My only complaint is that here are a Cheesecake Factory, Brio, Havana Central and another place. You will not find a McDonald's, or any another fast food restaurant yet in this mall. I mean after shopping at many of these stores, and no pizzeria, a Chinese, Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Au bon pain etc is disappointing. I say this place has potential as I saw a lot of empty lots had construction going on and that is very promising. Will return in a few months to update the review. Was in the area with my husband and decided to try Brio. Very friendly staff and the service was good. I ordered Lobster Bisque and a caesar salad...the soup was good but the salad was horrible. The menu says something like "with our homemade croutons"...the salad showed up with one crouton so the server took it back for some more. Once I took a bite of the salad I realized this was a horrible salad...the lettuce wasn't fresh and I they gave me all the ends of the Romaine...it had blobs of dressing on it and it really had no taste. This salad was not made with love at all. The waiter took it back and asked if I wanted something else and at that point I just said no...he took it off the bill. I doubt I will ever go back to this place. read more

I'm not a big fan of malls in general so my review is biased to the negative to begin with, but this place has some big design flaws that I was surprised to see in a brand new development. First of all, why is there heavy car traffic flowing right through the center of this thing? That road should be for pedestrian traffic only. You want to come and relax, do some shopping and instead you and your kids have to play a game of wits with giant SUVs making crazy turns across your path. Not fun. On top of that the sidewalks are these narrow little ribbons that tend to get clogged with 'larger American' families strolling along 3 wide oblivious that there are people behind them trying to get around them ... Look I like the idea of a slow paced walk down the row of shops which is why they should open that road for pedestrian traffic only, and keep cars around the perimeter directed into and out of the parking areas. Speaking of parking, obviously it's ridiculous to be charged. On top of that you take your life in your hands once you leave the car and become a pedestrian afterthought. There is no clear path out of the garage and I found myself stuck against a wall flanked by 2 blind corners hoping I could get across the street before the next insane escalade driver came barreling down the ramp. When you finally emerge from the garage you're hit with some obnoxious piped in pop music on the street that i guess is supposed to be festive. Further along the sidewalk you hit the Hagen Dazs line which extends out to block your path making the only recourse a squishy trip through a soggy patch of grass ... Pros- the LL Bean and Cuban restaurant are nice and I like the plaza with the fountain. read more

Parking Daily Rates: Up to 6 hours Monday - Thursday $3 Friday - Sunday $4 A while ago, Ridge Hill greedily raised their already high parking fees, ridding of the 30 minute grace period. Not knowing this, I ended up paying FOUR DOLLARS to spend 20 minutes in Sephora. I frequently visited Ridge Hill prior to this, but that was the last straw. Cross County is free parking. Ridge Hill should be as well. I'd be shocked if retailers were not feeling the impact of customers going elsewhere. If I want to spend an hour shopping at H&M, etc., I'll drive the extra 5 minutes down to Cross County. Also, if you want to pick up takeaway from any of the restaurants, there is no where to put your car other than in the garage ($$) or parking illegally. Cheesecake Factory has TWO curbside pickup spots. Down by Starbucks/Lefteris/Yard House there are zero. Who designed this place? Aside from the management companies self-destructing business decisions surrounding parking- the complex itself needed to be made pedestrian only. Having traffic running through the center causes so much unnecessary backups and is dangerous. read more

Somehow my mom, brother, and I find ourselves here every single time I'm home to visit. It's so close to our house, and always a pleasant experience! The assortment of shops and restaurants is solid, and the area is always kept clean and attractive. My favorite time to visit is around the holidays because they always have holiday music blasting and wonderful decorations everywhere. We've always been able to find parking, even on a busy day as there are several different lots around. The stores do get crowded, especially around the holidays, so try and get there early! I look forward to trying out more of the restaurants and checking out the movie theater! read more

