Rich Ford gets 1 star, just because I can not leave less. The worst! Bought a brand-new Ford Bronco almost 2 years ago from them. Love the car, hate everything else about Rich Ford, with the exception of Jimmy. If it was not for him, we would not have tried for 2 years to be loyal to them. He would jump through hoops to get things done that we were promised and just was not going to happen. To sum up our problems, on every visit, they we ill-prepared, did not know what was happening, and had tons of excuses. More recently when trying to get the necessary information from them, the telephone customer service was unprofessional, rude, unhelpful, and hung up on us several times. Once again, Jimmy saved the day, by getting the name and phone number we needed to get our Bronco serviced in Las Cruces. Las Cruces will be getting all our future services, and it is where we will be purchasing our next Bronco. Sorry, Jimmy. I hope they know how important you are to them, but I doubt it!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Gravely disappointed that I was straight up lied to. I was told that I needed new brakes, new struts, rotors resurfaced and a coolant flush all to the tune of aprox 2200.00. I took it to a place with a very good history here in ABQ and they said all of it was fine!!! RF tried to rip me off!! Is it because I am a woman? After chatting with a representative of Rich Ford last night confirming they had a truck I was interested in purchasing, I set an appointment to drive and buy; only to drive 1.5 hours and find out that not only did they not have the vehicle, but it wasn't to arrive until 12/17. The sales manager smug remark to our wasted 1.5 hour drive was "so". Not only will I never buy from this dealership, but I'll be letting Ford Corporate know in our next review meeting as my company purchases all of our fleet from Ford. read more

I highly do not recommend Rich Ford. One of the worst experinces I ever had and it is not the first time with Rich Ford. We currently own a 2021 Ford explorer, which is our second car that was bought through Rich Ford. We took our car in for an oil change, on a Tuesday, a day before we had to travel Ohio for a few days. We let service department represetive know that we will be coming back on Saturday evening and would like to have the car back on Sunday. The service representative assured us that the car will be ready and waiting for us on Sunday. When we went to pick up the car on Sunday as planned, the sales team did not know anything about the car and did not care to help at all. Given the team was confused, we asked to speak to a manager to clarify the issue. After more than 30 mintues of waiting, Patrick who was the manager for that Day showed up and without asking about the issue told us "I can not help you". My wife was justifiably annoyed and asked who can. To which he answered with annoyonce ''I am the manager and I am not going to help you" and then he walked away. We tried with others on the sales team, but were ignored and kept waiting for almost two hours. I was told at some point that ''the Manager will not speak to my wife'', who is the primary owner of the car. Patrick never came out of his office again and we left Rich Ford on Sunday without our car, after wasting more than 2 hours and my wife was treated in a sexist way. We went back to Rich Ford the next day, Monday, to finally pick up the car and told the service department what had happened. Other than empty promises, no one from Rich Ford has reached out to us to rectify the issue and appologize to my wife. I will never recommend or deal with Rich Ford again, I will be taken my business elsewhere where it is appreciated. read more

UPDATE 8/9/2019: About a month ago, my car would not start, so I had it jumped and realized it was the battery (in a 2 year old car). So I took it to Rich Ford. Initially, they said my warranty had expired but told my boyfriend and I that the battery was covered. We asked twice if that meant we wouldn't pay for the battery and our service person said "yes". At the end, they hand me a bill for $175 for the battery and labor. I was furious and asked the service guy why I was paying when he said I wasn't and he said I must have misunderstood him. No..I misunderstood my previous thought that this is a reputable dealership. Especially when my car is only 2 years old. I would NOT recommend getting service or a Ford here. 3/2017- I had an amazing experience at Rich Ford. They worked hard to meet my needs and gave me an incredible deal. My salesperson was a little busy at the end, though and didn't go over the car details with me, leading to some confusion as to some features. Other than that, excellent service. read more

