Fine tuning a balance issue. Dual balance all wheels and finally an old-school balance method. It involves the wheels being balanced while mounted on the vehicle. Yes, that red machine near the front bumper spins the wheel allowing a visual inspection of the wheels in movement and the feel of the vibration caused by the imbalance. Then weight is added accordingly to a specific area of the wheel (aside from the dual tire balance). This technique balances the entire hub/rotor/wheel assembly. Joe, the owner really put a lot of effort and time to dial it in as best as possible. 90% of the shake at the wheel from 60 MPH-80 MPH gone!!!! These guys been around for 35 years. They know what they're doing!

So happy with the service and end result I received from Truc (alignment tech) that worked on my car! Yes I did pay more that expected but I value my cars, performance, ride quality, tire wear, etc..... . He asked me lots of questions, told me what was possible and how he could achieve what I wanted my car to look and ride like. Spent time dialing in ride height, camber, toe, ... . He also pointed out another issue of of a leaking axle seal that I need to have fixed! Thanks for your service and interest in my happiness with my car!

In May I got an alignment here for my Tacoma. It cost 210$ which I thought was pricy but worth it if the alignments good. Dropped the truck off and came back like 6 hours later. Truck got a much needed alignment. Two months later I go off roading for about 30 minutes on an easy dirt road in USFS land. No drops or high centering. The road was so basic and easy I could have accomplished this with an SUV. I get back to find my truck has clunking noises when making turns at slow speed. Turns out my CAM bolts on my lower control arms were SUPER loose. The mechanic at Custom Alignment didnt torque my cam bolts down to factory spec. Factory spec says its suppose to be 100 foot pounds and these were nowhere near 100 ft-lbs. 30 minutes of light off roading should not loosen these cam bolts especially on an offroad tacoma with a suspension system that the tech here inspected and passed. Now I have to pay more money to get a new alignment and have my suspension system reinspected. Tried reaching out to the owner but he was difficult to reach. Im very disappointed in the lack of attention to detail. My decision to get my wheel alignment here is costing me more money. You should not have to double check your mechanics work to make sure they did a good job torquing down suspension nuts/bolts

    Actual charge at Custom Alignment

I recently ordered two tires from Tire Rack. While ordering, I had priced the installation from Custom Alignment on Tire Rack and it showed a price of $82. When I finally went to have these installed, the total came out to be $140 and change; $58 more than the estimate. I mentioned this in a purchase experience survey I got from Tire Rack, and someone actually followed up! They asked for some of the details and mentioned that they will contact Custom Alignment and request a refund for the overpayment. A few weeks later, I heard back from Tire Rack that Custom Alignment has not responded to their query. But Tire Rack gave me a partial credit for the up charge; which was nice of them! While I expect Custom Alignment did a decent job of installing the tires, this is akin to bait-and-switch on their part to advertise one price and charge something quite different. I can understand some small difference in amount, but there was nothing beyond the normal installation that should have incurred this 70% markup! I suppose I could have walked away when they gave me the estimate prior to starting work, but that would have meant lugging two tires in the trunk while looking for another installer. I didn't want to do it then, but I will look for a different installer next time.

Custom alignment is really awesome at what they're doing and you can see that as soon as you arrive. The lot is full of sports cars. And I'm not talking beater Miatas. Porsches and Corvettes all over the place. The staff is knowledgeable and patient. I came to get camber adjustment for my track car. They were able to help me dial in the values and also recommended toe-in adjustment. I really enjoy how the car drives now, my lap time at Laguna Seca improved by almost two full seconds. Will be back for more.

I called this business to see if they are able to accommodate a wheel alignment for my Audi S3. I left a message and hoped for a call back. Unfortunately the business never returned my call. As a business owner my self, no matter how busy you get or lazy does not constitute a no reply to my customers. We value our responsibility as business owners and go above and beyond the call.

It reminds me of other family run businesses like In and Out and Chick fil A where you're valued as a customer, the prices are always fair, and the quality & service stands out. I push back and ask him specifically which puncture is actually causing the leak. He starts checking and finds out the one near the sidewall isn't even the issue -- it's the other punctures. So now the original reason to refuse goes out the window. Then he pivots. Goes over to my front driver side tire -- completely different axle, opposite corner of the car -- and says he won't service my vehicle because of the condition of that tire. Points to a specific line in their internal policy: "2/32 Inches or Less." I read it right there in front of him. That row describes what they can and can't do with a tire that IS itself at 2/32" -- it says nothing about refusing to patch a completely separate tire on a different axle. He misapplied his own policy. Also worth noting: that same policy line has a green checkmark under "Inflate" -- meaning by their own chart they'd inflate a 2/32" tire but won't touch a perfectly separate tire on the other side of the car. Make it make sense. I asked him to put the refusal and the reason in writing. Wouldn't do it. Just kept pointing at the policy -- the same one that doesn't actually back up what he was saying. And here's the part that gets me -- if it's a safety issue, why'd you let me drive off? No waiver, no documentation, nothing. Just sent me on my way with the puncture still in the tire and the "unsafe" tire still on the car. That's not a safety call, that's a sales call. Posting the policy photo so you can read it yourself. Filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. If this sounds familiar at this location, you can do the same at bar.ca.gov.

Since it was conveniently located near my workplace, I figured it would make things easier and save me some time. I brought my car in for a simple balance and rotation service--nothing major, just routine maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. It was a Friday evening, so I wasn't surprised to see that the garage was pretty crowded with cars. In the past, I've made the mistake of walking in without an appointment and ended up waiting for hours, so I've definitely learned my lesson. Scheduling ahead of time really makes a difference, especially going into the weekend when most people are trying to squeeze in last-minute car maintenance. The young gentleman who assisted me was friendly, professional, and welcoming from the start. He explained the process clearly and gave me an estimated wait time. Even though the shop was busy, the service only took about 45 minutes, which was actually faster than what they initially predicted. I appreciated that they managed their time well and stayed efficient despite how packed the garage was. Overall, I had a great experience. The convenience of the location, the courteous customer service, and the quicker-than-expected turnaround time made the visit smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated the service and will definitely consider coming back to this location again in the future.

He really took the time to explain my options and made the process easy to understand. During the visit, I realized my tires were still under warranty through Sam's Club. I ended up canceling my service at America's Tire, and they refunded me without any issues. What really stood out was Brian's attitude. There were no hard feelings at all. He told me his offer would still stand if I decided to come back and remained just as professional and pleasant throughout the entire interaction. After driving to Sam's Club, I found their prices slightly more affordable due to the warranty, but the difference wasn't significant. Ultimately, I decided to come back to America's Tire purely because of the outstanding customer service. Brian made such a positive impression that it outweighed the small price difference. I even had the option of going to Costco or Sam's Club, but I chose America's Tire because of how well I was treated. When I went back Brian was not available but Alejandro helped me out with the same level of professionalism. They replaced all four tires in less than 30 minutes, and the pricing was very comparable to Costco and Sam's Club. I literally came back because of the customer service alone. If you're looking for a new set of tires and value professionalism and great service, I highly recommend checking out America's Tire on El Camino Real in Palo Alto.
