My wife and I need a new car so I decided to visit a few local dealerships by my work just to browse and dream. At one of the dealerships I saw a used Ford Bronco Sport that I really liked. Or would have just been admiration but one of the salespeople hooked me in with his spiel and I gave him my text number to keep in touch. After lunch a few days later, I stopped in again because I really like it. I texted him to meet me and talk about the vehicle. He told me the price was $22,000 and I thought that was a good deal because it was a 2024 with about 40,000 miles on it. I test drove and thought it would be a good replacement for the Audi. He asked me to stick around while he worked up an offer sheet. He came back with a quote of $31,000. He then told me that he had the wrong price originally and that the actual price was $26,000. With all of the add ons and tax it would be $31,000. He also said that they could only give us $2,500 as trade on the Audi. I told him no thanks and left. But, as these guys often are, he was persistent and kept contacting me trying to close the sale. He called me and asked what it would take to make it happen. I told him that if the total price of the vehicle "out the door" as they say was $24,000 even and the trade-in doubled to $5,000 I would do it. He texted me back and said that he discussed it with his manager and that they would do it and that it was reasonable (especially after quoting the wrong price to begin with!). I then had the task of trying to convince the wife that we should buy it. So I spent a whole day researching that model. I looked at reliability and gas efficiency and warranties and everything else in between. I finally got her on board and we drove there when I left work. Off we went, forty-five minutes from the house to the dealership. I won't lie, I was excited. I've been admiring the new Ford Broncos for a long time and really wanted this one. The salesperson sat us down and then presented a new offer sheet....it was NOT what was promised. They changed it to $26,000 (and some change) and they changed the trade-in value to $4,000. I told him that wasn't the offer and that I didn't appreciate them changing the deal. Then he pulled the old "let me talk to my manager" ruse. He comes back, with his manager, the sheet is marked up in red but nothing has changed! The manager starts to explain how the car was worth so much more and that they couldn't possibly sell it for what they originally offered. I cut him off. "If it's not the deal that was offered then we don't want it." He literally stormed off with the offer sheet. The wife and I walked out as the salesperson tried to rationalize his actions. We didn't want to hear anything he had to say. I'm sure he thought that after all of the wrangling he was entitled to our time but he was incorrect in that assumption. We owed him nothing. As we were driving away from the lot he had the audacity to call me to plead his case further! He tried to convince us that we should go ahead with the deal since they "tried" to make it work. I told him that I was lied to and he actually said, "well I didn't lie  NECESSARILY..." Seriously bro? I don't want to sound like an old crank but it used to be when someone made a deal with you they honored it. These people had no intention of keeping their promise. They just wanted to try to bluff us into coming in and dared us to call them on it. We did. We won't be back and I hope this is a cautionary tale to others who are considering doing business at this dealership. Well, it's pretty much sucks when you pick up your car and it immediately breaks down after you've had it for nine days and you replaced the water pump when I told you that the oil light and the battery light were coming on. There is no way you took it for a test drive because we didn't drive it for more than 3 miles when it absolutely stopped running. What I can tell you is we were considering buying not one but two new cars from Rich Ford. I've got to seriously reconsider my options with the repair that was not a repair on our Ford car and I have to say I've never had problems with FORD so how can you mess this up Rich FORD Dealership ABQ. And furthermore, let me just add you said you were gonna call every day but you had the vehicle for nine days and we never heard from you until this Tuesday. Which was literally seven days later. I took my F250 in for an oil change. Upon doing so the technician stated I had a coolant leak. After technician stated he did a primary water pump diagnostic which was $154.95 I was quoted $3500 for that and my transfer case seal to be replaced. I wanted a second opinion took my truck elsewhere and the primary pump wasn't the issue the upper radiator hose needed to be replaced. Had my transfer case seal replaced and saved my self $2900. I Do NOT recommend taking your vehicle here to be serviced. read more