After the deal was done, the sales person stopped answering my calls/texts. I followed up with the sales manager who said he would make it right. He then stopped communicating with me. Tracked the vehicle I was looking at and took Rich Ford three weeks to sell the vehicle at the price I was asking. Rich Ford claimed it would sell fast which was a lie. I recommend seeing Jagger and Melloy Dodge! Jagger will get you in and out and get you the best deal possible. My first interaction with Rich Ford was in May 2021 when I inquired about the prospect of trading in my 2020 4-Runner and applying that trade into a build-out for a 2022 F-250. I felt that the trade-in price they provided was fair, and I was pleased with the build-out experience, which is why I returned to the dealership in mid-August 2021. At that time, I had a rare and time-sensitive opportunity to sell my alternate vehicle, meaning that I would be without a vehicle in the interim while I waited for the F-250 to arrive. The projected arrival time for the truck was anywhere between October-December 2021. I approached to Rich Ford in August and candidly shared my challenging circumstances with the members of the sales team, most notably with Mike C. who I had already established a business relationship with. I explained that within a matter of days, I would be without a vehicle and that this was particularly stressful largely because I would need to leave for (out-of-state) work the following week. Additionally, I shared with Mike that the situation was compounded by an unexpected personal matter which created some financial constraints. When I approached Mike C., my literal words and sentiment to him were "please do not screw me over." I reiterated several times that I was in a hard spot and that I had returned to Rich Ford because I trusted that they would treat me in good faith. I had already been a loyal, and profitable, customer-Rich Ford had made a profit from my 4-Runner, I had done a build out of an $80,000.00 truck with them, and now I was back to do additional business. Mike C. assured me that they would "take care" of me, which I interpreted to mean that they would treat me in a fair and honest manner. Unfortunately, I was deeply mistaken and, instead, Mike C. and his sales team, I can see now, exploited my situation for their own gains. Mike advised that the best and most financially prudent course of action for me in the situation I was in would be to lease a new vehicle. I again emphasized that my greatest priority was that I not be ripped off in the transaction. Mike repeatedly reassured me that leasing a new vehicle-in this case the F-150-would provide me with the best return on a trade-in when the F-250 arrived. I expressed hesitation about the idea, but ultimately listened to Mike's insistence that this purchase would pay for itself upon trade-in. Moreover, Mike explained that a larger down payment would ensure lower monthly payments. In the end, I leased the new F-150, with a down payment of $18,500.00. Against my better judgement, but at the behest of Mike and his sales team, I leased a new vehicle and applied a sizeable down payment to it. My only comfort at the time was the assurance, by Rich Ford, that this was more advantageous than leasing a used vehicle or purchasing one in the $3000.00-$6000.00 range. Both the former and latter options were available to me at the dealership but were discouraged by the sales staff as not financially beneficial. When I went to work, I avoided, for five weeks, driving the F-150 anywhere that wasn't an absolute necessity. I limited my movement as a result, wanting to put minimal miles or wear and tear. I had every confidence that Mike was telling me the truth when he said that the trade-in price would be favorable for me. In reality, when I returned the F-150 just two months in to having it, having only put 4000 miles on it, the trade-in return I received was $5,123.00. This is absurd. I understand that there is an I feel that proper compensation from Rich Ford would be a $10,000.00 return on the lease from the F-150 and an apology for having knowingly compromised my credit status without any regard for communicating with me or being honest with me. I have been a reliable and profitable customer for them, and they have been predatory and deceptive. read more

