is truly only one way to describe these biscuits...think Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits on steroids! Seriously, each one is a HUGE muffin of cheesy, bready goodness topped with a fantastic garlic butter that leaves you wanting more. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that the service can be kind of slow. They were running behind and it took nearly an hour to get our food. If there is a notch below casual - this place gets it. We actually liked that. It can take a while to be seated (small place) and it takes a while to get your order - so don't be in a rush.
