I stopped by to get a quote on reupholstering my 1993 Mazda RX-7's seats. While pulling into the lot, I saw Ricardo's Mazda REPU and I knew immediately I was at the right place. A grand experience! I needed the original headliner and armrest cover replaced in my 2006 Honda. I called many places but found Ricardo's the closest and actually the best price . The work was done over 6 hours. My car was returned to me very clean and it almost looked brand new considering the original 16 year old upholstery ( I take very good care of my car) . Ricardo treats women very well, while there I observed him interacting with two other ladies, we were treated with respect and I believe charged a fair and honest price for the work we requested. Been searching hi and low on the web for a motorcycle seat for my bike. Finally after a couples years i decided to flip through the search bar and find out if someone could re-upholster it. A new or used seat I was looking at 200-600 dollars. I found Ricardo's and brought it in. He gave me a quote which I though was a little high so he immediately came down to what I wanted to pay. Regardless of the amount here is where it all made the difference. As soon as I showed up he treated me like he knew me for years! His customer service was second to none! Customer service doesn't exist anymore and it's a big deal to me. All I needed was a MIMIMUM estimate to repair a small section of the front of my headliner (I know a little bit about the process, having done it before). In other words, regardless of how little effort is required, what is the minimum charge for any headliner re-glue. I took my motorcycle to Ricardo's, first thing in the morning on a weekday. He was ready to work on the seat in order to shave it so I could get more foot on the ground (tall bike). The shop was clean and was in a nice location near my place, and Ricardo seemed to definitely know his stuff. Bonus, he had worked on motorcycle seats before. Ricardo expertly removed the staples and hand-shaved the foam with a rasp, which was a pretty labor intensive job requiring a good eye for symmetry. He got the most foam off the seat without leaving it bare, and did a fantastic job. He also re-covered the seat perfectly using the original material, with no binding or wrinkling. I'm super happy with it. The price was reasonable too. If I had tried this myself I probably would have mangled the seat and had to buy a used seat on eBay--much more cost and aggravation. Get your seat done right the first time, especially if you're a short rider on a tall bike. Oh, Ricardo only takes cash, so bring some. read more

Brought my 2011 Lexus in for seat upholstery as they were cracking along the perforations (probably not the greatest design). Ricardo did the job in the day, the "synthetic leather" was a perfect match that he had to drive to DTLA to get, and the seats now look perfect. His son detailed the car, and now the whole car looks brand new. Excellent job. Not the cheapest, but I believe in this case, you get what you pay for, and the last thing one needs is a poor job on seats or the paint finish. read more

The leather on the center console/armrest in my Lexus RX350 was coming apart. I removed the part and took it to Recardo for repair. He removed the damaged leather and recommended a high grade leather-like vinyl to replace the leather in this high wear area. He matched the color and made a new cover while I waited. The finished part matched the color and sew pattern of the original part. Anyone would have a hard time noticing the interior part that was replaced. Ricardo is an old school artist and craftsman and I would trust him with any interior trim repair or replacement. There is a friendly atmosphere in the shop and I felt like I was being helped by a friendly neighbor. read more
