The first big storm that came thru this year did damage to the ceiling and walls of our living room . we got several quotes and decided to use Richards. Their price was good and it covers what our home insurance would pay. we had used Richards to paint out exterior a couple years ago and they did a great job then. They were AMAZING. The crew came in, took photos of everything and removed all the pictures and wall stuff and covered everything with plastic etc. They repaired the damage to the drywall removed and replaced it with a new drywall and put on two coats of paint. They then put all the furniture and decorations back in the exact position it was when they arrived. Steve, who is Bob's brother also the owner and his foreman Alex & Hugo were amazing. Wow. Where to begin. Reached out for a quote in mid April. I don't own the house yet, we are in escrow, but have a 2 week gap from when we get the keys until we move in. Bob reassured me many times that he was open both weeks. Finally got the quote back 5 days after he said he would have it done originally after a few reminder phone calls. I told him it was a go for the second of his the two weeks. Tried to call him twice the last 2 days. Finally get him to answer: "Hey I would love to help you but now I am booked up all the way through late June with people who put deposits down." Try calling someone else." Would have been nice to know he was blowing smoke the whole time about availability. Flakey? Yes. So now we are stuck not being able to get our house painted before we move in because it's too late. I highly recommend Richards Painting. I had them paint the outside of my house and all the woodwork inside. Bob is great to work with during the bidding process, the prep, and the painting. Richards Painting has a corner on the painting market. They do a good job. Bob tries to ensure the customers are satisfied, and does well at keeping in touch in the future, and sending thank you notes, etc. Very nice. Pro's: Large company, so multiple employees and crew. They can get the job done fairly quickly, since they have the man power. Con's: Large company. While their painters all seemed professional, I don't believe it's the same attention to detail if you're the owner, doing the job yourself. We had our house painted a few years ago on the inside, and there are areas where the paint has chipped off. Granted, we have children, so I'm sure that's a factor. In summary, if you want quick, efficient, reasonable service, give Bob a call. If it's your forever home, maybe try a company where the owner does the work exclusively. read more

This team is amazing! We have had the pleasure of using Mr. Richards services in the past; but, this year, the storms caused a roof leak into our living room right over hard wood flooring. we had to open the leak in our ceiling and remove the wet insulation in order to contain the leak. After we were able to get the roof repaired, Mr Richards came and evaluated what we needed, including replacement insulation. He got a paint sample and we had a date set for the work. They showed up right on time and did everything from insulation, to drywall, to repainting the walls, ceiling and baseboards. They were so efficient and organized, they were able to finish sooner than projected, cleaned up all of the area and left us with a room that looks like it had never had a problem in the first place. They even moved our furniture back in place. Our room looks perfect and we are so grateful. We highly recommend this company and will use them ourselves again in the future. read more

Working with Bob RIchards was the best experience I've ever had working with a Contractor/Owner. He was great from the very beginning to the end. I had 4 quotes and his was very reasonable and being such a professional and nice person, we chose him. He was so patient with me finding colors, even buying me samples when I couldn't quite decide. Richards threw plenty of staff and resources at it to get it done exactly on schedule. They were responsive to our needs and did a quality job.
