After reading several Yelp reviews for appliance service technicians, I initially chose a company other than Richard's Appliance. Both had great reviews, but I went with the one that had the lowest service call fee--a decision I quickly regretted. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for," and that couldn't have been more true in my case. Without going into too much detail, the first technician left me waiting for a week without even a courtesy call to update me on the status of my repair. Frustrated, I reached out to Matt, and he responded right away. We scheduled an appointment, and he arrived right on time. When I explained the burner issue with my stove, Matt immediately diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately, the part I needed was no longer available, but he suggested a simple fix and even provided the part number, recommending that I check eBay for it. Additionally, I mentioned that one of my stove's knob springs (holds the knob on to the knob shaft) was missing. Matt suspected it might have fallen below the knob. With a flashlight and a magnetic screwdriver, he found it and retrieved it for me--problem solved! Matt is thorough, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable, with a great sense of humor. My Amana dryer wasn't getting the job done, even after having the dryer vent cleaned. A search for reputable dryer repair services led me to Richard's. Matt responded to my inquiry and even had a few helpful suggestions to try before he came out to check out the dryer. Those suggestions didn't pan out but Matt promptly scheduled an appointment with me and arrived on time. He was very professional, honest, and quickly discovered the problem (which turned out to be a huge lint clog inside the dryer itself). The problem was taken care of at a reasonable rate. I suppose we live in an age where reliable service is hard to come by. If that's true, Richard's Appliance is the exception to the rule. I received a return call in a timely manner and Matt the technician was out that same day. He diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator in short order and had the necessary replacement parts with him. We were up and running in less than a half hour. Matt is courteous and responsive. Matt serviced my Whirlpool Refrigerator. My ice dispenser was not working. He was able to find a replacement part. How nice to have it working again so I do not need to open the door and reach inside with my hands to get ice. Matt also repaired my Whirlpool washing machine that is an older model. The drive coupler needed to be replaced. I have clean clothes again. Matt is very knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy. I highly recommend him to service your products. read more
