Worst hair appointment I've had in my 29 years of my life! I was about 10 min late. Todd was directly and overtly grumpy about it and proceeded to rush the entire appointment. Look, customers CAN be late and things HAPPEN, and the employee should not PUNISH the client like that or make them feel guilty about it passive aggressively. Then, he MADE me put on a robe, whereas other hair designers put it on for you. He only put a white towel on my neck but nothing else on top to protect my clothing. There was a chair, so I did not understand why I had to be standing up while he cut my hair. And then he made me BRUSH MY OWN HAIR for distributing oil. Wtf?! I asked for ASH BLONDE colour because I want to lighten while minimizing the redness from my black hair, and he didn't tell me what colour he used, but my hair looks exactly the same black. Second wtf?! My white t-shirt was RUINED and WET with hair dye on the back of my neck as well as parts of my skin were stained with hair dye for days and my skin was hurt from trying to scrub if off. I asked for credit card payment before the appointment and that was the agreement, but he made me pay Zelle or Venmo when it came time for payment. Then he still asked me how much tip I will pay because he has to write it down. I couldn't believe he pressured a customer to pay the tip even though he didn't even phrase it that way. Now I can't even dispute the transaction with my bank because I had to pay over Zelle. It was a coupon price of $65 which was 48% off, but I really just should have gotten just a $35 haircut for the coupon price. My hair colour looks exactly the same as my original hair colour. Like how the heck does that happen? I would have thought someone who's been a licensed cosmetologist since 1980s would be more knowledgeable and more competent than this, so I am shocked. I can't wait to start visiting Korea every year again where hair designers are actually competent and knowledgeable and premium service is the norm. I always do a round of healthcare AND cosmetics when I go back, not here. If I have to do my hair again here in the future, I will be looking for a Korean hair designer who actually knows what they are doing and able to make the customer's request come to life. read more

I wanted to wait a couple of weeks after my keratin treatment by Von to leave a review so I could give an unbiased opinion. I am in LOVE with how my hair turned out and sooo grateful to Von and her team for helping me. Von took me in last minute to have my treatment done. She works very quickly and is a no BS kinda gal but she does awesome work and at a GREAT price. I have naturally curly 3a hair and because of my line of work, I was having such a hard time transitioning from wearing my hair up all day to trying to style it down when I was home and in my personal life. I had been struggling with feeling not very pretty and like I wasn't able to feel confident with my hair the way it was, because I'd always throw it up in a bun out of frustration. It's super coarse, thick, and frizzy and my curls are all different shapes so it's hard to style. I wanted to get this treatment done so I could style it easier day to day and wear it down finally! Well, I never stop wearing it down now and hate having to put it up for work rain, wind, humidity, you name it and my frizz is practically non existent. I still have some curly texture but my hair BEHAVES! I usually sleep with it dry in a French braid at night and it perfectly takes on these gorgeous light waves. Von also gave me some long layers and fixed my part and bangs so that they frame my face better. The only downside of the treatment that I noticed is that my hair gets oily MUCH faster (I've heard this is common) but I just use Eva NYC dry shampoo since it's safe for keratin treated hair. I also noticed a lot of dandruff-like flaking on my scalp for the past couple of weeks. Once my hair dried it would fall out for the most part but I have dark hair so it's much more visible. I finally tried doing a homemade scalp scrub (coconut oil, ACV, sugar, honey mixed up) and scrubbed the ever living crap out of my scalp and the next time I showered I had no more flaking!! I read online that the treatment can dry out the scalp and that flaking is common but in my case it was enough to make me want to try sometime to speed up the process of getting it out. I love this treatment and honestly can't WAIT to come back at the end of February for my second treatment and see how much better the results get. Thank you, Von!! read more

This salon has horrible customer service. In the past I had called to coordinate an appointment within a week for an important job interview but was not able to be accommodated. I understood timeframe may have been hard and attempted again several months later for my daughter and I to come in as new clients after our stylist had moved out of state. Unfortunately, this was the worst hair salon experience I have ever had. When I called the salon I to get an appointment for my daughter roughly at the end of the week or beginning of the next week and one for myself in the next two-three weeks. I was told I would receive a call back shortly to confirm availability but instead received a text several hours later from the stylist, Sergio, indicating his availability at 0930 on 8/13/21 and wanting to know whether or not Riley was a boy or girl for appropriate appointment length. When we arrived 10min early this morning, we were told Sergio was not at the salon yet and we could wait in the lobby. There was no further follow-up or check-in. I attempted to follow-up to Sergio's confirmation text approx 10min post appointment time to let him know we were in the lobby but he did not respond. The front desk arrived a little after and asked if we'd been helped. I explained our appointment had been at 0930 but still no help. She said she would call Sergio but appeared to only be texting and then walked downstairs with no follow-up. By 0950 I stood at the front check-in desk to follow-up again since the secretary had still not returned. Another woman asked if we needed help, to which I explained the situation. She also said she would call Sergio. When she returned, she stated that according to Sergio, the front had not put the appointment on his schedule. I then showed his confirmation text and she said she could see if anyone else could take my daughter but everyone was too busy. This place may look nice but their customer service is extremely poor and they are not accommodating. We will NOT be supporting our local business and will NOT recommend them to any family or friends. read more

