I was in need of someone to repair my fairly new whirlpool dishwasher as the top rack was broken. I called Whirlpool and they said I could order the part. So I did. They then wanted to send someone out. The trip charge was $150.00 plus an added charge for labor and that's not factoring the cost of the part and the shipping. A brand new rack in its entirety is $400.00. I was well on my way to that number when I decided to scrap that plan, grab the part and hire local to install. After having two other companies come out to work on our machine and falsely replace our drain pump Matt figured out the issue with our machine and it's finally working! He took everything apart and discovered the draining issue wasn't the pump or the hoses - there was a long snakelike thick string of lint that had built up in the drainage system.