I enjoy shopping in the his space. They have a lot of stores I enjoy. They have a paid parking lot and a few food options. There is also a movie theater and a supermarket. You can easily spend a few hours here eating and shopping. There is also a big Apple store but you might want to make an appointment rather than just stopping by. read more

I like this outdoorsy mall. The mall is still being filled with stores. Everyone is friendly and helpful from the people directing traffic to the workers in the stores and restaurants. It's pretty far from where I live so the next time I come visit, I need to allot more time to explore the upper levels of the mall. Recently constructed mall so everything is new and fresh. Plenty of parking spots in the garage but traffic can be quite overwhelming en route. It's $3 parking all day. You can get it stamped at most of the restaurants if you stay for 3 hrs or less. There are tjmaxx, REI, Banana Republic, Uniqlo, container store, lord and Taylor Sephora etc etc. apparently only until recently they finally filled up all the stores. There are also the anchor chain restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory, Havana Central etc. it's a great place to pass time on a lovely afternoon. The stores, especially Uniqlo, is not too crowded and actually carry the sizes I need. read more

This review is specific to "Dicks Sporting Goods at Ridge Hill" and does not apply to the mall in general. I would have given it 0 stars but the girl at the register was very nice. Their customer service was "non-existent". We pushed a button for help to simply open the door to the dressing room and waited a very very very long time. What made it worse was TWO different employees said they'd come back with a key. We finally had to get the manager to do it himself. We told the manager what happened and I felt sorry for him but do not put yourself thru this. There are other places to shop. read more

I like this mall, but it being an outdoor mall and still making customer paying for parking it's a big no-no. I wish they could build an indoor mall and something like an outlet mall because the layout and stores that Ridge Hill has now it is too similar to cross county. Unfortunately the up levels of parking are very unsafe, there are people using drugs in the stairs and they also drink and urinate all over the place. Since we pay for the parking, kind makes sense to have security all around to avoid this kind of problem. The main problem with this mall is the same problem that Cross County has - the clientele they attract - too much ghetto kinda people. I think the parking charge is to filter a bit the type of customer, but it's not working very well. I don't see a solution for this problem, unless they raise the parking fee to something like $15-20, but not even me would pay that price to go there, I would rather drive somewhere else to shop. Instead so many buildings designed to parking, they could try to bring some different stores to fill up that space and have security in the remaining ones, perhaps this would get rid of the drug users that are around, by the volume of cars, people and security. OK I love this mall it has a bit of everything I wish it had a dome for the hard winter days cause i hate the cold. I love this place. It is so clean and free from riff-raff. I like that they have "different" stores. Yes, they have Old Navy and Children's Place but they also have REI, Dick's Sporting Goods, The Container Store (one of my favs), Whole Foods, Apple store, Charming Charlie, Sur La Table, LL Bean...stores that are not normally in my neighborhood. I don't understand about people complaining about parking. You have to pay to park everywhere. No I don't agree with the concept of having to pay to shop but it almost seems like the norm now. At least it is $3.00 all day (for now) and according to the website "up to 30 minutes complimentary." Positives: They have family bathrooms that are relatively clean. Yay! I think they have a baby changing table. The have a little playground for the kiddies. I feel safe here. Then again I am not here late at night so... Negatives: It is an outdoor mall. I am reluctant to go shopping in 20 degree weather. They don't have too much fast food around here. Some people don't have the time or money for a sit down meal. Auntie Anne's had recently closed and now the booth is opened as a Nathan's. I miss Auntie Anne's. A Cinnabon would be nice too. I would not suggest this mall to someone who has mobility problems. The stores are not so great and the outdoor layout is horrendous. You are exposed to the elements and have to careful of slippry and icy areas in the winter. They lack thel selection a mall should have I wanted to try the restaurants on the lower level, but it was just raining to hard and there is no canopy to protect you. There's a gym here, restaurants, and a medical facility, but why put up with the hassle of coming here? It needs a dome for the hard winter and rainy days. Why didn't they just build a nice regional enclosed mall where you can buy stuff with out getting your purchases all wet as you cross streets to get to the parking garage. You have to pay $3.00 to park with a clumsy automated gate control system that confesses first time visitors and holds up the line to leave the shopping center disaster. The place needs better directional signage. It like a prettier version of the cross county shopping center, but even more inconvenient. While all the other malls were mobbed with holiday shoppers, this place was a ghost town on a lonely December Sunday. I hope it stays this way. It made holiday shopping much more efficient and easy! the miroza is a there is marijuana joints in the elevator most of the time from the tenants or their guests smoking marijuana in the building and a poor managed building. I have never lived in a place like this so close luxury is more like broken down building. no wonder nobody is renting the apartment and they are vacant they even drop the rent on a two bedroom from 5000 to 3800 that just goes to show you that people do not want to live here. The first day I moved in things were already broken in the building and it took forever for them to fix it. somebody moved upstairs for me and I hear every footstep is poorly insulated. There is marijuana joints in the elevator most of the time from the tenants or their guest smoking marijuana in the building. I honestly think there should be a security guard on deck because this building is very threatening the people that are guest here are not nice people or friendly. The funny thing is is that tenants that live here paying for amenities but half the time the tenants cannot use any other amenities because of non-residence using it. and to think that they're making a building right next-door to this place just makes me laugh if nobody wants to live in this building why would they wanna live next-door?! lol it's one big joke here. read more

