I've been to this shop numerous times in the last 6 months and had nothing but great service. I only get gel nails done, can't speak for any other services they offer. Maybe once I wasn't happy with the color and they fixed it without hesitation or attitude. Only thing, I do wonder how they sterilize their tools? I've seen them use a spray solution to wipe them clean but would be nice to see them use tools out of a package like some other shops. Maybe they need some upgrades. read more

Service was absolutely horrendous... they did my pedicure in ten minutes and when I stated the polish looks clumpy, I was ignored and the technician continues to tap on my leg to calm me down after I told her to stop... I will never go back! I will whether wait four hours at the Nail shop on candler then come back here. read more

The shop is located in the Kroger shopping center, so there's plenty of parking. It appears to be clean and they use the liners for the pedicure baths. I'm not sure how they sanitize their tools. I didn't see a UV light and their tools didn't come out of sealed package. My experience: The first time I went here I got a full-set. My nails looked good, nothing out of the ordinary. Customer service was subpar, but unfortunately that's to be expected. About 4 days after getting my set, the top coat started to get tacky and started to pick up lint. By the 1 week mark I needed to get my nails re-polished due to the lint. I've never had that happen and I've gotten my nails done at least once a month for years. I went to a different place to have my nails re-polished. I figured my 1st experience was a fluke and went back to get a fill-in and cut down. Generally these 2 services are not exclusive, and the cut down is included with a fill-in. Here, I was charged to have my nails cut down. First time for everything. After I left, I noticed the top coat was rippled. My nails were dry, but the top coat appeared smudged. I've never encountered this problem either, so I'm assuming it's the product their using. Happened upon Ricky Nails, while searching for a place to get a last-minute fill-in and gel polish. Was a bit skeptical after reading one review, but gave it a go since the remarks were from 3yrs ago. Jasmine did an EXCELLENT job! I didn't have to wait, she helped me pick a great neutral shade for my skin tone, and she executed every step flawlessly; asking questions along the way to guide her process (shape, thick/thin, etc.). She even filed under my nails to make them look completely neat. Haven't had anyone do that without asking in over a decade. When finished, they looked better than the first full set I got done. I WILL definitely go back. Clean environment and the staff is very friendly. read more

Please do not waste your time or money at this horrible excuse for a salon. The service, the product, and the prices were all horrible. 15$ for a pedicure sounded great except it looks like a kindergartner colored on my toes. And they had the nerve to charge me $20 for gel polish. No manicure no fake nails just the polish. Like wtf. And even then she tried to send me out with them looking a mess. The place was dirty and hot. The staff was trying to rush every one out and up charged whatever they felt like. This was my worst experience at a salon and I definitely wouldn't go back even for them to fix this mess. read more

I been going to this nail salon since I was in middle school and even though the place was conveniently, they've always done a excellent job on my hands and toes. They were my first for my eyebrows being done and for my first time getting individual lashes and they gave me the best calming and fast experience my first and every other time I went so I do highly recommend this nail shop if your best quality in nails, or if your a first timer for waxing or getting individuals! read more

I do not recommend coming to this salon, after my pedicure I witness no sanitation of the bowls and instruments. I was very uncomfortable with the attempted use of a slicer to remove the dead skin from my feet, had to tell them no. A simple gel removal took over 45 minutes which was ridicules and lazy considering the lady used a drill after my hands was dunk into acetone for 10 minutes. I usually have good experiences here, but yesterday was questionable. It seemed like she was rushing because of the number of customers in the salon. But i waited, and was patient and I wanted to be treated like any other person in there...it was rushed and I had to ask her to get the polish that was on my skin, you know clean it up around the cuticle area. Been coming one and off for about 8 years. They have their good days and bad days. I have been to them 4 times in 5 days because my gel polish keeps coming off. Who has time to keep going back for what u pay for . and to make it worse I made an apt with Henry and he was acting as if he had no idea. I just wanted the color changed because it had to be something wrong with the color.he wanted to charge 20 for what I already paid for I waited 15 minutes for the manager and she changed the color. This has to be the worst nail salon in Lithonia Georgia. The owner of the salon did my nails and she did the worst job I have ever had done in my life. Not only did she try to put acrylic over nails that still had a little bit of Polish she globbed on the new polish so sloppily that I was astonished. I've been getting my nails done for a while since high school and a couple days ago I decided to try a new place. When driving by I saw the Ad in the window for Acrylic fullset $18.99 an up. That is just a way to get you in the door. I went in and this guy with faded tattoos had a bad attitude from the start. He kept trying to cut my natural nail extremely short an then he put the tip on and cut it all the way to MY NATURAL NAIL LENGTH and said that was $20! (my nail just barely passes the skin ) I said in that case what is $18.99 ? He said just covering your natural nail. . . . . . UM What? I said how is it for a little longer ? He then said $25 .... They need to take that fake sign off the door and say Full sets are $25 an up. I wish I took a picture it looked like a baby nail. I then politely told him he can take the tips off an I would no longer like to get my nails done. He starts making a fuss an rambling in another language. Then guy sitting at the desk comes an cuts the other nails the right size an the other guy jumps up an gets mad starts walking in and out like he needs a smoke break. I felt no type of friendliness. I really wanted to leave. At the end of the day the other guys does my nails an fixes them and I do tip him because he was very understanding. I personally would not go here again! read more

Ricky Nails has been a very sanitary and reliable nail shop for me and my daughter for many, many years. They do a great job. Henry is the best and so is Mary for pedicures and eyebrow waxing. I guess you can't please everyone-we all have to decide what's best for us, but our experiences have been highly favorable. read more

I have been getting my nails done at Ricky's nails for nearly 10 years. Jennifer, the former owner, was all business all the time. I know it might not have been ideal for her employees but the place ran efficiently for the customers. That being said, the place has been under new ownership for more than a year and I think I patronized them for the LAST time today. They really, really need to hire a manager to keep the flow moving smoothly. I signed in, wrote that I wanted a fill, pedicure and eyebrows waxed, asked for LeAnn and Jasmine, chose my color and sat down. I know nail salons are crazy busy on Saturdays but the sign says walk-ins are welcome and the people who work here know me by name. LeAnn did my eyebrows then said she had appointments so could someone else do my pedicure. Ok. Rose, who spoke the barest amount of English, did my feet. It was difficult communicating exactly what I wanted to her. Then I was put under the dryer for my toes. 3 hours later the owner walked back to me as if she was surprised I was still there. She said she didn't know I needed my nails done too! For Real?! I told you personally and signed in. She asked would I come back later today or tomorrow. Again, For Real?! Nope. Never again and I will go one step further to discourage my friends from patronizing this business. Damn I miss Jennifer. read more