Let me tell you about my experience with Rich Ford. On February 28, 2025, I bought a truck from Rich Ford with a service contract for maintenance and repairs. However, when I took my truck in for servicing in June 2025, as I was leaving a tire came off while I was driving on Wyoming blvd. (Do You know busy this street is ?? this could have been a Complete disaster ). They towed my truck, promised to repair it within five days, and fix some dings on my door. But it took 10 days, and they didn't fix the dings. My truck never ran the same, and I've had to buy new tires. (They didn't replace the tire - so it never drove right - even though the tires were "new" when I bought the truck )I'm still paying for a maintenance package I'll never use.how can I trust that they know what they are doing or it won't happen again? Im not putting my family or anyone else in danger . I'm disappointed in the customer them. I've been in the office 3 times over the past 3 months and no one has even tried to make this right . Service here is terrible. They're overpriced, always "busy" and always push package deals and prices on you. I've brought my vehicle here 4 times. That's 4 times too many, they said they couldn't patch my tire I took it to Chalmers Ford and they got it done. I brought my car for basic service Oil, filters, and tire rotations. It took them a grand total of 8 hours to do that. When I took it to Chalmers, they were under staffed and still got the car done in under 2 hours. I came today to get my tire changed due to a blowout, I got here at 9am and it's currently 3:30pm, STILL no car. You're telling me it takes 6 hours to replace one tire? When your local tire shop takes 15 minutes tops. Not to mention they coincidentally never have that particular part in hand. They don't follow service plans and try to make you purchase unnecessary repairs. If I could rate 0 I would. Take your business to Chalmers Ford, yeah it's a long drive but atleast you won't be taken advantage of. read more

I took my 2024 Ranger Raptor in for a scheduled appointment that was scheduled 2 weeks in advance and was asked if I would be waiting for the oil change to be completed which I said I would be waiting which is what took the 2 week advance appointment to be made. When I arrived 25 minuted before my scheduled appointment I was informed it would be 2 and 1/2m hours to complete. Also I was told there was no waiting room because the service reps area was being remodeled so I waited outside for over 2 hours and twenty minutes for my vehicle. I have purchased 2 brand new vehicles from this dealer in the past. However this one I bought from Chalmers because the sales rep at Rich Ford had no idea when any Ranger Raptors would be coming into their dealership. I bought mine at Chalmers the same day I went to look at their inventory. I will NEVER go back to Rich Ford service rep was terrible. sales reps were terrible they knew nothing of the features of the Ranger Raptor. I would recommend going to any other dealership than Rich Ford and save yourself a lot of aggravation. read more

I will never own another ford f150 after owning two. I feel foolish for buying the second one even after 20 years, I found Rich Ford to have the same extraordinarily poor service department. Unable to duplicate problems. No parts on hand. No rental free of charge in spite of major issues over and over until they reset my computers insisting nothing was wrong even though the problem was solved after visiting 3, thats correct 3 ford dealers. They simply do not get paid enough for warranty work apparently to have any interest in resolving a problem. My $85,000 truck left me stranded multiple times in Alaska. Now I am happy. Yes I traded it for a New Tundra yesterday. While the f150 still has 4000 miles left on the warranty and I took a bath on the trade in, I pity the new owner getting ford to fix anything without leaving it for up to a week at a time. ps....this is but a small comment of the numerous issues and month of downtime over less than three years of ownership. happy happy happy read more

I was happy with my Sales person and financing, very happy. My issue is the truck was for sale with multiple open recalls and a broken tonneau cover. The certified inspection MISSED the ENTIRE Hybrid inspection for my Hybrid F150. When I asked about it I was told it's not a problem they were sure it was inspected, Red flag. Then, after I purchased the truck I had to leave it over a week to have the recalls and cover fixed. Who puts a vehicle for sale, after certified inspection, when the vehicle has recalls that specifically state it can cause a crash? Now, I expect a tech to actually review their work but, I should have expected this when the first tech didn't even do the Hybrid inspection, when I got the truck back it had a issue warning every time I started it on the massive center screen so I know the tech saw it. The entire Pro Power system was now offline. So I got my truck back but they caused another issue. After doing my own inspection I found multiple connections that were unplugged and never inspected. I'm sure the dealership is great but the techs clearly don't have a clue as to what they need to do or how to inspect their own work. Not one tech but two missed a major inspection piece and gave a customer a vehicle that clearly should have never been cleared. I love Ford but this dealership needs to get some kind of service supervisor who checks the work of these people as it's clearly not up to the standards of professionalism. First i want to state how late this review is, i been so busy and been trying to make the time to leave a detailed review about