I love this place! The service is very friendly, the prices are good, everything that I have ordered here has been hot, fresh and delicious.

I like Rice Time for the most part. I used to work nearby, so this was a popular lunch spot. The "Hot Chicken" is really good if you like spicy food. The prices are good, particularly for lunch. The downside is that the restaurant is really ugly and uncomfortable (small tables, uncomfortable chairs), they are miserly about drink refills, and the owner & staff are not particularly friendly. Pretty authentic Asian cuisine. I was bummed that the fried rice did not come with egg (because always extra egg in my fried rice!) but it honestly did not take away from the flavor. We also got the General Tao Shrimp was DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy coated shrimp with a sweet and very mild spicy flavor. I challenge you to find a friendlier staff than the kind man that typically works the register and the adorable woman that serves the plates. I absolutely love this place. Nothing on the menu has ever been anything less than among the best I've tasted for that particular dish. I was really excited about this place when I read about it on Yelp. I was mostly excited because they have ramen. I was disappointed but not completely. The restaurant is typical of any Asian fusion restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered the one ramen on the menu. I liked the spicy broth and the veggies and meat but the noodles.... WAY over cooked and were so soft and mushy. Honestly, they tasted like instant noodles that you buy in the store... I'm pretty sure they are. I will try this place again for the Korean food but don't get the ramen if you've ever lived in Japan or are Japanese. read more

I have had better asian food. I had the hot chicken and small kimchi. It would best to avoid the kimchi. Tasted like it was made in a hurry with red chili paste and cabbage. The hot chicken was greasy and tasted OK. Nothing extra-ordinary. read more

Good value for lunch special, but very slow for take out and restaurant was extremely hot. (Yes it's 82 degrees out but their air conditioning can't seem to keep up -- made me regret coming here.). I just went here for the first time today and I am impressed, I was thinking this would be just a "American" style Chinese restaurant but I discovered they serve Korean Bi Bim Bop which was delicious! They also make their own Kimchee which is extremely hard to find around here. Nothing compares to the homemade vs. store bought. The food was very good and the portion size was more than I expected. Delicious food and friendly staff. We walked in and the place was busy, which is usually a good sign. The woman who took our order was polite. We ordered three $6.50 lunch specials-- the teriyaki chicken, General Tao chicken, and orange chicken. We also helped ourselves to the complementary vegetable soup, kimchi, and salad that is available to dine in guests. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. The soup had a rustic feel and taste-- not a lot of seasoning, but it allowed the stock, cabbages, carrots, and other veggies to shine. It tasted earthy and simple. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious-- a good balance of tangy and umami flavor. The kimchi was spicy and good according to my husband. I'm not a big fan of kimchi so I can't judge it. Our food arrived promptly. The orange chicken and General Tao chicken tasted moist and fresh inside, and perfectly pleasantly crunchy outside. The sauces looked and tasted great-- no artificial fake orange look or taste. The teriyaki chicken was cooked well and was moist and fresh tasting. The teriyaki sauce was a good balance of salty and sweet. The rice that came with our dishes was sticky, fresh, and wonderful. Most authentic oriental grill in the area. Orange and General Tao chicken are fire!! Place is always packed because most people know it is the spot to go for solid food. My coworkers and I have lunch here once every couple of weeks. The food is tasty and hot when delivered. There are a lot of options to choose from as well. Some suggestions I would make to the business would be to come up with a few healthier options, maybe two or three small plates as well. The portions are huge and I can never eat it all. I also don't like taking it home because their containers are Styrofoam, which a lot of people don't mind, but I really don't like it, and try to avoid when I can. read more

The poor reviews come from that timeframe when the food and service were pretty bad. J and his wife use fresh ingredients with carefully crafted recipes handed down from their family. Today, for the first time (5/10) I dined at the Rice Time in Wilsonville. Excellent food! Delicious food! I had the lunch special of Terriyaki over brown rice (no additional charge!) and not all Oriental restaurants serve brown rice or if due for a fee. Delicious chicken (and a good amount) plus salad (I personally recommend the House Salad Dressing) and an extremely delicious cabbage soup (with beef!) all for one fair price. The owner/couple were very nice, appreciative and communicated very well. Such a joy to be welcomed with a smile on the face! Rice Time is my new favorite restaurant in Wilsonville!!! P.S. I did not receive any freebies to write this review and do not know the owners or any employees. With a name like Rice Time, how could it be bad? The steamed rice was far better than your Panda Express fare: pillowy, sticky, flavorful and not a single dry or undercooked grain. I could write love songs to this rice. I had the orange chicken (crunchy, sweet, no red pepper, and surprisingly light given that it's deep fried and covered in syrup) and the "hot chicken" (VERY hot, thin strips of sauced chicken and onions) and had so much food i couldn't finish it all. There was a cauldron of "free soup" which turned out to be scalding broth with cabbage. Whatever, it's FREE. There's also a salad bar available with loads of unhealthy sauces to pile on. If you're traveling through Wilsonville (I mean really, who lives there) and want Chinese food under ten dollars a plate, you probably can't do better than Rice Time. read more
