Visited Nunn Better Farms for cherry picking and honestly left disappointed. At first, we were…read morepicking cherries from an area that looked very dry and poorly maintained. Later on, we found out that section was already out of season. As we walked farther, we finally saw much better cherries, but most of the good ones were way too high to reach and there were no ladders available. There were some lower branches, but the cherries there were not great in quality, so we ended up picking only around 3 lbs. We then decided to switch to the peach and nectarine area hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately there was barely anything good to pick. Most of the fruits were either overripe, damaged, or already picked over. Overall, it felt like the farm should have better guidance on which sections are still worth visiting before customers pay and spend time walking around in the heat. The staff was fine, but the overall fruit quality and picking experience were disappointing for us this visit.

Well being truthful even some as we picked....The orchard is beautiful, the staff is always friendly, and the experience has become one of our favorite family traditions. In a world where so many places change over time, it's honestly amazing to have a spot that stays consistently wonderful year after year. Thank you for a decade of memories, sticky fingers, full buckets, and happy hearts. Already counting down until next cherry season! Now to pit them and make a fresh cherry pie..... $4.50/pound

A must for us every single visit is the Honey Glow pineapple -- if you haven't tried one, you're missing out. They are incredibly sweet, almost like biting into pure sugar, but in the most natural and refreshing way. It's the kind of fruit that's hard to find at your average grocery store, and Berkeley Bowl delivers consistently. Beyond the pineapple, the quality across the board is impressive. The blueberries are plump and flavourful, the oranges are bright and juicy, and the wider fruit selection never fails to catch our eye. It's clear that real care goes into sourcing what ends up on those shelves. For anyone living in or passing through the East Bay, Berkeley Bowl is absolutely worth a stop. It's one of those places that makes grocery shopping genuinely enjoyable, and the produce alone is reason enough to visit.

Concord Produce is a medium sized, locally owned and operated, fruit & vegetable "stand" , with attached fresh fish market catering to customers of multiple ethnicities, & cultures, speaking a dozen different languages .... No pretense .... and that's definitely part of its charm! Second, if you're looking for an environment with massive selection, automatic vegetable misters, checkout scanners, and full service accommodations..... this ain't it. It's " here's what we have today ... it's great quality, it's certainly fresh, and it's pricing is nothing short of fantastic ... on most items! What YOU need to bring with you, when you take advantage of Concord Produces incredible prices .... Is your patience! The three young women that work the cash registers have no scanners to instantly compute pricing, .... (They pretty much do it all from memory!!!!, .... and no "bag boys" to sack your purchases!) And finally, keep in mind, fruit and vegetable prices fluctuate constantly.... I.e. lots to remember! Net, net .... Great pricing, terrific value, hard working staff!

Although I have asked for the refund but still think there is fishy about their scale? Concord produce market should not be cost double compare other markets that for sure!

Their…read moreselection is huge, and the mushroom section is on another level, way beyond what you see at a normal grocery store. Fun fact: this place is famous for carrying hard-to-find and foraged produce and has been a quiet favorite of Bay Area chefs for decades, which explains why half the fruits look like they belong in a cooking show challenge. That said, the quality isn't flawless. This past summer the corn on the cob was disappointing, with a few ears already rotten at one end once you peel back the husk, so definitely inspect before buying. Also, the clientele is usually fine, but this visit featured an unnecessary checkout cameo from a full-volume Karen who felt the need to explain how standing in line works. The cashier chose silence, which felt like a statement. Still a great market overall, just keep an eye on the corn and maybe bring a little extra patience to the register.