Their parking system annoys me. $3 parking for all day is cool and all but I only stay there for like an hour every time I go so I feel like I'm wasting money. Good for people who like to shop all day but they should have an option of paying less for people who doesn't like to shop all day long. Also, they charged me TWICE for my parking. So total of $6 for one hour stay. I pre-paid at the machine so I don't have to pay when I leave, but they asked for my credit card when I was about to leave. This really annoyed me and the gate wouldn't open unless I put my credit card in the machine. It's BS. Stores are alright. Not much selection in my opinion. read more

Nice outdoor mall going for the "main street" feel. I see some reviewers mentioning a ghetto vibe. This hasn't been my experience. There's diversity of color and economic levels for sure. But as far as crime or feeling unsafe--never. And I come here alone all the time. There is a wide range of shopping here. This is a very popular destination on the weekends because of the playground, Legoland, movie theater, and family friendly restaurants. I'm at the Whole Foods almost weekly and occasionally the REI or Westmed. WF and the Container Store validate parking with a minimum purchase but I otherwise don't think parking is exorbitant. I started coming to Ridge Hill probably about 2 years ago when it was literally nothing. There were a handful of shops and it seemed like no one knew about it. Well those days are over! Having said that, I still think it's a great shopping experience. They have all the standards, including Gap, H&M, Old Navy. An Apple store. I never really thought too much about the pay for parking, to me that is just what you do, but now that people have been writing a lot about it, it's making me get a little heated about it. But not enough for me to not go. I generally get it validated so I don't think too much about it, but I guess in the scheme of things, it is pretty annoying. I go to Whole Foods here a lot for groceries. I also go to the movies a lot here- they have $7.50 movies on Tuesday nights. Which was typically old people and empty, but now has blown up. It's still a deal that cannot be beat. It has gotten much much busier around Ridge Hill. I tried to go once on a Saturday night for dinner, and forget about it! I always said they needed a quicker food option, like a diner or ice cream shop where you can just grab a coffee. They've opened Franny's which seems like a step in the right direction. Dicks and REI are great for outdoor stuff, as is LL Bean. It's a nice experience if it isn't too crazy. I've gone a lot on weekdays during the day which I guess is quieter. It feels higher end to me but maybe that is just my perception. I am a fan of Ridge Hill, I'm just sorry it's gotten so busy! read more

