My husband and I stopped here a bit ago after a visit to the closest flea market. We've eaten here before and remembered it was amazing. Stopped in to try the famous Italian steak sandwich. The beef/steak was very dry, salty & tasteless. It was loaded with raw onion slices to the point that you could barely taste anything else. My fiancé was right!! She grew up in Cincinnati and told me over and over about the legendary steak hoagie. Well? If you can get our 12 year old daughter to eat onions you're doing something impressive. We have pizza and hoagies, and I am absolutely amazed at how good they both were. The food here is really tasty! The ranch is delicious and the pizza sauce is on point. However, customer service could be improved. Last time I was here I ate inside and ordered pizza bites and a hoagie. My pizza bites were dropped off at the table 1st, I completely finished them and waited an additional 15 minutes before I had to go back to work. When I went to the front counter, I told them that my food was never brought out expecting a refund, instead, he literally went around back, got my sandwich that had been sitting there for probably at least 20 minutes at that point, and said "here you go, just take it to go". I wasn't offered a refund. I would've stayed and argued or at least thrown the sandwich back at him but I had to get going back to work. Seriously guys? read more

We tried Richard's for the first time after a trip to the outlet mall. We had pizza and the parmesan cheese bites. The dining room in Monroe is small but comfortable. I'll describe their pizza exactly this way, and it is praise: Richard's pizza is like Domino's Pizza if Domino's was actually a good product and not garbage. Richard's has good ingredients and actually tasted really good. It's quite similar in construction to Domino's - thicky thick bready crust - so you have to like that. A key difference between Richard's and chain pizza is that Richard's uses a generous amount of good quality real cheese, without having to upgrade the cheese to "double". I'd eat here again with no issue. One star off because thick crust is not my favorite and they did not have any other style. read more

What a nice surprise. Husband and I were hungry and on the road so we popped in right at opening on Sunday at 11am. The kid at the front was quiet but helpful. The place was empty and relaxed with the sound of the employees chatting in the background. We ordered a pepperoni and beef with extra cheese and wow. We didn't expect such quality ingredients. The crust was homemade, the toppings were to the brim, and the sauce was spiced to perfection. Plus, their ranch was homemade. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! Went in with the family and ordered three hoagies and a large carnivore pizza. The hoagies were delicious and the three of us that ordered one would put it as one of the best around. The pizza wasn't bad but if the toppings went from edge to edge I'd probably give it a 5/5. The taste was great for everything but I don't think there should be spots with no cheese, sauce, or toppings on a premium pizza. read more

I recently had the misfortune of losing my mother and last night at the visitation several relatives had come to town. After the the proceedings were over we wanted to get together and visit and talk so we thought that we would go to a local restaurant and do that. After much thought we decided that it would be best to just order something and have it at my house. We decided Richards Pizza would be a great local taste for them to try. We thought we will call ahead and try to order. We decided on 8 large pizzas. 4 pepperoni and 4 deluxe so as to make it simple as possible. It was approximately 180.00. My wife calls and the girl who took the order just says we will have it ready in thirty minutes which we thought was awesome especially given the need for our unexpected get together. We were very happy at that point. We got there maybe 5 min early so as to not have our order in the way. We paid and sat on the bench to wait. With in about 5 to 7 minutes they had our order ready. As we were gathering our boxes a manager I suppose felt the need to say We were able to get this order together however but when you order two hundred dollars worth of food you need to give us more notice. In the future don't expect to be served with out a longer time period for preparation. We never pushed we never complained we just ordered, paid and picked up. We were very happy until the scolding. Did we interrupt their night making pizza to make more pizza. The pizzas were already made so any inconvenience had already been over come and we were very happy customers. I had never ordered 8 pizzas at one time in my life so I was not schooled in proper etiquette I suppose. Why it was necessary to educate us after the fact was very off putting especially under our state of grief. You never know what people are going through when you talk to them especially in a business setting. We didn't know we did anything wrong up to the point of delivery. Richard's is a local favorite for the Hamilton/Fairfield area. They've expanded to Trenton and Monroe and seem to be doing well. We LOVE their steak hoagies. They are delicious! They come on a hoagie bun with cheese, onion (raw white), pickle, and your choice of pizza sauce or steak sauce (both are good). If you're not a huge fan of onions, order without or ask them for light onions, as they put a TON on the sandwiches. The french fries are good and they also offer homemade fudge. They have pizza, but most people visit for the steak hoagies. Prices are reasonable and service is decent. This is one of those places you either love or hate. read more

Based on descriptions of this place as a "local favorite" and the fact that they have their own Richards mascot, cups, and napkins, my hopes were pretty up there. Quite possibly the worst pizza, steak hoagie, and pasta ever. If you like no flavor crust with crispy cheese then this is a garbage for you!! The hoagies and pasta have the same slop sauce. Hoagie with extra sauce was lacking anything that was desirable. The sauce had no flavor and the pasta was the same. The pasta sauce was the Italian meat sauce, which had the consistency and flavor of thick vomit. Was in the area and looking for good pizza, a quick Google search recommend this place. Overall a very good pizza. Bread sticks we're great. Even the loaded fries were awesome. The only complaint I have is the flavor of the pizza sauce wasn't what I typically like. I was also charged for 2 medium drinks instead of the 1 that I recieved (accidents happen). It is a little on the pricey side but most good pizza parlors are. I will definitely return in the future and try the calzones. read more

I think the food is good from time to time, the spaghetti is pretty wonderful also with meatballs and if you're a fan of Italian cuisine then you should really visit Richard's pizza crematorium. read more