Rich Ford worst Ford dealership I have ever done business with. I purchased a vehicle from them in October of 2023. The vehicle was for my granddaughter who lives in Missouri she had been in contact with the dealership prior to driving here with a vehicle she was trading in. They told her everything would be taken care of. Her dream vehicle turned out to be nothing but a nightmare. Odometer reading from the trade-in was left off the paperwork. I text one of the sales persons so they could help me get the odometer reading. I was told I needed to talk to somebody in finance. So on April 18th I decided to the dealership to see if I could get the odometer reading. I was taken over to finance I talked to somebody and explained what I needed He told me he would go look and see what he can find out for me. Only returning waving a piece of paper in front of my face saying I was getting nothing until I paid $1366. I had no idea what he was talking about so I tried calling my granddaughter she did not answer so I left 10 minutes later she called me back, so I returned to the dealership so she could talk to them. This time as I walked over to finance, I saw the sales girl talking to the finance guy I tried to talk to her, but she stuck her hand out and said I'm done with you. I was already leaving walking into the show room when the sales girl came with a 300 pound man to chase me off the lot saying I was trespassing to leave and not come back he was right behind me, followed me all the way to the parking lot telling me I was trespassing. I was scared to death I am 71 years old lady they should be ashamed of themselves. All I can say is I sure wasn't trespassing when I was purchasing a vehicle that ended up costing $57,000 . Just to let you know how crooked this dealership is the vehicle my granddaughter traded in was in her mothers name and they knew that but they had her sign, her mothers name, saying there was ways around stuff like that. I have made 2 separate appointments at Rich Ford's Service Department, both confirmed. When I went in for the service, first a recall and then an oil change, they had no record of there ever being an appointment. I figured the first time was a simple error, but the 2nd time?! Come on! If you don't do appointments, even for oils changes, take it off your service page. Shoddy business model or just crap service, I'm not sure what it is. Either way, get it together! Took my Ford Escape in for an oil change and tire rotation. An hour or so later I was informed that my car was ready but.... But? They couldn't rotate the tires because the lug nuts we're beginning to round off and they were afraid their air wrench tool might complete the damage to one or more of the worn lugnuts complicating things further. Worn? How does that happen? After talking to a manager at Big O Tires I learned that Ford, in it's wisdom cheaped out on their stock lugnuts...but I'm sure it wasn't just on my vehicle. The lugnuts are apparently of some type of metal wrapped in a chrome plated tin material that doesn't stand up to regular tire rotation removal and replacement. So I got half of what I paid for. I went back to Big O Tires and purchased 4 sets of lugnuts that would stand up. Cost: Around $80 plus my running around trying to solve my problem. I played phone tag with 2 different customer service representatives from Rich but they gave up on me after I called them back and left multiple messages. Unfortunately Ford uses inferior lugnuts that don't wear well...you get the message. read more

First of all, I've been going to Rich Ford since 2019. Back then they were friendly , helpful and seemed to care at least a little bit. I bought a band new piece of junk from them and it's just been one problem after another, a nightmare to say the least. The last 3 years have been really bad at the service department, they just don't know what they are doing, I've tried taking it to other mechanic shops but they tell me they can't fix the problem and I have to take it to Ford shop. Do I get screwed every time, over and over and rich Ford does not appreciate your business, they treat you like you are a nuisance, well I feel the same about them and their vehicles. I just got my car back yesterday after taking it in for a fuel pump 3 weeks ago, they just lie, lie n lie some more and they give you one exc after another. First they had the part then they didn't, then they ordered it but couldn't be delivered because of weather and fires. Then last week it got lost in transit but was not there fault, of course not! After all the business I've given them with this lemon of a car they sold me, brand new, mind you, I will never return there. Drove an hour and a half south because they confirmed via email &text they had 4-5 base model Broncos (they're Big Bend models 5-10k more but they don't show price on there site so you can figure it out). Showed up and they were showing me the wildtrek and bigbend (drove an hour and a half north for the base model). Then they show me a Big Bend that they said "new" but when I went to sign the paperwork to close on it they clarified "like new" (not the same) and we're selling at the price of a new without less guarantee/warranty etc... Last month I had an 5 star experience. Long story short, Bart and his service team really took care of me. No funny business whats so ever. In fact, everyone from the greeter to the shuttle driver was above and beyond. Because of the stellar experience, I stopped by today for an oil change. Mikal recommended an alignment so I agreed. Two hours later the oil change and alignment was finished. As you can see in the report--NOTHING was changed. It was fine before and an alignment was not necessary. WTF took 2 HOURS!? Of course still charged $90 plus shop supplies. Add an $2400 recommended repairs and an flyer left on my dashboard. Todays experience is a 1 star. Too bad there isn't an option for zero stars. Easily the worst car dealership in Albuquerque (and this includes all those wholesale dealers that have sprouted along Lomas and Central SE). It's all about the art of deception with these guys. I only stopped by because they advertised something about offering 125% of KBB on trade-ins, which sounds pretty good. I've never been fond of "American" cars but they had a used Hyundai with low miles and a great price that seemed appealing. After test drive, I let them appraise my vehicle (they asked all the irrelevant questions that all dealers ask: is it financed? And if so, How much do you owe?) but whatever; I told them to just do an appraisal and we will talk about the financial stuff next. They came back with a healthy appraisal (probably helped that I said Power Ford gave me a great appraisal), so that wasn't the issue. The issue was that they raised the price of the Hyundai by 50%, as if I wouldn't notice this. When I asked why, they said something about getting a special price on a vehicle OR 125% of my trade in. Ha. Even with the Hyundai, they wanted to sell me a vehicle that was $3,000 above KBB FMV. Total scam artists, and even our salesperson knew this but was probably told to give me this particular deal. At least he had the courage to talk to me, while his sales manager stayed behind the enclosed offices. Coward. It didn't take long for my wife and me to leave the showroom in laughter, all the while our salesperson knew we weren't going to take the bait. It's sad to know how often these guys get away with these kind of sales tactics because people are too naive to question their BS. read more

