Favorite Thai restaurant. We only go here. The Pad Thai and curry dishes are so delicious!

I ordered last night and due to some snafu it coded at "pick up" vs. "delivery." They were closing and we couldn't get there in time. They sent a guy out and delivered it. I tried to tip extra and he refused (twice!) Kudos to the delivery person and this restaurant! I'm sold and definitely making this a "go to" place!!! read more

Absolutely horrible. First time, did a test run. Satay looked like old meat and tasted wretched. And with the teaspoon of peanut sauce they provided couldn't drown out the taste, because the peanut sauce was no bueno. I would not recommend this place to my enemy. I have had some decent Thai food around the Portland Metro, this place is not one of those places. Oh, and the fake pics do not match the look of the food, AI maybe? Ordered two items to go, so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere. As someone who grew up eating Vietnamese food, I was really disappointed. The noodles tasted and looked old, the veggies weren't fresh, and the rice plate was mostly rice with barely any meat--nothing like the menu photo. No egg or cucumber as promised, which made it feel incomplete. The meat itself was decent, but overall, this felt like a waste of $30+. Unfortunately, I won't be back, which is disappointing because I was hoping to find a go-to local spot since I don't like to cook. Huge let down on so many levels. Pass on this. read more

For many years, we have been going to this place for Friday movie nights. We have been to Pacific Breeze for a long time. But for the last 3 weeks, I have been to this place 3 times. The dishes are great with great flavors for curry and pho. The fried tofu is fresh. I will be back! read more

We've been visiting Pacific Breeze off and on for many years. They were always super consistent with very fresh ingredients, but the last 4 times we've tried them have been disappointing. The visits were over about an 18 month period, and only 1 of the 4 was worth it. The pineapple fried rice was always such a standout dish here, but it has had tired veg and pineapple during our recent trips. Nearly no cashews, lacking in flavor. The rice seemed to be coated in old cooking oil. etc. I'm sad to say we're done with Pac Breeze. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could. read more

My expectations when dining on the West Side are tempered. That said, the Pad See Ew was very good. I do wish they would chop and mix-in the bean sprouts rather than leave as a small pile on the side. Just go for it, the Suburbanites won't mind. Their version of Mango sticky rice was a pleasant ending to the entree. You get an ample portion for a fair price. The interior overall is a bit drab, especially when you enter from the side. Service was very stoic, no extra pleasantries. It's a bit cumbersome to find and parking can be tight. 3.5 Stars. read more

Really awesome selection of Thai and Vietnamese food! The service and waitress was super nice. I wanted to order so many things because everything sounded good! I tried the fried egg rolls, fresh spring rolls, and pad see ew. The only suggestion is to make the pad see ew slightly less acidic/sour. It was super saucy which I liked but wish it was more on the traditional salty and slightly sweet soy taste. I would definitely come back to try other dishes! read more

It's so sad how downhill it's gone here. I've finally given up ordering from pacific breeze after all these years. I even moved to Sherwood and still ordered from Tigard. The quality has gone down considerably. It always has an off flavor to me. It was truly one of my favorites so really sad to update this review this way. read more

This was my first time trying this place and I had high hopes based on the good reviews. I ordered the salad rolls, crab puffs, and pad Thai. The salad rolls were great, but the crab puffs were so heavily oiled they only tasted like oil, additionally as I got to the bottom of the container there was a hair in it (pictured). So gross! I'd probably skip a repeat order based on that alone, and couldn't finish it as it was. read more

This is one of our go tos for take out. My favorite is the jungle noodles. My only issue is that the amount of vegetables it comes with has sort of dwindled over time. Now you're lucky to get four pieces of broccoli. Regardless it's delicious and vegetables are often empty vitamins anyway. Their viet food is good. I don't think I have a discerning enough palate to say the pho is better or worse than anyone else's. Occasionally there are inconsistencies with the Thai dishes but I have a feeling the Vietnamese is their lead foot. Our favorite though is the veggie egg rolls. Marvelous crispy outside with lots of fun vegetables inside. Not just full of cabbage like literally everywhere else. We don't share these with each other. Service is always quick and polite. Well, costumer service was very good the server girl was attentive and friendly but the place was empty with a lot of tables dirty. I ordered Pho it was ok but needs more flavor and noodles. Order spring rolls they were a little burn tasting a lot as ground pork or something that I really didn't like it at all :( spring rolls are my favorite appetizer at Thai food restaurants and this ones tasted bad in my opinion. This used to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Portland area. The food was always delicious and hit the spot. Since the pandemic, things have gone downhill drastically. All there prices went up considerably. No menus except for on the phone. I like menus. They will provide an old menu if requested, but with a price that is much lower than now. The last time I was there I did dine in. It was practically self serve with hardly any service. The hostess was just busy with take out orders and was ignoring the 2-3 tables of patrons that actually stopped in. They definitely needed one staff member for take out and one for restaurant help. The restaurant was failing without the help. We had to ask for everything from plates, napkins, water, silverware, condiments, the check, you get the point. Nothing was provided without asking for it. I was shocked. It didn't even feel like a restaurant. I won't be going back until things improve. read more

