Right off, the parking is terrible. The location is right in the heart where all the other bars, clothing stores and eateries are in the crossroads, in the old KC Star building. The concept is simple, $10 and you have unlimited access to premier gaming - only catch is there's a waitlist. There are free games which again, depending how how busy they are, might be quite a wait. Now if you can find a table, there are board and card games available. We played pool (waitlist), beer pong (free) and darts (waitlist). There's Ping Pong , bubble hockey, foosball, skee ball (free) and more. Other patrons we encountered were very laid back so we had fun playing games with other people. Now there's a bar but not a huge variety of cocktails; mixed drinks with pop and beer or traditional cocktails like margarita on the rocks are options. They do not serve food but you can bring in food.. say from Grinders. It gets very crowded too! Don't forget to get a memorialize your time at the photo booth!

I had never even heard of Besos y Abrazos but saw that it was very close by and an easy streetcar ride away to Power and Light so, I thought why not? And boy am I glad I took a leap of faith. I was the first person in the restaurant a little past 11am and I came hungry and left very happy. The first thing I had to do was order a before noon cocktail because why not? I have free will. I was torn between the refreshing sangria and the bold booze forward old fashioned so, I went with the old fashioned because if you're going to do it- do it big! The old fashioned here is smoked and made with tequila not whiskey so, it had a different flavor profile. I enjoyed it but I think it would have been even better made with mezcal to further pull out the smoky notes but, I would order it again. Then came my first course, whenever I see shishito peppers on a menu I'm a simple girl I order them. These were delicious, the tangy tajin was plentiful and took them up a notch. These are tied with my favorite shishito peppers I've ever had (the other being at Blue Sushi right across the street). I can't wait to come back and snack on these. Once again, I was happily surprised when I spied octopus in the main entree section because, this is one of my go to proteins to order. If it's not done right it's dismal. This was done flawlessly. The octopus was tender and could be cut with ease, it wasn't rubbery at all and tasted fresh. The polenta added a creamy element and the entire dish was colorful and well composed. I would consider it a must order if you're an adventurous eater. Dessert was also tasty especially since it was dairy free...dairy does tend to upset my tummy so, I gladly gobbled this up. The presentation was class and fun, a parfait in a large cocktail glass- I love! These textures all worked wonderfully together and each bite had something smooth and crunchy and nutty. All in all this meal was a 10/10 I can't wait to go back with my mom and try their brunch because I think she would love the colorful Spanish vibes of this restaurant. What a great addition to Power and Light District Kisses Indeed Mwah!

When we arrived, the hostess was not very friendly and seemed like she did not want to be there. She seated us, and we waited for service while another table that was seated after us had their drink order taken right away by a different waitress. That waitress walked by us without acknowledging us at all, so I asked the hostess if there was only one waitress working because I wanted to make sure we were not being overlooked. The hostess said she was both seating and waitressing, then walked off. She later brought us waters but did not take our drink order or check in with us. After continuing to wait, we decided to leave and went next door instead, where we had a much better experience. It was a really disappointing Mother's Day outing, especially because we had been looking forward to trying this restaurant. Unfortunately, the lack of friendliness, communication, and service made us feel ignored and unwelcome. I do not recommend this restaurant, and we will not be going back.

It was pretty busy, but we found three seats at the bartop and were greeted quickly. We ordered from the happy hour menu and really liked: Atlantic Crunch Roll (roasted salmon, tempura flakes, cucumber, eel sauce) Tempura Veggie Roll (asparagus, pickled vegetables, avocado) Cucumber Sunomono - light and vinegary, thinly sliced cucumber Lavender Hugo Spritz - refreshing Chardonnay --- Toffee Popcorn - if something is possible to be both sticky and mushy, this was that - I don't recommend. Overall, I would go here again for happy hour. We were also told that the rooftop be a good time, so we might try that next time.

Sushi items so huge you can't possibly eat them in one sitting (and big surprise...most people don't take coolers with them for leftovers when they go out to eat!) Not enough universally appealing items on the menu, or in sizes you want if you're not inclined to share. Parking is hard to find and often expensive. I think there was only one waitress on the rooftop the evening we were there, having to take care of too many people, so there were major delays while waiting to order, and then between ordering and actually getting our drinks and food. By the time my food arrived, my friends who declined to order food were ready to leave.

Maybe it's not quite like being in The Cauldron, but hey, the climate is better controlled and the concessions prices are probably better. Call that a draw. Your experience is probably going to vary tremendously depending on if there is a live game happening. If it's just a random afternoon/evening and there isn't any Sporting or Current action happening, then the place is spacious and service is better. If it's during game time....yeah, make your way to the bar for service. That is not a knock on No Other Pub, but just know that this is a spot for the soccer fans of KC to congregate, especially if the teams are on the road. The food is just fine and nothing too special. Chances are good that you're there as part of something soccer-esque, just like when fans of the world descended upon Kansas City during the World Cup. Soccer is a unifying sport, and No Other Pub definitely captures that spirit.

No, this is more of a sit-yourself-down kind of place, instead of being a make-your-way-to-the-bar-for-yet-another-drink kind of place. But they serve up some Joe's Kansas City BBQ, so you know they've got a reason to pull you in. Nothing says Kansas City quite like smoked meats & fabulous sauces, so get comfy & sample a Z-Man. There is plenty else on the menu, but if you're vegan or vegan-ish, then good luck or maybe have a cheat day. The BBQ is fantastic and Ice House has added their own bar & grille twists, so you have options beyond smoked meats. Seating is pretty good, and with both a wraparound bar and table service, there are plenty of options. As is the norm these days, there are screens in all directions, so you just don't miss a single moment of sportsball if that's your jam. P&L is a jammed up place when events are happening, so if you can find yourself a spot to sit and enjoy, then that's a win. County Road offers that and more, and it's only real knock is the service levels, which can be slow at busy times. But hey, if you have a seat and maybe a drink, then wait just a few extra minutes for servers to plow their way through the bar crowd. Definitely worth it for the BBQ alone.
