I'm can count on one hand how many times I've gone through the effort to submit a review like this and would still have fingers left. I have been a customer of Rice Pot for many, many years. I usually have no complaints, but my last few interactions have left me pissed. The website where I can do online orders with a 10% discount never accepts any of my cards anymore and the register claims to be unable to manually add a 10% discount as a courtesy for their website being dysfunctional. I work in retail and know for a fact that they can manually put a discount on an order if they choose to. The issue is they are simply choosing not to. Additionally, the woman at the register (I don't know her name as it has always been over the phone) is incredibly rude and hung up on me this most recent time, which is a big reason why I'm leaving this review. I did not yell or talk disrespectful to her. I was irritated and simply said "Alright whatever" which was met with her hanging up on me. Incredibly unprofessional but, at the end of the day, what can you expect from a bratty young adult stuck working in a takeout restaurant. To management: I have chosen to take my business to Rice Wok down the highway just a little ways farther for the first time in years as their website actually works and I won't have to worry about your immature employees tampering with my food. This ranking is for takeout Chinese only - and quite frankly, not too bad for a quick fix especially compared to "Sugar Chicken" just down the road. The only issue I have is that they do not offer tofu on the menu and I guess that's not the worst thing, I can just do veggies! I walked in, no wait, placed an order for a shrimp egg roll, edamame, shrimp lo mein and shrimp pad Thai, no peanuts. In 10 minutes, I was ready to run out the door. I liked that the pad Thai used the bigger egg noodles, more like a Drunken Noodle dish I've had at other places. The shrimp were decent sized. The sauce was pretty tasty and no nuts for my allergies. I would order this again. The edamame was ok, it was soggy by the time I got home. My hubby's crab rangoon did not come with any dipping sauce so if that's an issue for you, check the order before you leave. We were pleasantly surprised that the shrimp egg roll came out as 2 pieces, it was a shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper. Crispy and simple, I liked that too. My hubby's lo mein looked good, I just picked out the shrimp in that dish :) When I'm in the mood for a quick fix, I'll be back. Next time, I'll order the pad Thai extra spicy w veggies and no cucumber so I can recreate the Drunken Noodle dish. It wasn't overly drowning in sauce either which is a plus, I want to taste the food, not a bunch of sauce. So, it's not a fine dining experience but it hits the spot! I come here a lot. It's convenient and I enjoy the food. The girls that work the front are always friendly. However, tonight the girl with the glasses working the register was incredibly rude. I've never seen her before. They ask for phone number on orders for pickup. I always just give my last four of my number. I'm not about to announce my full number for everyone. She responded "full number" like she was pissed. Who cares? I said my last four again. She responded by reading my full order back to me instead like my last four wasn't good enough. Rice Pot Express has become my "Go-To" anytime that craving for Asian food hits me. I went today with a friend. The restaurant itself was rather quiet with very few customers but the phones were ringing with people ordering delivery. I got the Orange Peel Chicken and my friend tried the General Tso's Chicken. Each menu option comes with the choice of Fried or Steamed Rice. Both plates were loaded with food as well as a generous serving of rice. It was way too much for either of us to eat in one sitting. The price is a bit high (about $14). With that being said, you get a lot more food and at a higher quality than more popular chain restaurants (Panda Express). I would highly recommend giving Rice Pot Express a chance next time you want Asian food. read more

The food is actually pretty good. It's always hot and fresh. It's much better in taste than the other similar restaurants in our area. It's 6.99 at lunch without a drink. It's 9.99 at dinner without a drink. I'm giving it 1 star because the staff, with the exception of the teens, are not friendly. They're somewhat unpleasant and rude at times. Last time I went the cashier's first words to me were 'to go' barked at me with an attitude and smirk on her face. Good location in a busy, and popular are in the small town of Corinth. The building was bright and clean. Unfortunately the Sweet and Sour Chicken was not as good. I kid you not, the sauce tasted like something from a can. I get the tangy flavor but the taste of Aluminum is not a pleasant one. The fried rice was good and the Pad Tai is quit honestly what made me give them a second chance. When I spoke with the owner or the manager that night, he said it would make it right and give me a complementary meal next time I ordered. Tonight I ordered and they were going to send the complementary me over but they wanted me to spend extra money because I did not meet the minimum for that restaurant. The person in charge that night made that decision that they basically would not order this meal for me, unless I added more food to it to meet the minimum.