We broke down in the middle of our vacation and had our Ford E350 towed here at 4pm on a hot July day. They shuttled our family of 8 to a great hotel and within ten minutes they called us to let us know they were working on our vehicle. They kept us informed along the way and by 9am the next morning they had our van repaired and we were back on the road! The service people and the shuttle driver were all nice and very friendly. They made us feel like everything was going to be alright, and they made our repairs a priority. I was very impressed all around. read more

I went in time get a new key fob, mine broke the day before, they said they would replace it. I waited 2.5hrs, Tyler, the boy who was taking care of me charged me 320 when the new one was ready. I went out with my brand new key, i quickly saw the fob was not working, I went back in and told him, so he asked the lady who worked on the key. She was equally confused, I said "you were working on this 2.5hrs and didnt check to see if the key even worked?". They just looked at me and said my car must be broken, which I might add, I heard the first time they said that. They still proceeded to talk slowly to me and tell me what felt like 50 other times before I left. I then told him, i would like a refund, the entire reason I came here was for a key fob, you sold it to me under the premise it worked. I already have a key that works. He said he didn't give refunds, so I asked for the manager. He told me to follow him. he appeared upset and said I wasn't allowed back there, I said "you told me to follow you". So I waited where he told me to wait. Tyler then turned and just looked at me, in what I perceived was a very annoyed look at me, and told me my car was broken I am clearly not understanding. I told him he sold me the key under the premise that it was working, he even thought it was working we had been through this. He then appeared upset and said he had "better things to do" and I was "barring him in". Which I was not, and I gave him a wide birth to walk by after,I didn't realize I was I was such a scary imposing force that someone could not simply say, "excuse me".. Jerome Trujillo then comes out and proceeds to talk to me very very Very slow saying something in my car must be broken, (which As I said, I heard the first time). He said he'd give me a free look to see what else they could find was wrong in my car. I said no, the entire reason I came was for a key fob, you sold it to me saying it worked, it did not, i already have a key. You charged me 320 for something I already have and did not need, I would have never bought if you had told me in the first place. This man was something else. He PROCEEDED to talk slower and give the whole Shpeal again which I wasn't interested in. Said the key worked, which like I said the fob did not. I told him again I just wanted the refund, he appeared frustrated at me. He Said he wiped his hands of me. So I simply told him he needed to write out his refusal to refund. This man was absolutely unprofessional, he originally told me no he would not write that, I asked him why he couldn't write out on paper he was refusing to refund me, so he threw his hands up raised his voice at me, said "I'm done with you", "you don't understand" . Tyler, on top of that, was incredibly rude, In how he acted in the hall and said he had better things to do. When he sold me a key for 320 dollars that he had never even checked to work? If you can't be trusted with something simple, don't trust with something big. Anyways, all This to say. Check to make sure what they allegedly fixed is fixed. If they had told me beforehand that it wasn't fixed I needed something else in my car looked at, I would have thanked them and left. Instead I'm out 320$. 2.5hrs of my life, and was talked down to, while needing to remind the boy Tyler about my car. i get if you're new, I don't care, I don't get when you are rude and talking down to single mom with her kid wasting her time, clearly not understanding the situation. read more