Downgrading my review here. Came here for lunch and I got the pad thai, which I still really enjoyed (love the sauciness of it). But my wife got the drunken noodle and didn't even want to finish it. She thought it tasted like sugar and soy sauce, with no complexity or depth, no spice (even though we asked for medium), and the noodles were tough. Service was fast. Bathrooms were dirty. I don't think we'll come back again. read more

The serving sizes were large. We got two large phos, and two orders of egg rolls, and a bubble tea. The tea was really good. The egg rolls were big and the kids fought over them. Their mom won that fight though. Overall, a great place for some takeout. The food was very thoughtfully wrapped. We'll be back. read more

Once again I go with my standards to measure Thai places. Pad Thai and Panang curry. Pad Thai was very good. More flavor than some places. Nice portion. Panang curry was also very good. Just spicy enough to give me the sniffles but not so bad I was crying. This place is tucked in and not the easiest to get to as it's just off the 99W-Durham intersection but it's worth the effort. I really feel bad writing a negative review, but we were very disappointed in the food here. Wonderful service, food was ready fast, and nice friendly staff - but bland greasy food. We got chicken Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and the crab puffs. Sadly, despite the number of good reviews, the pad thai was one of the worst I've ever had. Maybe I caught them on a bad night? It lacked any flavor, was extremely greasy, had only a couple of pieces of chicken and no crushed nuts. I didn't see any vegetables. I personally did not like the bean sprouts on the side - why not mix them in? It was just oily flavorless noodles stuck in clumps. I kinda wonder if they skipped the sauce or something. The fried rice was ok, but also very greasy. It also lacked flavor. The crab puffs were good. However once again, not a lot of flavor. They were not overly greasy, though, and the cream cheese & crab filling was generous. I wanted to like this place but I don't think it's worth a second trip. read more

Nothing super special about the food here, it's everything I expect from Thai and Vietnamese food. It's close to where I work and is my go-to place for a good bowl of Pho or Pad Thai. Fairly priced too, and fast service. Would recommend! read more

Had lunch at Pacific Breeze a number of times and it is a solid 3 stars. More stars might be added if the remodel that has been going on FOREVER was finally finished. There isn't much to the place as it is and the plywood floors don't help. Having said that, the wait staff are very nice and have apologized for the disruption every time we've visited for lunch. All the usual Thai dishes are on the menu as well as the daily lunch specials, which really are a good deal. Soup, rice, entrée, all for under $10. I've had the basil chicken, stir fries, one of the curries, etc. Solid good flavors; portions are generous and I always end up taking a "doggie bag" home. The only problem with the "Asian fusion" thing is that rarely are all the dishes done well. Of course, that's just me. I'll keep going to Pacific Breeze when I'm on that side of town but I'd sure like to see them get that remodel finished up. read more

Don't be deterred when you step in the door; they have been doing construction on the floor in the main room for a few months now. The food is spectacular though! I am often wary of places that serve two distinct cultures' cuisines but this place is the real deal... You could say "Pacific Breeze is the bee's knees!" ;) I snapped my pho earlier because it was scalding hot when I received it, but didn't have time to capture my boyfriend's yellow curry before he devoured it. They have a humongous selection and everything is scrumptious. I'm a pho addict so I got the special where you pick your own meats: brisket, well done steak, and meatballs. We also have the Moon something or other appetizers today (deep fried chicken or shrimp in a moon shaped pastry). Pretty tasty. The size of their Vietnamese iced coffee makes me very happy as well. Lots of places serve them in small glasses (like a skinny Collins glass) but this was about 16 awesome ounces in a regular glass. The taro boba is excellent as well, but I needed the caffeine today. Do be careful of the hours though; both Yelp and Google have incorrect hours of operation listed. read more

Had cautiously high hopes after reading the reviews on yelp for this Tigard Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. I was not feeling well, and had a hankering for pho. The drive to Portland seemed too far. Decided to give Pacific Breeze a chance. My pho had bland broth, way too many noodles, the chicken was thankfully not fatty(there's a plus), and the sides were scarce. There were a few bean sprouts, some jalapeños, and green onions, and that was it, no basil leaves:(. My husband chose the cashew chicken, being that it had multiple good reviews on yelp. He thought it was bland, and very mediocre as well. Unfortunately, it was Sunday, so Mai Asia in Tualatin was not open, but next time I will make the drive to my favorites Jade or Mekong in Sellwood, or wait until its not a Sunday for Mai Asia, which is simple, but quite tasty. No more Pacific Breeze for me. read more
