Santa Experience at Ridge Hill. I do not recoommend. The lines are long. Walk ups are given the same priority s those of us who are forced to pay for a package online in order to make a reservaiton. Basically, having a reservation is useless. It does not guarantee a space. 15-mminute lines are untrue. I waited on line with people ahead of me who had a reservation AFTER mine, and people behind me who didn't make any reservation. Then the manager came out to basically scold people for waiting on line incorrectly. They SHOULD have a tent set up with a check in booth, and you go check in and are called when it is your turn. If you don't have a reservation, then they check if a spot is opened and THAT is when you can come back. It is VERY unfair that people who did not pay get to wait on line with people who paid $39-$75 online, and force those of us who have paid to wait even longer. Go if you don't care about waiting an hour, or even 2-3 hours in the afternoons because the wait time starts piling up. If you have kids who wait on line nicely, good for you. read more

What a disappointment. Inescapable, too-loud, annoying pop music from speakers on the sidewalk somehow make the long walks feel even longer. Discourteous drivers completely ignoring pedestrian right-of-way in crosswalks. Other drivers making k-turns in the middle of each block, every block you see this going on. Amazing setting on a hill but as far as the view from a place like the windowed seating area at Whole Foods, you might as well be in an alley or underground. What a shameful waste of setting. UGH... So my friends and I wanted to get the RIDGE HILL MALL EXPERIECE!..and did we ever... SECURITY GUARDS are ON CRACK OR FROM RIKERS IS. and they have the nerve to be rude! This mall would be fine if not for the parking. Everyone complains about the parking. For $4, EV cars should be able to charge. The anti-EV attitude of many of the people I talked with at security and management is terrible (compare this to Cross County, who were more than enthusiastic about letting EVs park and charge). If Ridge Hill installs some J-1772 chargers or changes their outlet policy, I will alter this review. read more

My previous review of this mall only gave it one star because of what I felt to be unfair parking ($3.25 for the first 6 hrs, even if you are only dropping by to pick up something). I've stopped by recently, and in the lot where I parked, I see that the mall now has the first 20 minutes waived. I think it could be extended a little more (you could spend that long in a check-out line), but at least there is an option. I have adjusted my rating to be higher, as I still believe this mall has good potential. The view's nice, and the outdoor layout is walker friendly and inviting. They do a good job of interspersing restaurants with clothing stores with other little shops with places for kids to hang out. read more

This review is about the Dreamworks Santa Experience at the mall. Today I took mini me and two of her cousins to see Santa at Ridge Hill Mall. I took mini me last year and gave them a lot of leeway because I was told it was the first year. I figured it takes time to work out kinks. I didn't complain about waiting an hour when I had a reservation. I didn't complain about having to visit with Santa twice because they didn't realize that the video camera wasn't working and the video that I had prepaid for wasn't saved. I chalked it all up to growing pains. This year I figured we would give them a chance to show how much they have grown. I also figured since the wait is outdoors it best to get it done early. A lot of other parents figured the same. When we got there 10 minutes early for our reservation the line was practically reaching the street. After waiting over an hour we barely reached the stanchions (ropes) set up. About ten minutes later one of the managers comes out and apologizes individually to everyone in line. She offers a free photo sheet for our inconvenience. She tells us that there had been some type of leak that caused some damage but they were able to get everything working again and it shouldn't be much longer. About a half hour later me and my family are the next to go into the house. While waiting inside we are told mini me will have to sit on my lap because they want to start moving the line and squeeze another family in. Mini me was not feeling it and neither was I. I get that people were tired and frustrated for being outside in the cold. But guess what so was my family. I paid for the photo package and the experience since I wasn't given the option to just do the experience. Mini me was adamant about not sitting on anyone's lap. Fortunately the family they squeezed in was all adults and an infant so we made it work and mini me was able to site by herself. The children enjoyed the rocket game to get their pilot licenses. It was pretty much a temple run game in the snow. For some reason my nephew's pilot license was not included on my USB and I didn't realize it until I got home. Next we took the 3D sleigh ride. It was my favorite part. This is where mini me was supposed to sit on my lap. After we are led to a santa's elves' workshop. They can design gingerbread men here. Somehow my niece's gingerbread didn't make it onto the USB. The room was like a sauna. It had to feel at least 85 degrees in this space. And there were at one point five families in it waiting to see Santa. Of course with two families ahead of us the computer that saves the pictures stops working. We must have waited at least another 40 minutes in that room as the elf that was stationed there almost had a breakdown because she was overwhelmed by having so many people waiting and nothing to do with us. When we finally got in to see Santa the visit lasted maybe 5 minutes. They did not include Santa asking my children what they wanted in the video. Again something I didn't know until I got home. When we get taken to the retail shop (your final stop on the trip) they tried to tell me I hadn't paid for the top package and wasn't going to receive everything. After I kindly informed the elf to check again he apologized. Then he told me that they couldn't give me the 8x10 that was included in my package because they didn't have that size. He also almost forgot to give me my stuffed gingerbread and dvd that's included in the package. Suffice to say we will not be trying Ridge Hill for a third year. It's a shame because mini me enjoyed the sleigh ride and some of the experience but I can't even begin to imagine what the wait will be next time. We will stick with Macy's. I think it is a shame that at no time when they realized that they were two hours plus behind schedule no one gave us the option to reschedule or receive a refund. Also, there was so much talk about needing a reservation yet one of the families ahead of me told me while waiting in line that they hadn't made an advance reservation. I feel swindled and frustrated by the experience. read more