my experience here. I walked in with money to put down, idea of what i want, but the anxiety of worrying what my trade in value will be on my car that has engine light and i still owed money on. It was scary, it was worrying, and i was a mess. A lot of changes in just a few months and i needed something i can afford and rely on. I did a pre approval, then got excited, got a call from Sabrina one of the sales people. She made the appointment a week later. Even though i was going to be there in a week, she called to see how i was doing, make sure to have the right idea of what i was looking for, kept me updated on more availability, etc. Above and Beyond. The day came, she was so sweet, kind, respectful and made the whole experience so much more comfortable and less stressful. Then after we came to an agreement with my trade in and down payment. shortly after agreeing, i got the chance to meet Tori she was the Financial Manager who helped me even more. I been supporting my family so getting approved by a bank was scary and even to make sure i got low interest rate. She did argue on my behalf for 6% on my truck!! Helped me and guided me through what to get for it, the whole process, and even made sure to check in since the day i completed the signatures with my wife and I. Overall, i must say i had the best experience and respect from this place. I have not been stressing about car problems, car payment is low and i can afford with no stress. I've been to this dealership several times since I purchased a used Mustang EV from them in 2022. For most of the appointments I showed up for, I was confirmed via text message or email. However, when I arrived I was told the maintenance I was scheduled for would not be a possibility due to an unavailable EV tech, or a lack of parts, or what seemed like just high volume when I arrived at the service department. Seems like there might be an issue with their scheduling system, or they had me confused with the previous owner of the vehicle. The appointments were scheduled weeks in advance as the dealership is over a 2 hour drive for me. One exception was Maria in the service department, who helped me out when I was getting a recall done. She prioritized the vehicle after I showed up a THIRD time for a recall the dealership didn't have parts, or a technician for, the first 2 times. She was actually great to work with after an initial rocky start. This is my second Mustang. The first also had some issues, but ran well for the 4 or so years I drove it. My biggest takeaway is that Fords, and their dealerships in particular, aren't set up for serious, busy people who don't have time to be taking their cars to the dealership a lot. This is the first negative review I've ever had to post online. I am a longtime Ford customer and for Sales, Rich Ford was top notch. I've purchased and leased from here and they were phenomenal. However, if you ever want to rely on them for service afterwards I would recommend staying far away. I am leasing a 2023 Bronco for them and a "Check Engine" light went off. When I called to schedule a service, I was given a date nearly a month out. I tried to point out that this was a leased vehicle from their dealership under warranty with a Check Engine light and that made no difference to them. They recommended that I try to walk-in to drop it off, so 30 minutes later I showed up as a walk in and they completely refused to look at or let me drop off the vehicle, but also noted it shouldn't be driven, and recommended I schedule an appointment (which would be done in a month). I asked to speak to a manager or customer service to try to work this out, and the only thing they would do for me is give me a national Ford Customer Relations number. I've never encountered customer service this poor so please keep this In mind before doing business with Rich Ford. I would strongly recommend finding a better dealership in town, but unfortunately they have lost my business moving forward. They will sell you anything, but on the back end make no effort to help if your leased vehicle actually requires service. read more

Rich Ford is a remarkably and uniquely terrible dealership! We will NEVER do business with them again! And Rich Ford, if you decide to respond to this post, I will tell you pre-emptively "No, we do not wish to talk to you, since you obviously don't care about your customers or their time." We've had many run-ins with Rich Ford, but the latest is likely the most illustrative. We bought a used car from Rich Ford in January of 2023. We bought it with cash, no financing required (technical, we wrote a check), and it still took us half a day before we could get out of there as they tried to nickel and dime us for everything imaginable under the sun. Let me repeat: we paid for the car in cash, and it still took us four hours to get out of there. At the time of the sale, they also failed to disclose that the car had been in their shop 3 times in the preceding 3 months, for completely unconnected maintenance issues. Over the next 10 months that we owned the car, it spent approximately 4 of those months at the Rich Ford service department. The issues included check engine lights brough on by random sensor failures, a broken turbo-charger, significant oil leaks, and