A few things we pretty much order every time: the saltimbocca is pure comfort, braised short rib is rich and fall-apart tender, and the Gorgonzola pasta is creamy, bold, and incredibly satisfying - definitely opt to add both the pancetta and mushrooms. The aioli with the bread is dangerously addictive; we always end up asking for more bread just to keep dipping. If you're trying to decide what to order, those dishes have never missed for us. We ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms as an appetizer and the Pasta Carbonara with GF pasta and chicken as the entree. Our waiter, Zach, was well informed and confirmed any concerns with the kitchen. The stuffed mushrooms had a depth of flavor and cheese deliousness that made them very craveable. The fettuccine in the Carbonara was cooked perfectly. Not mushy and not too al dente. The sauce coated the noodles nicely and the pancetta and bacon cut through the richness of the sauce nicely. We also had the Angel Hair Pasta with Artichokes (not the GF pasta) with shrimp that was also amazing with the saltiness of the black olives and capers pairing nicely with the shrimp. First time eating here for a staff retreat, definitely won't be my last! Started off with delicious cocktails. Their margarita was out of this world. Perfectly balanced sweetness with tartness. I also tried the strawberry mango margarita; didn't taste very different than the original margarita but was still very tasty. Appetizers were amazing. The fried ravioli had the perfect crunch and seasoning on the outside. The ratio of filling to pasta was just right; I normally don't care for ravioli but would definitely get this again. Fried calamari was also tasty. Breading was excellent. Wasn't chewy. Very good! We also got a spinach and artichoke dip but we were so hungry we didn't get a picture; another fantastic appetizer! I split the short ribs with a friend who got the lobster ravioli (did a little trade off which I would highly suggest so you can try more things!). Both were phenomenal!! The short ribs were so tender and flavorful. The accompanying sauce was the perfect compliment. Lobster ravioli was DIVINE. Perfectly filled and a lemony cream sauce on top finished it just right. I can count on one hand (minus a couple of fingers) how many restaurants I have gone to, sat down with every intention of eating a meal, but left before doing so. Don Camillo has now joined the ranks of those rare and terrible places. We arrived around 2pm in order to avoid any crowds. And mission accomplished! There were very few patrons there. Unfortunately, our success was to be short lived. Our server was 1 of about 5, and didn't appear to have any other tables besides ours. He took our drink orders then disappeared for an inordinate amount of time. When he returned he had forgotten the drink for one of my sons. At this point, my husband and I ordered cocktails, along with the missing drink. After being gone for another inexplicably long stretch he returned once again, still without my son's drink. Despite the bad feeling we were starting to get, we placed an order for an appetizer anyhow (plus the missing drink). Not surprisingly, another long wait ensued. When the server came back with our calamari he had forgotten the drink AGAIN. He then rushed off without asking for our entree orders. So we waited some more, watching the minutes tick by...Finally, we made up our minds that it was time cut our losses and go elsewhere. All the while, a man who looked to be a member of management was milling around the restaurant. He passed by our table several times but didn't speak to us. As a matter of fact, I never saw him speak to anyone. But, when our server was nowhere to be seen we had to ask him for our check. There is a saying that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. It's absolutely true! We won't be back. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the calamari had a good flavor (not including the strange dipping sauces) as did our cocktails. read more

I have eaten at Don Camillo's many times over the years. The food has always been good and the service outstanding. I ate lunch there today with three friends. The food was delicious, as always, and the service was wonderful. My only complaint is that during our lunch the owner proceeded to reprimand one of the servers with customers, including us, within listening and viewing distance. This made me very uncomfortable. I don't know if he heard us comment about that but, afterward he kept slowly walking by our table and looking at us, making us uncomfortable. One of my friends planned to ask him about this if he came by again but, instead we decided t0 leave earlier than planned. The waitress that he reprimanded was our server. I don't know what the reprimand was for but she was very cheerful and a wonderful server. She did not deserve to be reprimanded in front of customers. read more

