The line wasn't too long, and once you get used to the layout, it's pretty easy to get around. Costco is simply the best. They offer excellent prices, good products and the store is clean and easy to navigate. Self check out is great. Fruits are wonderful as are eggs and meats. There is nothing to not like about the Costco experience including their tire center. Executive members now enter early. Hours are until 8:30pm. They take back returns. They have a rebate program. Pleasant time at Costco when we need to fill our household with the basics, paper items and things that have no expiration date to them. However on a weekend afternoon, this spot is definitely busy! However there are multiple food and drinks stops along the way that keeps things light and fun. Love that they have tasting stations sprinkled through the store so it was fun to find one and run over. I come here on the weekends usually I try to be there when they open at 9:30am or no later than 10:30am. Usually this helps me avoid the crazy long lines everyone is complaining about here. Costco is nice they have a food court inside with great options and cheap prices. They also have sample food vendors around the floor. I love that Costco has everything but they do sell in bulks so sometimes you don't need 16 pomegranates or else they may go bad. Also I find that some of the vegetables and fruits are really expensive. However, the quality of the products I would say is one of the freshest I've seen. Although I do prefer BJS because of there coupon books I do get to save a lot. Costco only has like discounted items which is not so bad as well but not as many deals. I would definitely still come back the food court has some yummy food and they have a great selection of "ready to bake" food for example they have pre made lasagna ready to go in the oven which is delicious! And a food court that still serves the biggest hot dog and a drink with refills for just a $1.50 They also have a clothing section as well as a small media section, furniture is sold seasonally and roadshows pop up demo products. The worst customer service experience. They have three people to do customer returns and one person to do membership information. I'm waiting to get my membership information and have been on long for over 30 minutes mind you they opened at 10:00 am. I was just asked if I needed assistance by a guy name Derrick, and then he went back to helping the people he was helping . Multitasking is definitely not a requirement to work here. Costco is my favorite warehouse chain when compared to its competitors. They carry the products I like, have good deals, and provide nice perks to their members. I'm lucky in the sense that I have three of them within a 15 minute drive from me, so wherever I am I can go to the one most geographically convenient. Why two stars you say? Well, out all the Costcos in Westchester (New Rochelle, Port Chester, and here in Yonkers), this is my least favorite of the three. Most of my disdain for this particular location has to do with the parking and lack of extra features. For example, the Costco in New Rochelle has a gas station attached to it, and the Costco in Port Chester has two levels and an expanded selection of merchandise. What does Yonkers Costco have? Nothing but headaches. Parking is always a nightmare from hell. The warehouse is located high on a hill in a complex with Stew Leonard's and Home Depot. As such, there is usually always traffic on the weekends trying to reach the lot. The fun doesn't end there, though - Yonkers Costco features a relatively small upper level lot along with another lot of equal size down below. While there is no shortage of spots overall, people seem to love the challenge of trying to find a spot up top because there is ALWAYS drama on the main parking level. I can't deal - so I just go right down to the lower level where there are a plethora of spots waiting for me; easy, breezy, beautiful lower level parking. If you're going to give me palpitations in the parking lot, you better give me a gas station or killer merchandise selection. This Costco gives neither - it's a lose-lose. read more

My wife and I went to Costco this morning after not going there since the Coronavirus changed our shopping habits . I needed new glasses and while I considered going to a local eye glass store, I felt a loyalty to Thierry who has been taking care of me for many years. Costco's optical department has changed radically. I had my temperature taken and was asked a series of health related questions before I was allowed to enter the gated area of where the glasses are displayed. I was the only customer allowed in and I was impressed by how careful the staff treated me. I've read about how Costco is good to their employees but today I decided to ask a few of them about their personal job experiences. I spoke to Thierry, who worked in the optical department and has been with the Costco for over fifteen years! He told me how much he loves his job, how great his benefits are and how he has absolutely no complaints about how he and the other staff members are treated. As a consumer, I'm always looking for reasons to be reassured that even if I'm paying less, I'd like to think that the people who work for a particular business are making a livable wage. So I usually love going to Costco but I don't enjoy going to this particular one but this is the one that is the closest to me. This Costco is not well stocked and it's not as organized as other Costco's I've been to. The customer service section is always packed and the lines a super long. I think the store is short staffed and they are in need of more workers. I think the eggs and milk section should have a better selection and sometimes the meat section is lacking. Overall, Costco provides good prices and love coming here to buy most of the household replenishables and food since I can save money especially now that I have two almost teenage boys. PARKING ISSUE!!! This is to warn people for parking on the lower level that is underground. Stains of what looks like cement dripped all over my brand new, one week old SUV from the garage ceiling. I went there today at 8:30 AM and there was a line down the entire length of the parking lot which is about two or three city blocks or more. It was raining. I saw many seniors standing in the middle of that line in the rain...some with walkers ....others with canes and there was no relief.... I asked the cop at the door if the disabled seniors could be brought forward to the front and he replied "no, i am only following orders." Shame on you, Costco! You have to come here either when they first open or when they are about to close because everyday, during the entire day, soccer moms fill up the aisles and it is just TOO busy. They often have free samples which are just the best. Before you automatically assume that their stuff comes out cheaper, do your research. Some items are cheaper elsewhere. We usually get our toilet paper, towel paper, juices, water and toothpaste from here. They sell in bulk. I've also noticed that some of the cashiers just have the crappiest attitudes and it sometimes makes me want to tell them to go back to school so they can CHOOSE their profession more wisely if they can't handle being courteous to the consumer. If after shopping and being on line for hours made you hungry, they have a snack bar with very good prices. Hot dogs, sausages, pizzas, smoothies and even churros! Nice end to dodging bad cart drivers. They also have a nice spirits store attached and they also offer free samples from time to time. Stew Leonards, right up the hill, most likely will have a better deal on alcohol, though, so shop around. If you go here with someone who has a membership card and you don't, bring cash or a debit card because they won't let you use a credit card. read more

One young lady without mask touching everything, even putting items on her nose, and she kept talking to her friends (even talked to a few Costco employees, but the employees didn't say anything). This review is exclusively for the tire center. Called yesterday to make an appointment to get 4 new tires for my wifes KIA. After 3 calls of endless ringing somebody answered the phone. I explained to him I would like to make an appointment to which he said hold on. He put me on hold and after about 30 seconds the phone just started ringing again. Once again, nobody answered. I finally called Yonkers Cosco and talked to an associate. He told me he was sorry to hear my problem, asked me for my number and he was going to personally run it out to them and i should hear from somebody within 10 minutes. Nobody ever called me back. I haven't been to Costco in a while and I had forgotten what a madhouse it is. The parking lot, the aisles, the registers, the snack stand... madness and chaos. They do, however, have some great deals. I found some adidas joggers for $19.99 and some Levi jeans for $29.99 (the jeans are probably not such a great deal now that I think about it). The snack stand also offers some great bargain meals. Today, I had a slice of their pizza and a salad. $6 for a huge New York style slice and a (to quote George Costanza) BIIIG salad!