First off, I must say that I am really happy that Westchester is getting more shopping developments. We definitely neglected to have a lot of the stores that Ridge Hill provides, so it is nice to have the shopping in the neighborhood. It also is in a location that is much closer for me personally to go to rather than to schlep to White Plains to buy clothing or go out to eat. That being said, there have been some negatives that I find very true. The first is obviously the parking. I understand the rationale behind charging money to park, but the amount they charge is ridiculous. Sometimes I actually won't go because I don't want to pay the money to cover the parking and would rather drive the extra couple miles to other locations of the stores they have. Also, here is my major problem: this place is great in the summer. Such a nice place to go to at night, with all of the restaurants and bars open, with all the aura of the shopping village itself, however this is great when it is warm. Going in the winter is another story. To walk around from place to place in 30 degree weather is brutal, especially if you have to go from Whole Foods to Yard House. It simply is not going to happen. Either you have to move your car and pay the exorbitant amount of money for parking or you are going to have to walk and freeze the whole way there. And my guess is the trolley won't be at the exact place at the exact time you are leaving to get from one place to another. I do though really like a lot of the stores there - Francesca's and REI are some of my favorites. They are also adding some more restaurants and stores as well. I am hoping for some good ones. read more

I've been to this shopping Center a couple of times now and I love this place! It can be a little confusing getting around but it's a nice place to do a little shopping or store browsing as I like to do and have lunch or dinner. I took my 3 year old for his birthday on the 4th of july only to find out 3 days later that he got a viral infection called Cox Sackie virus. For a place that charges so much, they should care more about our kid's health. Learn how to sanitize and clean all those toys daily. Doctor said he got it there since he has only been home and its usually contracted from a place like this were lots of kids go and doesn't get sanitized. Now he has a rash on his mouth, foot and hands, and fever ohh and achy body for atleast a week. I wonder how many kids got sick there this week. I will never take them there again even tho i bought a family yearly pass. read more

This mall is a joke all the way up to management. To begin with the constant commotion going one with cops arresting people in the middle of the mall. You have drivers recklessly making u-turns in front of security guards and they do nothing. You have mall management which I witnessed try and pick fights with workers in front or customers and guests coming into the area this has happened more then one occasion. But they are clean and they are very friendly here just need to clean up the slack on some professionalism here and then I'd recommend people to shop here aside for there not being well designated areas for a public bathroom. read more