What is it about Italian restaurants that make dining so romantic? For this location , it might be the fountains at the entrance or the beautiful decor. Our visit was on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy so our server was exceptionally attentive. I had to try the blueberry lavender frozen lemonade. Best frozen adult drink since the he margarita! I could have easily had 3 or more of these but it was early afternoon. The salmon with roasted veggies is the meal that will make me a repeat customer. My weakness? Anything pasta. For appetizer, we got the Calamari. It wasn't chewy so that was wonderful! 8/10. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, was.. edible. Food is fine, but the service is incredibly slow, especially if you are picking up. If you are told food will be ready in 25 minutes, expect it to ACTUALLY be ready within an hour to an hour and 45 minutes. Every time we have picked up from this restaurant we need to wait a minimum of 10 minutes just to be greeted by the host, only to be told that our food is not ready. We usually have to wait at the restaurant after getting there approximately 10-15 min after the time we are told it'll be ready (we do this on purpose since we don't want to wait around) for at least 15 to 20 minutes. I've stood there waiting for a maximum of 40 minutes. The restaurant is so understaffed. read more

After recovering from back surgery I was finally able to go out to eat. We decided to come here and try things out. First off we were greeted immediately when coming and and was seated right away. The interior was nice classy and pleasant. Our server I believe was Charlie and he took our drink order first and gave us a history on the place since hubby asked. We ordered the Chilean sea bass, steak pasta, red snapper, pumpkin soup and fettuccine Alfredo (kids meal). Chilean sea bass: cooked beautifully where it basically melts in your mouth with a hint of tang from the capers. Good sized portion. Steak pasta: nice creaminess with peas and capers. I don't know why it's always fun to eat bow tie pasta and it holds the sauce nicely. Pumpkin soup: super thick rich and creamy. You get hints of cheese and a kick of spice. Red snapper: nice flaky and light. Cooked properly and the creamy sauce with artichoke and orzo was delicious. Fettuccine Alfredo: it is your typical Alfredo which is one of my daughters favorite type of pasta to eat. Overall the experience was nice and pleasant. Our server was very awesome and had made the experience top level. The whole staff friendly and always made sure we were satisfied with our experience. Ok I am trying to be objective here. First off the food is good. We ordered stuff mushrooms as an appetizer and chicken saltimbocca and the Gorgonzola cheese pasta. The food was very flavorful and quite good. Even the bread is fresh and good. This is where this train leaves the tracks So this place is really REALLY cheap on portions for what they charge. My pasta dish looks like it's a lot but it one layer of pasta in a very shallow bow that makes it appear as if it's a larger serving size. I mean It's literally a kid's portion and it was $17.50. Plus when they bring bread we got two small pieces of bread. The wine which was $12 a glass was barely 1/4 of a glass. It's just not worth it. It's good sure but they are clearly cheap. And for the prices it's just not worth what they ask. I mean if you aren't that hungry it's great I guess. But ask any Italian from the old country....they don't do tiny portions. It is just waaaay overpriced. We will not go back. And that's sad because the food is really good. But I seriously left hungry and I'm on Ozempic. Our server was a young kid who was very friendly and knowledgeable but wasn't very attentive. It was worth a try but I cannot recommend for those that are hungry. read more

Arrived on a Friday evening and were sat immediately outside. Patio seating is very comfortable on a nice night. It took a little while for the waitress to come by, but we didn't think much of it. We went ahead and placed our drink and food orders all at once. The service unfortunately was just not up to speed. We couldn't tell if the waitress had a lot of indoor tables and we were her only outdoor one, but other tables did not seem to be having the same issues - even with a couple arriving after we did, ordering a baked pasta dish, and receiving it all before we had our soup and salad. We ordered three chicken/pasta entrées with accompanying Caesar Salad and a seasonal pumpkin soup. I've attached a photo of the salad - honestly it wasn't even a handful lettuce. Disappointing even with only a $3 add-on. The pumpkin soup was flavorful but I had asked for additional bread and some red pepper flakes which unfortunately did not come by the time I finished my soup. It was that quandary of waiting for those items but then having my soup get cold. The best entrée was probably my kid's chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. The pasta was very good and most likely made in-house. Everything else was average but I think our mindset was already jaded with the below average service.
