It's the proverbial hole in the wall restaurant, with a deep, narrow interior offering a series of deuces along the wall. The kitchen and storage occupy the other half, with a small front area to sit or order. The food is excellent, although I have not delved tok far into the menu. But the carne asada is a good place to start. The prices are covered since the first visit but given costs of food and fluctuations, it's understandable. However, it's good to know what you're paying up front, so hopefully that changes soon. Another caveat is the $1.50 card fee, the highest I'm aware of, so cash is best clearly. I ate a big, messy, delicious carne asada burrito the first time, and their salsas also made everything better. The most recent visit saw me going a different direction by choosing the taco salad, in a large fried tortilla bowl. From the bottom up were: Beans, rice, carne asada (or any other meat you want), lettuce and, and tomatoes and avocado on top. I was surprised how filling it was, and it tasted so good, too. I suppose I'll try their tacos next and explore more from there in subsequent trips. read more

First of all, it's a really comfy nice looking hole in the wall type of restaurant. Then you try the food and it makes you melt, especially the tacos de cabeza. Great spot! Can't believe it took me so long to find this place. I ordered over the phone for a pickup order and it was ready within 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful, and though the restaurant is small it is clean with adequate seating. The salsa verde is one of the best I've had! Tacos were packed to the brim with meat. The meat was a little on the saltier side so I found myself using more salsa than normal, but I still really enjoyed it. Love how much pickled carrots/cucumbers they give on the side. I know covid-19 times are hard, i have ordered several times from here before and its always something missing. Either my can coke that comes with a combo they forgot, or my french fries that comes with a combo they FORGOT, or two mising tacos out of 14 that I ordered. Not a BIG deal my wife says, but when I CALL ABOUT THE MISTAKE THEY MADE THEY GET ALL DEFENSIVE, good food, but they don't have a good strategy to get orders right. I've been coming here since 2016 and have never been disappointed in their food. Prices have definitely gone up significantly, but it's understandable with the way everything has gotten more expensive. I recommend their asada quesadilla with corn tortilla (they hand make their corn tortillas) and red salsa. Overall recommend this place without hesitation to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. Their food is delicious, the workers are very welcoming, and they make you feel right at home. This place is actually amazing. We came on a Monday evening. We ordered asada tacos and a BRC burrito. The asada tacos are affordable and they don't skimp on the meat. The BRC burrito was flavorful and we loved that they cooked the tortilla a little more crispy. Five stars also for service. We were given red and green salsa carrots and cucumber. Rico's Tacos is pretty good! I haven't had very many of their foos items mainly just the carne asada tacos but I really enjoy them. They have great flavor, their salsas are delicious, I like the green and red sauce. I have had their horchata on numerous occasions and I do not like it at all. It's like sucking powder through a straw, nevertheless I still love the food. Their prices are extremely fair. Every time I have picked up food there I had friendly encounters with the staff so I would say they're friendly. It's not really a dine-in place it's fairly small most people just order to go. When coming to the Rico's taco place we started to order 3 taco combo plates 2 asada and 1 El pastor that come with a drink for each so we payed cash then one order in cash then the cashier said was 16.00 each which I feel is over priced then they said she didn't charge us for one plate that we didn't receive and I personally didn't want anymore so my friend was trya figure out what she was saying she owned so I came to the Counter to see what was the issue and she repeated that one Asada plate was paid in cash and another plate was paid with card so I asked her what did she owe them because we receive the pastor plate and you said that you didn't charge us with it so why is there two plates of Asada on the screen plus a soda which was now saying that she owed $28 dollar and sum changes which she came to the understanding she didn't owe anything because that's what the cashier said to me when I read her back the receipts then there was a bug in one of the plates so they gave us a hey refund after talking crap and then telling us that we had to leave even though one of our friends were still eating their so I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND read more

What I got was some obviously previously frozen, prefabricated "shrimp" (made from very poor quality fish is my guess) that had been tossed at some point into a fryer. My God, it was atrocious. I have come to this place at least once a month for a while now. I have had tacos, quesadillas, tortas and have not been disappointed. I came to today for lunch (Wednesday at around 1pm) I ordered the 2 taco meal that comes with rice and beans. The buche and alpastor tacos were really good. The rise had a good taste too. Beans were not my favorite but were still good. Overall my experience was really good. Only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 was because the girl taking the orders in the front took a while with the two college kids in front of me. The 3 were pretty much flirting with each other and just having a random conversation and not anything to do with their order.