I might be in the minority here, but I do NOT like this place. At the risk of sounding new age-y, I do not like the energy here. I don't like the choppy set up of different parking lots and I don't like the people. (Hmm I sound terrible I know.) I don't even like the Whole Foods. How does a brand new Whole Foods not have a Juice Bar?!? I would much rather go to The Westchester or Greenwich to hit up Sephora. I would rather go to the Galleria for H&M. I've lived in Westchester all my life, and we needed a new mall like a hole in the head. Shopping malls dying all around us; there is absolutely no need for the same exact chain stores just a few miles apart! We are big shoppers, meaning we go several times a week to Lord & Taylor (not Ridge Hill, either!) Ann Taylor, Bloomies and many more shops. To make us pay for parking on top of spending money makes us not want to ever go back. This is not the city...this is still Westchester, and parking should be free or maximum $1! The people that frequent Ridge Hill....let's just say it's the same reason we don't go to the Bronx. read more

It's worth noting that the Subway restaurant is a cheap place to eat here now if you need a bite. You can also grab a pretzel at the Auntie Anne's stand or head into Whole Foods and buy stuff from the hot bar and sit and eat there too. read more

I'm on the fence about this mall. I like the outdoor shopping in the summer, but curious how business goes in the winter. I don't really understand the outdoor shopping in areas where you get a lot of snow and bitter wind in the winter. I was also not found of having to cross traffic to navigate from store to store. Like I said I like the outdoor shopping when the weather is nice. I have been to the theater a few times and it's always been a pleasant experience. Nice and clean, but it was during the day. The movie theater and the medical building are the only things that really draw me in. The other stores are just "meh". While I do love Whole Foods, I don't love it enough to pay and extra parking fee to shop there on a regular basis. That pretty much goes for any of the other stores there as well. I was thinking of joining the gym there, but not only would I have the dues, I would have to pay for parking each time as well. You build a mall that is required to drive to and then charge to park your car. I didn't even know some of the stores validated tickets, but like the other review said, I very seldom see attendants at the exits. I have no intentions of going there to shop unless I am heading to the doctor's office or perhaps killing time before a movie. read more

The problems with this mall or so solvable, it is incredulous that management cannot figure it out. And it's not the $3.00 all day parking charge. Given that you own a car (likely with car payments) and pay for insurance and gas, stop complaining about the puny $3.00. And many stores validate. Here are the solutions to the problems: 1) Put up clear and large signs. If you are a first time (or second or third time) visitor, you will have a hard time finding the stores you are looking for. 2) For goodness sakes, get rid of the ridiculous parking system. It took a real rocket scientist to devise this to try to save money on labor. They created long backups of cars because inevitably, someone can't get out and there's nobody there for assistance. How many customers do you want to alienate? Either change to the old-fashioned method of someone taking cash (like The Westchester), or have somebody stand there at all hours to provide assistance to those who get stuck. RIDGE HILL MANAGEMENT - do you bother to read Yelp? And if they do solve these problems, you have a very nice outdoor mall with stores ranging from downscale to upscale on sunny days blows away being in any indoor mall. And the nearby Cross County Shopping Center, which was nicely renovated, is decidedly low-end and provides few choices for many. read more

This place is going to be great! Opened last fall with a small taste of what it's going to be. Great shopping, great restaurants and overall a great place to hang out. Nothing like anything that currently exists in Westchester County. I'll add a star once a few more restaurants and stores get opened this spring. read more

I love Ridge Hill! It is so clean and organized and has many stores I love. It's great not seeing trash on the ground while walking through there. They have Dicks Sporting Goods, REI and TJ Maxx! There's also a Smoothie King! Great stores I always go too and there's Whole Foods for healthy eats and shopping. It's not trashed like other malls and its outdoor so it's great just to walk around. read more

A nice array of restaurants is a huge reason for coming here, and the only reason for me besides the movie theater. I could care less about any of the stores except for maybe Wholefoods. Texas de Brazil, Yardhouse, and Havana Central are all great places to eat, and they have a Cheesecake Factory and an Italian place called Brio I know nothing about. The movie theater is okay..its brand-spanking new and the seats are roomy, but already overrun on the weekends by teenyboppers. read more

