He stands by his work. He replaced a timing belt on one of my vehicles and I notice a few days later that I was leaking oil from the front seal. I carried it back and he said the seal was not installed correctly. (one of his other mechanics did it.) He replaced it for free and it never leaked a drop of oil since. He had to pull the intake manifold off of my truck to replace a sensor. About 6 months later the sensor went bad again. He said that his work is guaranteed so he replaced it (faulty sensor) no charge. He does good work for a fair price and stands by his work. He never does work that you don't authorize. Buyer beware: Learn from my experience…read more I spent approximately a month shopping for an SUV before purchasing a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe from Cars99 in Wingate, NC on December 31, 2025. This vehicle stood out because the salesman, Mukesh, represented that the vehicle had been inspected and prepared for sale, including a tune-up and replacement of ignition components. Based on those representations, I felt comfortable purchasing the vehicle. Before purchasing the vehicle, I specifically asked what work had been performed to prepare it for sale. Mukesh stated that the vehicle had been inspected and serviced. I requested documentation to support his claims regarding the inspection, servicing, and parts allegedly replaced in preparation for sale. He told me he would speak with his mechanic and provide the information. After the transmission failed, I again requested documentation supporting the inspection and repair work that had supposedly been performed. He again promised to provide the information. Despite multiple requests, no documentation was ever provided. Within approximately 30 minutes of driving the vehicle home, the transmission began exhibiting problems. I immediately contacted Mukesh and explained what was happening. He told me that the vehicle had been inspected, that he had personally driven it, and that it was fine. He suggested that "maybe you are in the wrong gear." I advised him that I planned to drive the vehicle to the mountains the next day and that I was concerned about a breakdown. He again assured me that the vehicle was fine. The following day, while driving to the mountains, the transmission failed and became stuck in first gear. After arriving at my destination, I checked the transmission fluid and found that it appeared to be overfilled. I immediately notified Mukesh and informed him that I would be taking the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership for evaluation. On January 2, I took the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership in West Jefferson, North Carolina. I was advised that the transmission required replacement and was given an estimate of approximately $8,200. I immediately informed Mukesh of the diagnosis. His response was, "Of course the Chevrolet dealership will charge you $8,200. My mechanic will do it for $4,000." I ultimately obtained additional estimates and had the transmission replaced by an independent repair facility for $4,923.61 in an effort to minimize my damages. The repair facility documented that the transmission was overfilled and later provided a signed and notarized statement expressing the opinion that the transmission condition existed prior to my purchase and would not ordinarily develop within approximately 30 minutes of normal driving. I attempted to resolve the matter directly with Cars99, sent a formal demand letter by certified mail, filed complaints, and pursued legal remedies. On January 12, when I personally delivered a copy of the repair invoice to Mukesh, he stated, "It is OK. I didn't make any profit on this vehicle and you fixed it so it's OK." During that same visit, Mukesh stated that a mechanic had inspected the vehicle before it was sold. However, he refused to identify the mechanic or provide the name of the business. He called the mechanic on speakerphone and allowed me to speak with him. The mechanic initially stated that he had inspected everything and checked all fluids. When I pointed out that the transmission had been overfilled, he immediately changed his statement and said, "Oh, we didn't check the transmission." The mechanic also refused to provide his name, business name, or contact information. After more than six months of trying to resolve this matter, I remain responsible for the cost of replacing the transmission. I normally wouldn't post such details online but for this review I think it's important for consideration of others when buying from All City Auto. I was looking for a very specific type of vehicle across several states, a Porsche Cayenne GTS, even considered flying out to Vegas to look at one. My previous Cayenne got flooded in Hurricane Helene so on top of looking for the right vehicle we had our concerns of water damage for the next vehicle, we didn't want to purchase what we had just lost. This is a beautiful beast of machinery that runs so smoothly! Our travels span several states regularly and we've had no issues whatsoever. Now for the sales experience, I truly appreciate how smoothly everything went and it's actually one of the