I've got nothing bad to say about this place. I didn't buy my car here - I bought it before I moved to ABQ. But I bring my Ford here whenever I need service of any kind and they knock it out of the park! Amazingly fast, very friendly, free shuttle, free wifi, etc. And their prices are really great. They have never jerked me around on price, padded the estimate or otherwise screwed me. In fact, I have brought my car in for things that have turned out to have minor fixes that they have not charged me for at all. Awesome. If you feel like being a victim to pressure sales baiting and switching untruthful and horrible salesman/Financing then look no further than to Rich Ford. Hands-down worst by experience I've ever had in my life and I bought and sold over 40 vehicles. The experience here has left me shaken angered and afraid for other people that are looking for a new/used vehicle. This company uses this tactic called SPOT DELIVERY, it's tactic where they let u walk out the door with ur new presumed vehicle to then call u a few days later to notify u that the loan had not gone threw. After u are falling in love with ur vehicle they bait u in for a much higher interest rate and increase in payment amount. Knowing that ur gonna bite cause well u love ur new vehicle. Further more if your trading in, do ur research and make sure ur not getting hosed buy these guys, read threw the documents cause they will change numbers and not disclose what they do or how they come up with the numbers, then u signed a binding contract with them. lastly the right to return the vehicle, New Mexico doesn't have a standard and in the paper work when signing look for the FTC COOLING OFF-RULE, as a part of Buyers remorse. If u sign the line they won't buy the vehicle back in most cases then ur stuck with the vehicle and most likely because all these stars align they capitalize on your lack of knowledge and make out like bandits. So what have I learned from this process don't do business with Rich Ford there sales team are taught to prey on new and inexperienced buyers. read more

IHorrible problem with Rich ford. They have me a "we owe you paper to sign that stated they owe me whether tec floor linners, but I got the ford cheaper version. I also had my 2022 brake checked out because of squeaking and they recommend changing my rotars out, on a 2022 f150 after owning it only 2 months. I called Bart sales manager and he never got back to me. So I go down in person and have issues with the sales mangers, Ryan and Bart. They won't cover my rotars at all , on a BLUE GOLD CERTIFIED 2022 F150 TERD. THEN the sales Manger , says he won't change out the floor Matt's and says leave or he will call security and I say you still have my property, the floor Matt's and then he tosses them down and walks away. The manager blew it. I'd give the sales person I worked with four or five stars. I also met with one of the used vehicle sales people. They both were very knowledgeable, pleasant and very helpful in looking at Ford trucks. I was ready to buy and would've bought at this dealership but the price quote from the manager was higher than the price quote this dealership has on their Internet Price listing. I may not be the most sophisticated purchaser, but to get an insult like that after taking up a significant amount of their sales staff time as well as my time was quite a disappointment. Another dealership was quite happy to give me the next model up at a better price than this dealership quoted for a lower model. That was zero haggling, zero time waiting for them to do 20 minute sales person running it by the manager game. So in summary, nice sales staff, I put all the blame on the manager or maybe it was the handoff between the sales person and the manager but hard to buy a truck there when other dealerships have a cleaner easier sales process and much lower prices. read more

