We have been going to Ricardo's for breakfast burritos for over 3 years now and they are always delicious and a very good size. This weekend we tried their birria for a gathering at our house and everyone raved how delicious it was, everyone had about 6 tacos each. The birria tray was more than enough for our 14 guest. The tray came with a large package of tortillas, chopped onions & cilantro and chips and salsa. We are grateful for their friendly and helpful service and great suggestions! Decided to check out this place for breakfast. I ordered a chorizo and egg burrito. The burrito was made fresh to order and was nice and hot. The chorizo was good and not greasy like some of the other places. Everyone inside seemed friendly and helpful and service was quick. Definitely will come back and try other things on the menu. The rolled tacos here are absolute trash. I never tried them here, but they leave alot to be desired. Soft, mushy, terrible presentation...just miserable. I found this place on Yelp looking for Birria, and saw it is so close to me! Kimberly was so sweet, and has great customer service. Everything is so fresh and delicious! The salsa bar is awesome, as was the quesabirria tacos. The burritos are HUGE, and the carne asada is nice and tender. We order from here often! They have the best tortillas and I love their green salsa. They have made adjustments to the inside of their location for Covid cleaning protocols and they appear very clean! I saw the girl up front wash her hands multiple times in front of me. We love their breakfast burritos and they are served all day! My favorite is the hash brown or country burrito. A simple bean & cheese burrito or Carne Asada Quesadilla is great too! Their prices are a little high, but so are the gross 'Fredericos' everywhere too, at least this place is family owned and their quality is a lot better! Reminds me of one of those Filiberto's/Julioberto's or something rather with the menu selection ... but it's more a sit down vibe - you order at the front, they ask for your name, and if you're eating there or even if you have a to-go order, seems they'll call you by name. I was trying to have a carne asada plate but didn't want the rice, and they would only sub for more beans, didn't have any other options (I suggested more lettuce or tomatoes and they declined. Not a fan of this as that should be an option for folks that want to reduce some carbs). I opted for more beans. When I told her I didn't want the tortillas it came with the woman taking our order suggested I grab the taco salad and if I didn't want the large tortilla shell that they could just serve as a salad. Definitely appreciated that and I ended up opting for that. She didn't ask whether we'd been there or not before (we had not) and so we just sat down and completely missed that there was a cart that offered fresh salsas, hot carrots, limes, and grilled onions and jalapeños. So we actually didn't grab these until I had eaten about a 1/4 of our meal, but realized someone else had arrived to their table (right next to us) with a tray of them. They didn't tell us or offer it (which would have given them an extra star for customer service). My cousin ordered some quesabirria tacos (you need to order at least 2 to get the consumé juice they come with) so she did. Those came out pretty funny and greasy (which of course they always are) but could have used more crispiness to dip into the juice. Flavor was prime though! Decent spot. Good food. Decent service. I'd come again if in the area, but wouldn't be my absolute first choice. read more

Ricardo's is a hidden gem. My lady and I wanted to try a New Mexican restaurant and stumbled upon Ricardo's. Talk about true, authentic, BIG SIZED PORTIONS served at this place. I ordered the 3 street taco combo platter with Al pastor as my choice of protein. Unfortunately you can only have a choice of 1. The combo came with refried beans garnished with cheese and two chips for dipping, the other side were the Spanish rice. Flavorful and filling to say the least. Not only is the food expensive, but the food is cold, the cheese is usually not melted, and they give you a difficult time to build your own burrito.
