Ride To Walk provides horse riding therapy for people (mostly children) with disabilities. Dr. Corn is the founder and director who has dedicated her life to helping her clients improve their mobility, strength, confidence and independence. This program really helps people. It is a non profit and is completely dependent upon the generosity of the community.

No stars given to this place. Promises promises promises never any follow through... just a bunch of thumbs up e Don't complain about getting your horses stalls fixed..... 8 mos later still not fixed. Then it's the inconsistencies: Who's feeding, who knows what they are doing when filling into feed... water troughs are to be cleaned once a week-not happening, water troughs in the pasture have no water half the time... No one checks when putting horses out to pasture time...BUT they are trained to do so. Floaters not being replaced for months until someone complains...I bought the floaters and they said they are now fixed to return them and get my money back...it takes this to get them fixed. All 3 of my horses have lost weight due to what they think your horses need for feed. To top it off they raised the board fee by $150 starting August 1, 2023 and said they will no longer do blanketing in the winter and no fly mask in the summer. So let's raise the board fee with less services and inconsistencies - outrageous!!!

It's that time of the year again! Time for the Ranch Run, an annual VW car show put on to raise money for this facility. Situated on 21 rolling acres of Oak trees and a lake. Ride to Walk is a therapeutic horseback riding facility which provides flexibility, balance and muscle strength to children and adults with cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophy, attention deficit disorder, head trauma, and more. . Ride to Walk provides support to these individuals, parents/caregivers and the community. To date, there are currently six employees, 50 volunteers and nine horses. We have been coming to this VW car show which is sponsored by Niello Volkswagen for the last 5 years. With over 300 VW's and their owners participating to raise money and awareness to this worthwhile cause. On this day, the caravan started at Universal Technological Institute, the caravan sped off along the highway escorted by security officers along the highway to Lincoln. In the previous years, the caravan has been led by the California Highway Patrol, but not this year due to limited funding. Here at the show, you will see VW's worth $1000-$100,000. There are VW's and their owners here from all over California. There are raffles, live bands, food trucks and entertainment for the kids. Even if you aren't a VW owner, there is lots to see and do. There are paddle boats for rent and a fishing area. In order to continue the work, Ride to Walk is host to a number of other events. This majestic property is available for company picnics, weddings and lots of other outdoor events.

Very nice location in Penryn. Beautiful horses and scenery. If you have a horse, check out this place for boarding.

ReStore Foothills Habitat For Humanity

A few weeks ago my mom was really excited to check this place out, as she had heard there was a lot…read moreof stuff she could turn into projects. ReStore is nothing like any other thrift store I've been to. They don't have much of what you'd see at a normal thrift. This does seem like it's great for contractors though. They have a ton of home supplies here. We picked up a new dryer vent and a couple bowls. Prices were cheaper than retail and the profits go to Habitat for Humanity. When I go thrifting I like to look for things like vintage tech, clothing, video games, board games, trinkets, collectible, etc. ReStore does not carry any of those items here. But if you're looking for home stuff like doors, windows, furniture, lamps, tools, toilets, wood, fake trees, paint, and stuff like that, then this is the place for you! My mom enjoyed this place, I wasn't a big fan. It was a huge building but I felt like they could have fit more inside of it. A lot of the shelves were barely filled, and the ones that were all had dozens of the exact same item on it. There just wasn't that variety I had hoped for. Some items were little Christmas trees but had been up charged to being 10$. We had literally just seen them at dollar tree for 1/4 of the price. They also don't accept cash here which isn't a problem for me, but all the people who were in line in front of me were older and were upset that they couldn't pay in cash. Overall, it just isn't a place I'd recommend. It was ok, but if I lived by it and worked as a contractor then maybe this would be a place I'd enjoy more.

Really disappointing experience here. Brought me to tears with how I was treated. They are highly…read moreunreasonable when it comes to selling individual floral pieces. It was either- buy multiple vases of florals (totaling $33) of which I only wanted a few pieces from either vase- and donate back what I didn't want- or leave with nothing. It's sad that they aren't able to work with customers who want to give their money to this establishment. I would not recommend this place after being treated like a common criminal for swapping similar florals out for what I actually wanted.

It's not as big as the other one was which was disappointing, but oh well. It's a small thrift store that had a lot of various pieces here. A small book section, clothes, a few pieces of furniture, etc etc. The best part is that the sales go towards the SPCA, so you can feel good about helping animals while finding something for cheap. They even had a back room with some pet furniture too! Prices were pretty cheap too! There were some things that were being charged more than what they're worth, but that's always the case at a second hand store. The majority was a great deal which is what matters the most. Staff was friendly and made up entirely of volunteers. They were happy to talk to us whenever we had questions about an item, but otherwise were pretty hands off in terms of letting us shop, which I appreciated. It's not the best thrift store I've ever been to, but it's far from the worst too. Check them out if you've got time, it's easy to get in and out of quickly too.

The prices were very decent and the place was clean. I didn't see a dressing room which is also nice when clothes are the main thing to be purchased, but it was still very nice. I would look and then all of a sudden there was another room or another area with more stuff. That was awesome. Looks small, but is actually a very decent size for a thrift store.

Proceeds of this place goes to helping cats and providing low fee or free services. The store itself is small but it has so much packed in. There are items for your cat family, clothing for men and women, shoes, lots of purses, lots of jewelry, DVDs, CDs, books, cookbooks, appliances, furniture, and more. I wish I took more pictures because mine do not do it justice. They also have a lot of sales and the prices are already low. Sometimes they have free items in front of the store. After I look at everything, I drop off my basket by the cashier and go into the cat cafe, champys. There is comfortable seating and cat toys you can use to engage with the kitties. It's a nice dopamine hit after shopping. I highly recommend this place for the variety and great prices. It's a bonus that it's for a good cause and you can play with cats too.

The entire place was Christmas merchandise except for the back room which had cooking stuff in it. This is the room I found a beautiful collectible cookbook set for $25 and it now rests in my kitchen on display. All the other products we saw seemed to be fairly affordable and cheap, only problem is that my mom and I really don't go thrifting to find Christmas stuff. There were no clothes, furniture, tech, shoes, art, or fun trinkets and weird stuff. We were in and out very quickly. We will be back in the future to see what the store is normally like, as we assume it was only like that due to being right before Christmas. Staff was friendly, building was clean, and they managed to fit a decent amount of stuff inside. It doesn't seem like a place I would drive half an hour to, but if this is your local thrift then it seems nice. Definitely will be back soon to see what it's like outside of the holidays.

But, they make up for it with a great selection of home goods and they had an abundance of holiday items for sale. I found their prices to be extremely reasonable and they offer discount tags to reduce the prices even further for some items. Parking was pretty easy and I scored a small artificial tree with lights at a good price.

It was kind of sad, either they really don't like working the jewelry counter or I felt like they had some kind of preconception or stereotype about my mom (or me, who knows.). It definitely put a damper on the shopping experience. This is one of the cleaner goodwills I've been too. The racks are sorted nicely and almost color coded. All the sizes are separated well without being mixed up. There wasn't a lot of things cluttered on the shelves or on the floors. They keep the bathrooms locked and they were fairly clean. I can appreciate them having a sharps container so if sharps are being used they don't end up on the floor or anywhere else. Overall we found some good stuff. I just wish the employees were nicer. They at least had a nice clothing selection and were an average size for a goodwill. I'm not sure why they had to get rid of the dressing rooms, but I hope they bring them back sometime. The staff were okay. They were not exactly friendly, but kind of working with a "blah" energy. Still they were helpful and at least nice. I would still recommend this thrift store to others.
