I was actually sitting in my car and they put an air conditioner hose in my car to keep me comfortable,as you can see in the picture... Unlike all the horrible experiences we've had with our dealers, nothing but wonderful experiences with Eric's Wrench for all these years. I'd like to describe two events, one at our beginning and one very recent. About 15 years ago a young woman was almost in tears, her car had 6 things wrong for about $600 from her Toyota dealer. I sent her to Eric, 4 were perfectly fine, one didn't even exist and he fixed the "6th" for $45. For the next 15 years every thing has been great. Make an appointment and they starts on that time and almost always finish the time they estimated. We've never had to go back for anything that wasn't done right. My last visit was just routine, but after all these years, I asked if they could adjust my dashboard so I can see a compass and see the air pressure in all 4 tires. I took it out, saw the compass but not the tire pressure. One of the mechanics actually took me out in my car, explained that it is not possible to see both at the same time, but they set it up so that all I had to do was hit 1 button to get to the pressure and hit it back for my compass. What a pleasure!!

So I went to AutoZone and they checked my battery and at first he said it was my battery and then he said my battery was fine and he thinks it was my starter. I called up three places and they all wanted over $900 for a starter. I called Best auto and the guy gave me a great price. He wanted $650, so my friend followed me there to drop my car off that afternoon ... a half hour later Yakir called me up and said I don't think it's your starter, I think it's just your battery... So he put in a new battery... Told me to pick my car up in 20 minutes... And said if it doesn't start tomorrow, it's your starter, but I really don't think it is... I think it was just the battery. Yakir was so honest .. This is my new auto mechanic. You can't find more honest people than Yakir at Best auto. My car has been working since.

Was told charge was ok yet fuse for blower blew possibly due to rust somewhere and was suggested a full replacement of compressor and condenser for $2250. Called local mechanic back home and told typically $1000-1200 job so had them change fuse only and paid $125. Two weeks later when traveled further north for a month the AC was not blowing cold again so took to another shop for which they did a recharge with dye to look for leaks yet could find none and paid them $100. They too advised if had to do full replacement of items mentioned be in the $1000 range so be cautious at this store. Been over two weeks and so far so good.

When I asked for an itemized statement (to make sure the discount I was promised was actually applied), he literally laughed and told me I "should know it is." I'm not sure why asking for clarity on a bill is funny, but last I checked, it's the customer service person's job to answer those questions, not the customer's job to assume. Thankfully the technicians seem to know their roles better than the guy representing them at the counter.