I love coming here to get my hair done! They always do such a great job & make you so comfortable. They have lots of services, including nails and massages, and you can even shop here too. The only caveat is that they allowed the blonde hairstylist in the corner to bring a young child to work, who was running around me for me entire appointment, being loud and stomping. He fell many times- just goes to show he was not being supervised at all. I've never experienced this at any other hair salon. It's highly unprofessional and honestly it's rude to other clients who are trying to relax and enjoy their appointments. Other than that, the place is great. But it's a salon, not a day care. This definitely made me time here far less enjoyable. read more

Toni, from L.A.B (lash & brow), has been doing my lash lift for a while now, and I have always been satisfied with her service. My lashes as you could see from the before picture, are really straight, therefore, it's really a pain to keep them curled up even if I use a lash curler, but with the lash lift she did, you can see my lashes were curled beautifully. I had the keratin + tint , and these two combined work wonders really satisfied with her service and she always make sure that you get what you pay for. Melissa Wigger basically saved my life from a bad color job by my usual hair stylist. My natural hair color is red, and I asked the person who usually cuts my hair to dye it brown. It ended up coming out black/purple. Being a guy and wanting to do things the cheapest and quickest way possible especially when it comes to hair, I bought a hair removal product from the store and tried to remove the color myself. It took the black out, but basically left me with a weird brown/red/purplish color. It also completely destroyed the quality of my hair, turning it into a straw like texture that was extremely matted and brittle, so much that I couldn't even get a brush to run through. I was referred to the salon by my roommate and they put me in contact with Melissa, who was very understanding about the whole situation and spent a lot of time with me. Melissa made me feel really comfortable as a guy being in a salon and was fun to talk with as well. I showed her pictures of what color I wanted and she took time to educate me on a few of the different aspects of hair coloring like toning, highlights, babylights, warm and cool colors, and more. I knew nothing about any of this and she was happy and excited to explain it all in a way that I could understand. Even though I was there for 3 hours it felt like it went a lot quicker. She went with adding in babylights into my hair and using a toner to remove all the red out. It put my hair at a medium brown with tiny gold slivers scattered throughout, as to not look obviously highlighted. This apparently makes my hair "multidimensional." Considering where it started from, it looks so amazing that it's almost hard to believe its even possible. She also did some deep conditioning and pH balancing that removed the strawlight textured of my hair and almost brought it back to being perfectly smooth. Was greeted at the front desk by a very friendly associate and the place was so bright and lively! Sophia did a great job of removing my previous gels; was very gentle and didn't experience any of the harshness that sometimes comes with a gel removal. She took good care of my very thin nails and especially good care of a nail that I had cracked and that was glued together. This is a brand new salon and it's in the cutest building you have ever seen! Every detail outside and inside the building is adorable. There is a small parking lot with spots available but also free street parking just around the corner on the residential street. There are plenty of cafes in walking distance, and the whole area has a lot of character. My stylist was Tina Collman and she is incredible. She does a hair painting technique and really listened to my likes and dislikes. Her demeanor is easy going and super sweet! Everything in the place is new and clean and the feeling inside is airy, fresh, modern and bright. (Plenty of bathrooms, drinks and snacks too.) My hairstyle came out better than what I imagined (or could describe) and she was sure to dry my hair, curl it and style it with product as well. Her prices are reasonable for the service and hair treatment and I am thrilled with my new look. I paid with my card at her station which made it quick and easy. I HIGHLY recommend this place to get your hair cut, colored and styled. I will be back again and will tell my family and friends about this place. Crystal does an amazing job keeping my hair healthy and silky (I have naturally thick, curly, jet black hair) and even brought my once dead and frizzed out curls back to life! I'm also a color-fanatic and enjoy experimenting with crazy colors, and I'm glad she can explain to me the process and means to keep my hair healthy while also having fun! After about a 5 hour appointment, Crystal was able to turn my extremely grown out roots and henna-dyed ends into a beautiful blush pink sorbet color!