a transmission that failed suddenly and catastrophically in rush hour traffic. Thankfully we bought the extra warranty period, but every time we brought the car to the service department, we were greeted with the familiar phrase, "since this is a ______ problem, it will be a couple weeks before we can look at it." Of course _______ applied to every single problem that required maintenance. The car had a LOT of issues, and each trip took multiple weeks to fix. Since this crappy car was so unreliable, we decided to sell it back to Rich Ford (selling it to anybody else seemed immoral). The sale went smoothly (agree on terms, sign the paperwork, etc.), until it was time for them to pay us. The simple act of writing a check took them 1.5 hours. And when we started inquiring as to why it was taking so long, their sales manager (James) was rude and indignant that we were being impatient. All I know is that CarMax has figured this out and pays you really quickly when we sell them our cars (we've sold 4 cars to them). Bottom Line: If you are looking to buy a car, go somewhere else. If you are looking to have a car serviced, go somewhere else. If you are looking to sell a car, go someplace else. Rich Ford may be my own personal version of Hell! read more

Sales experience was great. No bad comments for our salesperson or for the manager who helped make the sale at what we were willing to pay. However, I have great concern of the quality of their blue certified process for used vehicles. Just within 2 weeks of purchase the one vehicle we bought needed a new battery, which we replaced. However, 2 weeks after that the air conditioning started going out. It was still under the 30 day warranty, but they did not fix the air conditioning. We had to pay the $100 fee for diagnostic tests only to be told that the cabin air filter needs to be replaced. Yet, they were going to charge us over $400. This same vehicle had a window recall that never got taken care of and as we inquired about it, were told they would not be able to fix that until we replaced the windshield since it has a star in it. Nevermind, we purchased the vehicle with a star. This recall should have been taken care before the vehicle was put on the used lot. Also being "blue certified" a cabin air filter should have been checked and replaced. Service representative Maria was horrible at returning phone calls and calls and texts came from at least 3 different numbers. I'm disappointed to write this review after waiting 6 months for a Ford F-150 Lightning because the dealer changed the price three times for the same vehicle. 1st the MSRP was $45,944 from Ford Window Sticker, 2nd price on the lot & vehicle is $53,434 which includes a $5,000 markup & $1,601 "additional dealer profit", 3rd the price on the phone from General Manager is a price of at least $60,000 before tax, title, and license. To add insult to injury, they want me to wait until January 2023 so that the GM can get a higher offer from someone who will unknowingly pay more with a dealer markup. I had purchased a brand new Ford Explorer XLT, fresh off the truck hauler in November 2021. I actually live in Farmington, NM . I was passing through on my way to Texas when I purchased it. while I was in another vehicLe, I had a friend that was already in Albuquerque at the time drive it home for me. I was only one keyFob, which I thought was strange, the sales person left the dealership, as well as the Finance agent.So I'm here in Albuquerque now trying to get a "FOB" but have been given the run around. I have made 4 trips to the dealership (Rich Ford) !!! Waited on "the gentleman who makes the keys" but he never showed up!! Finally a young lady gave me the key guy personal number and name, I called it, went straight to voicemail stating he wouldn't be back until the 25th of March. You'd think asa big Dealership that they would know this, but there's absolutely ZERO COMMUNICATION in this so called establishment. I will contact the gentleman ( Key guy) myself on the 25th. BTW I had forgot to mention the original salesman came back, he told my daughter that " Didn't" have to get me a second fob, because he was doing it out of the kindness of his heart!! WTH. My husband's family has a long history of purchasing cars from Rich Ford. When we saw THE truck we were looking for on their website for a great price, of course we had to go check it out! The financing options at Ford are great and so are the warranty packages. Rich Ford is a great dealership and they have a cute cafe on site too! Are the sales guys a little pushy? Yes. But let's be honest. They work off commission and they have families to feed too. At the end of the day, we were more than well taken care of once again and we got an amazing vehicle for an ideal price. Don't ever take your car here for repairs. We took a used F150 here to get looked over when we bought it a year ago. The mechanic was first talking to my husband, and when I came in he refused to look at me and when I would ask a question he would look at my husband to answer it. We had them replace all four brakes and then went somewhere else for all other repairs. Well, we just found out that when they put the drum brakes on the back they put it on wrong and a bolt came off the brakes!