Place is very beautiful. Outdoor mall with everything in a close proximity. That being said the traffic is horrendous. There are traffic agents working which probably helps a little but they should have made 2 lanes in both directions. Or take out driving all together and have people able to drive around the shopping center not through it. Should implement a fine for anyone that honks Bc honestly these people are dumb for honking when there is no where for the next 10 cars in front of you to go. It kills the mood of the area by constantly having to listen to horns honking. Many different dining options which is good but most have a wait time during the weekend. I would make sure you go on a full stomach or go somewhere else to eat unless you have time to sit around waiting hours to be sat. read more

Oh love ridge hill! Yard house is my fave! They have a lovely selection of restaurants and a few shops including my son's beloved Lego store. Whole Foods is also a major plus. They validate parking btw. Speaking of parking, lots are also spacious and I've never had to drive around much to find a spot. The Santa experience they offer is top notch. read more

Like others, the parking situation here really bothers me. They recently had to get rid of the meters because they were found to be installed illegally. So what do they do? They make all of the street parking 20 minute limit! So while you might have been able to park for an hour or so on the street if you managed to find a spot (and had enough quarters), now you can't do that and are forced to park in the overpriced garages! Just shows you that they simply do not understand how the parking situation here has pissed off their customers. For those who are not aware, I am sure the reason they are charging (other than because they can) is that they've got housing there so they can't be having the residents parking for free. Very few places validate. I think Dick's does for an hour, Whole Foods does for 90 minutes with a $10 purchase (better than their store in WP, which is 60 minutes for $15 purchase) and just saw last week that they do 2 hours with a $100 purchase. Cheesecake Factory does but as has been pointed out it's only for 2.5 hours and if you get there and have an hour+ wait, you know you won't be getting out in time to avoid paying for parking (on the other hand, they don't validate at all in WP). Don't understand why ALL restaurants are not validating. I know that whenever I have been to Yard House I have complained about it to servers -- and they say many people complain. One other thing not mentioned is that there's really no place to drop off people. Went to YH with my mother-in-law, who cannot walk far. There was nowhere on the street where I could pull over for a couple of minutes for her to get out. Instead I had to park the car in the garage and she had to walk from the parking lot and through the area by TJ Maxx. What a pain that was! Took her 10 minutes in each direction while it would have been MUCH quicker had there just been some sort of loading/unloading zone. It looks like they planned to have one, if you look at the sidewalks, there is a cut out area that is filled in. As for stores, eh. I really like Sur La Table. Lord & Taylor had a very expensive mix of merchandise, certainly higher priced than at their other stores in the area. Oh, and I think as their penalty for having been found guilty of bribing the Yonkers councilwoman to sell her vote to approve the place, they should be forced to give free parking to everyone for, say, 5 years. Update: Lord & Taylor validates parking - $1 for 2 hours (I think) with any purchase. read more

Ridge Hill is trying to be a destination, one of those outdoor shopping centers with a 'town center' feel. This concept is certainly better than a strip mall, and better than a normal shopping mall except in bad weather. To me, however, the entire experience is nearly ruined by poor road planning and the fact that they charge for parking. The roadways around Ridge Hill seem designed to make you drive down (or at least across) the main street. This is annoying, as the main street is usually very slow going due to it being single lane with lots of pedestrians. There isn't adequate signage to point you to the fastest way to park near your desired store. This is not in an urban center, in fact it is the only set of businesses around that area, so they are only charging for parking because they can (they are tucked into a steep hillside, there are no other parking options), and it starts at over $3 for the first hour. The stores don't consistently validate, and when they do they only validate for the nearest parking lot, which might not be the one you parked in. In addition, the process to deal with a lost ticket is ridiculous. I know that I will pay a lot for losing a parking ticket ($11 in this case, so it could have been worse), but there is no way to deal with a lost ticket at any of the pay machines. One has to call their security guards, and a security guard has to go to where you are and give you a 'lost ticket' ticket. Not only $11 wasted, but also 15 minutes of my life. The movie theater is nice, and there are some other good stores. I will likely avoid it until they (at least) stop charging for parking. read more
