We went to Genti's for Christmas Eve dinner. The service was good. There were many servers there for a holiday evening. I had the caprese salad and lobster ravioli with a glass of Chardonnay. The lobster ravioli sauce was not my favorite but it's my fault for not reading the menu closer. The booths had high backs and provided some privacy from those sitting around us, which was nice. Third luncheon our group visited Genti's and each time was super delicious. Great ambiance, fabulous food! The marinara sauce is superbly thick and delicious. Meals include salads with a variety of dressing choices but try the house. The lady who waited on us each time is so special with such a great personality! A variety of orders of pizza, veal parmesan, grilled chicken with gluten free pasta. This place is best Italian in all of DFW in our opinion and easy to get to! Try them and see. The croissant style rolls ARE reason enough to eat here! Also love the cannelloni with Alfredo sauce, easy to drink cupcake moscato, and the cheese ravioli is also great! But oh, the rolls! I used to eat here frequently for lunch many years ago and have recently been in the area on a weekly basis in the evenings. My wife and I were in the mood for pasta and wanted to try a new place, so we looked up Italian food around us and this place popped up. Inside is a clean atmosphere. It's family friendly atmosphere for sure and definitely come as you are. Looks like there's a bar area if you want to go there and watch sports. Quick rundown: food tastes good enough, just a little inconsistent on the appearance of the dishes. Folks friendly enough. We are suckers for sampler platters. We picked the calamari, stuffed mushrooms and chicken wings. All pretty good. I thought the calamari was lightly fried, perfect for me. The wings were good and spicy, not too messy either. Stuffed mushrooms, meh....two out of three ain't bad. $12.95 for that dish probably fine. I might have tried to meatballs instead next time. My wife ordered the chicken scarpariello ($18.95). Penne pasta, Italian sausage, garlic, chicken and a homemade brown sauce was the description. Flavors were there and I thought it a good dish. This comes with salad, rolls and pasta (the penne) at that price. I ordered the veal Siciliana. I was drawn to the artichokes, mushrooms and veal. Sherry sauce and lemon butter came out real dreary color which I think took away a little of the zeal from my dish. This meal costs $16.95 but nothing else comes with it. House salad with this meal is $3.50 extra so for future reference your best bet is to find one of the meals that comes with the bread and salad as it will save a couple bucks. The side order of Italian sausage was $4.95 and came out in a bowl of tomato sauce. Nice and tender. My wife also had a Bud Lite for $4.75. The bill came out to $64 altogether and no reason not to leave our standard 20% tip. Overall, this place has the basics down. I just didn't experience anything that will make me want to rush out there again. But if I'm close by and hungry happy to have a bite here. read more

First of all, the bread is absolutely amazing. Warm, soft, with a slightly crisped crust. Dip this in their olive oil and watch out. I had the Sicilian which was spaghetti with artichokes and mushrooms in a garlic and lemon butter sauce, and it was so delciious. If I could vote 0 zero stars I would... I called many times to organize an event and every time I called they kept saying to call back. I would call back and no info. Fast forward to today (a month later) to make a final call to see if I could host my event, and the most UNPROFESSIONAL a guy answered and I was told that they had a party.... he mentioned this was planned last week. Note: I called a MONTH AGO. They then told me that my event would cause them to lose business. So I hung up and went about my day. So good! Oh my goodness, definitely coming back with my boyfriend to try more. Highly recommend you get the house dressing even if you don't get a salad. Dip your rolls in them, trust me it's good. The house salad is their recipe of a marinara turned salad dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by the grilled chicken and veggies I ordered. Some places it isn't well seasoned, but here it was seasoned beautifully. I really shouldn't have been surprised since Italian's know how to make good food. My boss and his wife ordered the white sauce pizza, and I am sad I didn't try a slice, but I was so full on the chicken and veggies that I was thankful I wore stretchy pants. He isn't the biggest fan of white sauce pizza and he really liked this one. Boss man took us here for a work lunch based on his wife's suggestion, and I would just like to compliment his wife on good taste. The staff was nice, restaurant was clean, and food delicious. The restaurant has many booths and tables that can accommodate large parties which gives me that big Italian family dinner feel. I had: Capellini Di Mondi From 17.95 Canadian bacon, sautéed onions, mushrooms w/ choice of alfredo, pink or red sauce - I had the alfredo sauce. It was very tasty. It needed salt, but I like more salt. The alfredo sauce didn't break or separate. There was probably too much sauce but who faults an Italian restaurant for too much sauce. My wife and I have been eating at, and ordering from, Genti's for a long time. As far back as the original location. We've never had a negative experience, until today. We didn't feel like cooking, and thought we'd order a pizza. So, we called our go to place. Our order was a pizza, salad, and calamari. The person who took the order said we'd have it in about 45 minutes. When we hadn't received our dinner at the hour mark, I called. The staff person who I spoke to, assured me she'd call me as soon as she spoke to the driver. I thought ok, I gave her my number and waited for a call. 30 more minutes went by, and no call. So I called again. This time the staff person that answered the phone said I had been sent a text, which I had not. She then handed me off to the original person who told me repeatedly she sent me a picture of my food, and the driver had knocked on my door, and rang the doorbell before leaving the food on our door step. I thought maybe I was wrong so I looked again, walking to the end of our driveway. No food anywhere, and the lady is still steadily yelling at me saying the food is at my house. Clearly, the driver dropped it off at the wrong house ! Just own it already ! After too much drama, and 3 phone calls, the order got cancelled. I think we'll be in search of a new pizza and pasta place for a while. Really disappointed. That was Sunday. I wrote that review on Monday 9/5. Fast forward now to today 9/6. My wife checked her statement to see if Genti's had indeed refunded her card. Quite the opposite I'm afraid. They had charged us after all. She called to get this resolved and had a back and forth with whoever she was talking to .... Why are we having this discussion still ?!?!?! Apparently her word wasn't good enough. She had to send them pictures of the front of our house for some kind of comparison I guess..... Come on Genti's !!!! Your guy went to the wrong house ! We shouldn't need to call, and we certainly shouldn't need to provide you with photographic evidence of where we live !!! Due to needing to be home right now while we are quarantined I ordered from Genti's to go. I am so happy that we did. While we've enjoyed this establishment before we were wondering what their food would be like delivered. I was so pleasantly surprised It was piping hot! Ordered Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Rigatoni and mozzarella sticks for delivery. Instead of Shrimp Fra Diavolo I got what appeared to be chicken Alfredo but was ok because I usually like the dish. We ended up throwing away both dishes after a few bites. Both dishes lacked flavor and I'm not sure what spices were used but I found both very unappealing. Rigatoni was also overcooked. Mozzarella sticks were just ok. I can't ever remember throwing away an Italian dish in my life but these were very unappetizing. read more