When asked, he came across as knowledgeable and proficient like a person who was "hands on". He related what had been cleaned, repaired and tested for compliance. I placed an early reservation for my Ford Bronco and No one reached out. I eventually had to go to them and get my order placed. Maria and Alan were wonderful but my sales agent, Hunter (the owners grandson) was unresponsive for months. His voicemail was always full and he did not return phone calls. I finally received my bronco on Dec 3, almost 2 years after placing the reservation. The accessories have not come in(it's now Jan 25). I have 3,700 miles and the bronco will not start. I had it in their shop 2 weeks ago and they told me everything was fine. Now their saying there is something wrong and it won't be covered under the warranty, or the extended warranty I purchased. I personally checked the battery (full) they advised me call for a jump. I checked the fuses and the starter and disconnected the battery I even plugged in a code reader, I was told to have it towed to the dealership. Two days later they still have not even diagnosed it, just said they will not provide a rental in the meantime because it's not covered under warranty. I'm a single mother of a special needs child and they are giving me this BS. The car is less than 2 months old and has 3,700 miles, there are also multiple forum posts about this issue. It's a manufacturer defect! I don't appreciate the run around and I don't appreciate being treated like I know nothing. It's snowing and I've missed work and have no way to meet the needs of my family after purchasing this $65K+ vehicle. The sales staff at Rich Ford are liars! They have a clever scheme going where they make you think you have made a deal and let you drive away with a vehicle you don't own then 7 days later inform you you need to come make that deal. Held my car for FOUR days, didn't even get a diagnosis til I spoke with the manager (who at the very least was understanding so I'll give him credit for that) but noticed today when I was replacing my coolant reservoir that they didn't even put my motor cover back on! Leaves a lot to be desired, the service dept makes it pretty clear they are so busy losing your business makes no difference to them . They are less than accommodating and more often than not the service advisor doesn't answer their phone. We are a ford family but I almost want to trade my 150 and 350 for a Chevy for the sheer fact that ford service in Albuquerque is one step above the mvd and social security office . read more

Well this is a dumpster-fire of a service department... I called in the morning to make an appointment for service and when I asked the girl answering the phone, she said I didn't need one and that I could come by whenever - ok fine. Then I asked if there would be loaners available if I didn't have an appointment - her exact words were "we always have loaners available so just come in." OK FINE. So I go in on my lunch break and talk with Tony at the service desk who proceeds to tell me not only are they booked out 72 hours, (which I should have been told on the phone,) but they also "never do loaners, we cant do that for every customer, if we did I wouldn't get a paycheck." Despite the fact I was in less than 6 months ago and had a silver focus as a loaner the first time, and a black f150 the second time! He then proceeded to ask me why I was bringing the truck in... I said because of a rattle from the back end, to which he replies "DO YOU KNOW WHATS MAKING THE NOISE?" Well... no, that's why I'm standing in front of you at this exact moment. Yikes... So essentially I wasted my entire lunch break on an errand when the entire reason I called in the first place was to avoid exactly what ended up happening. My call to the manager of the service dept was not returned. Already irritated that I have a $65K truck with less than 35K miles on it that needs to go in FOR A THIRD TIME under warranty, but after my experience last time, where they didn't reconnect a throttle sensor (or something) and the truck wouldn't accelerate, I figured they deserved a review. read more

If there was a way to leave a negative star I totally would! Dropped off my $60,000 truck that I paid thousands extra to have the extended maintenance warranty and they "skipped" over my paperwork and are just now getting to it. I tried calling 3 times and each time no one knew crap!!! Service manager tries to apologize and says "We won't charge you"...yeah you won't charge me because I already paid for it!!!! I'm so pissed right now! I will never bring my truck back or purchase another vehicle from this place. I just wasted thousands on an extended maintenance contract!!! So this time on how can richford screw me over they have done this, at 45,000 miles they just canceled my maintenance plan that on the paperwork I signed guarantees me through 65,000 and 6 years. That is per the maintenance plan they gave me when they screwed me out of the trade in value of my truck. I have shown them paperwork that says I bought 6 years and 65,000 miles, but they are choosing to no longer honor something I have purchased. They're supervision or management has already looked at my paperwork, they have tried to update it in the system but the owners or whoever is the administrator of that system simply will not approve something I purchased from them. Now I'm sure the reply will be something like that's not how we do business, that's not how we act, we have an awesome rating with the bbb, however this is the fact, this is what's happened and I wouldn't recommend Rich Ford to my worst enemy on the planet if I had one. No one in a right mind should have to go through any of this ever. The only benefit of this happening is this means I never have to set foot in that place again and the 12,000 they have screwed me out of is worth it to not have to deal with anybody in that building ever again. Let that sink in, and then reread it that is how terrible this business model is, that they will lie and cheat you out of your money to the point we're not interacting with them is the only way to exist. They are either brilliant businessman or exist in a world where the worst you are the better you get rewarded. Either way no one should deal with this business. read more