This isn't 100% finished yet but I think when it is it will be a 5 star complex. There's a huge selection of restaurants (although some are hit or miss but that's not the mall's fault). Tons of stores - Apple, Bath and Body Works, The Limited, White House Black Market, Sur La Table, Sephora. The Lord and Taylor is a little crummy and there are some other stores that I wouldn't necessarily die without but they're nice to have there. Staff in almost all of the stores is pretty helpful and nice and polite. The Whole Foods is very nice (still not my favorite Whole Foods but it does it's job in a pinch) and the movie theater is really nice. Overall a pretty nice addition to the area. read more

Ridge Hill is cute and has a good amount of stores. The main reason for coming here is for the restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory, Texas de Brazil, Yard House, and Havana Central. I like the little small town feel that they tried to put out but for shopping I think you'd be better off going to the Palisades Mall. read more

I am reading a lot of complaints about parking, but when did paying $3 become such a big issue compared having a beautiful, CLEAN new place to shop? you pay for what you get. I love the fact that this mall is adding a fresh, new look to Yonkers. Its not a ghetto looking mall with people hanging out in front of stores, or shops looking too disgusting to even want to enter. I use to be a cross county shopper because I lived close by, but I am definitely more of a Ridge hill fan. The place is still under development, so i'm sure they will probably add a Starbucks or cafe. they did open elevation burger which is awesome! And the fact that a Dave and Busters will be there and I don't have to travel all the way to the city or palisades anymore to go to one, is a plus! The different variety of stores and supermarket i find to be perfect for the area. If you are looking for a more commercial place to shop, then cross county is your best bet. But like i said, you pay for what you get. And for cross county, that would be smokers as well, people hanging out in front of stores, crazy lines, nasty people including employees, and the list goes on. Ridge hill gives a very west cost vibe that i think is awesome, especially during summertime. read more

I don't understand why would you say to make an appointment and not be ready when I arrive at 2:57... My appointment was for 3pm and I wasn't seen until 3:20pm. It seriously deserves 0 star!!!! Ridge Hill has really grown on me since it's opened, but it's not perfect. First of all, don't ask me to pay for parking. I have a real problem with forking over $3 (or more) to pay for the privilege of shopping?! What sense does that make? Maybe it's because I grew up in NJ and never once paid for parking at a mall, but I really don't understand how businesses expect to attract repeat shoppers if there is a surcharge every time they come there. The Westchester Mall is guilty of this offense as well--one of many reasons I despise that place. Yes, the layout is extremely confusing. I think it's become slightly better since more stores have entered the mix but, still, very difficult to navigate if you've never been there before. Anyway, the mix of stores and restaurants is good, which is why I keep coming back. REI, Orvis, Dick's, TJ Maxx (great selection) plus the stores I would begrudgingly visit the mall for in the past like Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Lord & Taylor and Bath & Body Works. And, of course, Whole Foods. Honestly, I think this Whole Foods has completely replaced the Whole Foods in White Plains for me...uncrowded, well-stocked, better selection and bigger. Basically everything the other WF is not! I have only been to the Greek restaurant which just opened their third location (based in Tarrytown). Amazing food. I like the ridge hill mall. This review is for the Victoria's Secret there because there is no yelp page for it. It would be nice if they get employees that actually know about the Victoria's Secret products, you know because they are working for the company. I asked more than 2 of the girls working there questions about the perfume I was looking for. None of them knew the answer. They didn't know if they carried it anymore, they didn't know if it was the same formula as the old one from years ago, they just replied I don't know. I asked about another perfume, and got an answer that made no sense, and didn't even answer my question. Then when I asked the question again because it wasn't answered I got an attitude from the girl in response. Sigh read more

Good shopping center but lacking variety. They have some of the higher end stores but are still missing quite alot of others. This place is very clean and mostly courteous staff working here. I didn't base this 3 star on the parking as anyone should know that most stores will validate your parking such as Whole Foods. I will have to agree that the street parking security people are annoying but I'm assuming they're this way to force people to not block traffic and go park in the lot. read more