reasons we drove out of state twice to finalize our decision. The GTS is a very specific model and there aren't many in the used car market at a given time to choose from, especially considering the certain features we wanted. There was no pressure to purchase this vehicle. We were offered the freedom to take what time we needed to drive it and really get comfortable inspecting every square inch without being constantly hassled regarding whether we liked it or had made our decision. The high pressure sales/oversight literally pushed us away from two dealerships, sending up red flags due to urgency of purchase. All City did not do this which helped us feel at ease in making an informed decision on such a large purchase. When we came back for the second time a week later, having been to several other dealerships, our mind was pretty much made up. We test drove the vehicle again just to be sure, asked all our remaining questions and finished out paperwork by early morning/lunch time. Such a smooth transaction, other dealers could certainly take note. This is the experience people want when purchasing a vehicle, no amount of spamming text messages or phone calls are going to convince someone to spend this kind of money on a vehicle. Either we want it or we don't. High pressure sales aren't the way to go, especially in this day and age, if anything (and especially in our case) it's a turn off. Thank you All City! The ownership has told us that we "waited" too long to let them know there was an issue and we basically now have an $11,000 paper weight to decorate our driveway with when/if we get it home (not to mention the over $4,000 in repair work we had to have done to get other issues put right. In my opinion, I would not do business with these people again as they are unwilling to do the right thing and work with us to resolve the issue in a mutually beneficial manner. I shopped…read morearound, asked millions of questions and narrowed negotiations down to 3 dealerships, one was 3 hours away in Conway, SC and I was going to make a 6 hour round trip to buy there as they beat the price I got from Randy Marian Subaru, it wasn't by much, but I was going to make that trip on principle because the salesperson from Randy Marion that I was dealing with was being a smart @ $ $ and I didnt care for his attitude, and wanted to spend my money somewhere that appreciates my business and works hard to earn it. Thank goodness I decided to take one last look at local dealerships because I found that at Williams Subaru. They were very nice and answered so many questions without a hint of annoyance (I annoyed my own self with all my questions). I worked closely with the general sales manager, Arielle, at first, who is phenomenal and I can easily see why she is in that position. Then I worked with my salesperson Alyssa, who was equally amazing. They both have been blessed with patience to have survived through a customer like me! They respected my initial request for no phone calls, text and emails only as I was at work and cant be bombarded with multiple calls from multiple dealerships there. We worked 90% of the deal through text messages and they got me a great deal with the understanding I wasn't adding ANYTHING extra in finance. They were fine with that and did not push me at all. Once we worked the final deal, I talked to my husband and my son before coming and decided I was open to extended warranties, if I could get a good price, and I brought it up at financing. Tyler, my finance guy (who is the most "not pushy" finance guy you ever met) got me a great deal on a 8 yr/80,000 warranty and Security Plus (interior/exterior protection). I got rain guards and a $75 gift card for test driving the car, not to mention all the little cows they gave me. Ohhh, and it also saved me a 6 hour round trip to Conway to get the car I was going to get the following day. The one in Conway beat the price on the other one in Charlotte, Randy Marian, by a few hundred dollars, and I was going to make the trip on principle, and go out of my way, because of the way the salesman acted towards me at Randy Marian. I'm just so glad I took a second look and was led to Williams Subaru! I got the best deal of all 3, by far, and was treated very well, and it truly was the best car buying experience I've ever had! They are a great group of people, very efficient and I will refer them to anyone in the market I know, in the Charlotte, NC area. On a side note, my coworker asked me where I got my new Subaru this morning and when I told her she said she got her last one, the one she has now, there too. She feels the same way about Williams Subaru and the people who she's come across there. I haven't had any dealings with the service department yet of course, but she said she always brings her car for service there. She said they obviously have a low turnover because she always sees the same people back there and they are very fairly priced and great people to work with. So from front to back Williams Subaru is the best choice in the Charlotte area to buy a car from!​ I am very satisfied and extremely happy with my new car!!! Ask for Alyssa, you won't be disappointed!
