I just went here to pick up food and the lady coughed over my food as she was putting it in the bag. Granted the food was covered...but still. Coronavirus is real and killing folks like crazy. I politely asked if they could make my food over. She had a major attitude about my request and told me she had her face mask on so my food is okay. I was soooo looking forward to eating a bacon burger on my lunch break. So, I was really glad that a Rick's was nearby. Went in, ordered, grabbed a counter seat, and watched the game while the order was being made. It came. I was so excited to take my first bite. But then... it had mayonnaise. The food is good. My fiance' said the burrito was really good and I had pancakes and eggs.. The pancakes were a little rubbery, eggs cooked perfect though. It is a open air place and there were a lot of flies and it was warm. I had to use the restroom and was told it's out back. Well it was GROSS.. It is not locked, so anyone could go in there, there was urine on the floor and it was just nasty. I wouldn't go here again, because of the flies and bathroom. My family and I have been coming to Rick's In-N-Out in Gardena since 1971. And today will be the last time I will step foot here. We normally come with orders of $40 or more. And that now means absolutely nothing. In this new world, customer requests are not honored and loyalty is not appreciated. What was my outrageous request? The same request that I had asked and been granted for all or these years? I ordered a pastrami sandwich and asked that they chop the meat on the grill instead of huge fat chunks of meat that is a choking hazard to my mother. The same woman who has taken my order for years told me, "The owner said no." Wow!! And she smiled sarcastically like it was funny and said, "Oh well." And the restaurant was empty. And the owner was not even around. Because of the disrespect that I have been shown today, I will ensure that everyone that I know hears of how I was treated and recommend that they take their business elsewhere. Elizabeth and the main cook has worked here for approximately 30 years and they are great, but they weren't here. The rest of the staff is sarcastic. It is unfortunate when restaurants become so cocky and how they forget, it was we long time customers who kept them in business even in the roughest of economies. If you want your business to be respected and appreciated, Gardena has many other burger joints that will be more than grateful for your business and will make your food how you want it. So I called and ordered and the lady on the phone said my order would be ready in 10 minutes. So I get there and ask for my order and they all claimed that no order was placed. I've only eaten Rick's ground beef tacos - Delish! And, huge! Never been inside to sit down only order in drive-thru, but one time after I ordered our tacos, the lady asked if I wanted chicken or beef and I ask, ooh they have "chicken" now?? Well, we got our bag and I noticed that it seemed light - we looked inside and she had ordered the street tacos! Not, my original order, hard shell tacos that they're known for, which I ordered in the first place! I had to maneuver out of the drive thru and get back around traffic to go inside and get my Right order!
