I have a monthly subscription - about $45/month, which is high compared to other places. I get a wash, dry, and tire black for that price. I'm sticking to Ridgefield Car Wash because I live here, and the location is convenient. But I do have a complaint. I have a mid-size SUV. Wash goes great, but when I come out there is always these shorter ladies, who I'm sure are great people (they're really really nice, and they smile all the time), but they're too short!! They can't dry my car properly. When I leave, the bottom half of my car is dry, but the top half is wet (and the soap they use leaves marks when it dries). These shorter ladies can't reach my windshield. So they wipe the sides, but the middle stays wet. Again, I think these ladies are so nice. But I wish management would place people there who can reach the windshield of a mid-sized suv. When they taller guys are there, it's all good. They wipe down my windshield brilliantly. But I will stay. I hear the carwash on the 7 towards Wilton is a great place to get your car washed. It's just so far. But I'm considering it. read more

Still the only game in town -- and still with long wait times --- and now that they've renovated, prices have crept up. $30 for a wash that would be $18-20 anywhere else. Exterior wash was good. Interior was not. For $40, it was not actually vacuumed or wiped very well at all. Very disappointing. It's like they just sprayed the front pads with water and didn't even do the last row. After six months of having four of our vehicles on a monthly plan here, another update is in order. The entire team here is diligent, thorough and friendly. The overall quality of the wash now far exceeds that at its nearest "big chain" higher-end car wash competitor in Wilton. Monthly automatic billing has been seamless and accurate. Only remaining quibble: during peak hours the drying/vacuuming/window cleaning/tire shine line can be quite backed up...be prepared to spend 35-45 min for the entire "wash experience"--then again, not sure there's much the crew can do to expedite the process further, as space is limited, and being diligent/detail oriented takes time.... Net, net: nice to have a competent, family run car wash back in town. read more

My son bought a 17 year old truck. Ok imagine how a old pick up truck looks. Well everyone thought I was crazy when I said I was going to have the car detailed. I wanted it as clean as possible for him. Manny worked on the truck personally, going over so many nooks and crannies. He even cleaned the headlights that I thought I would have to replace. He scrubbed the leather and made it shine. He made the dirty dingy visors look almost new. Now they actually match the rest of the material. Ok he's not a magician, he could not make a well worn 17 year old truck look new. But he could Make it clean and presentable. My son is now very proud to show off his truck! I paid $55 for their most premium service, and when they finished cleaning the inside and I went to check it out, there was so many spots that were still dirty. I had to look throughly and show them all the spots that were still dirty. My trunk didn't even look that was touched. It was only when I started checking that they started going back and cleaning all the spots they missed. I eve got a cloth and started cleaning some parts that were still literally dirty. There was still dust everywhere and hair all over my seats, and after the wash there were a bunch of dead bugs on the exterior of my car ? However, one of the staff members was very helpful and washed my magnets for me. The automated interior portion of the facility seems pretty state-of-the-art. But when you pull your car around, you get almost a full car detailing for the price of a wash. Ridgefield Car Wash offers monthly packages that make this the most cost-effective way to keep your car clean. There are other establishments in Danbury, and Westchester. If you want to be out $20+ and still have a dirty car, go to this place. I gave this place not one, but two chances. My car was not very dirty to begin with, but they did not clean off the dash board, only cleaned the drivers side mat, and they didn't even vacuum the back seat! I got into the car and noticed they did not clean the passenger side and had to ask the guy to clean it. I also had to clean spots off of the outside of my car. I have been using these guys off and on for over a year, and have never been happy with the job. They leave significant streaks on the glass, Armor All the tires so fast they miss most of the surface area, and the wash itself leaves much road grime behind. So far I have shrugged it off (at least I wasn't washing it!), but this last visit put me over the limit. I asked them to do a great job on the windows - they said ok! They did not. I asked them to make sure to get all the bird sh*t, they did not. Then I get in the car and they cleaned the interior using brown water that they did not wipe up. It was disgusting. They gave me a voucher for a free car wash, and I threw it away. This place needs a complete reboot. Until then, I will not return at any price. read more

I paid $45 for the Super Clean wash and when I drove away in my car I noticed that they hadn't even wiped down the dash. There was still lots of dust/pollen on the dash and doors and I had to wipe it down, along with the seats, when I got home. For that price I expect a lot more. Not to mention the smell of horses (not great if you're not a die hard horse person, sorry hunny) anyway, got a fairly quick job done as we were in a rush. Progress not perfection when you pay $25 and wait 15 minutes. Let me tell you the progress was worth reviewing. Horse smell gone.. And whatever is going on over there... Excellent service, friendly, and magicians when it comes to dog hair removal. Brought in my 4 door Wrangler for an internal detailing and dog hair removal. I have a yellow lab and black seats/rugs. The Jeep was in pretty tough shape. Within a day, the inside of the vehicle was spotless and feeling like brand new. Looking forward to supporting this small business for years to come. read more

Worst car wash ever! I brought my car in for a full service and now have to redo the whole inside because every single window has streaks on it and looks milky. When I drove later that night I actually had to stop on the side of the road to clean the windshield as I couldn't see anything because of the glare the streaks left behind. I grew up in Ridgefield and I have been using this place to clean every car I've owned since I got my first car at 17 without complaint. I've lived out of state for a few years and recently moved back into the area (I'm now in my 30s) and decided to get my car washed there when I was passing through town. I pulled up and opted for the "Manger's special" which I used to get. It's expensive (now even more so at about 44 dollars) but it always been worth it as they essentially detail the interior of the car in about 30 minutes. It makes the car feel brand new. Unfortunately, this visit was different. After paying up front and driving through the car wash myself (which was new) I had to park the car in a secondary garage for the final detailing. Then, I left the car and sat in the now completely barren/abandoned seating area (which no longer offers anything for sale, not even air fresheners.) I wasn't there long as they announced my car was ready after 5 minutes of waiting. When I got to the car it looked like the interior was wiped with a damp dusty cloth. And there was still grime and and now new smudges on the inside of the windshield. In addition there was dirty water spots all over the exterior of the car. Not sure if they have new owners or something but the magic that this place had is now gone. This visit completely erased the 17 years of positive experiences my family and I had there. I won't be returning there are a ton of cheaper and better options only a few miles away. What a shame. read more

Paid to get my car washed and it vacuumed inside. The guy you pay before the wash was extremely rude and threw my paid ticket at me. Also, the guy that was suppose to VACUUM my car did not even lift the mats!!! Nor did he do the back seat floors, the seats or under and beside the seats. This place has changed, for the worse. No more indoor cashier. No more hand drying the car, machine wash only, and they do not clean windows as advertised. I left with dirty window glass so I returned to have them clean the glass. They do not use Windex, just used rags which smear the windows. The attendant had an excuse for not doing the windows......it was too difficult to reach the back window....I told him (in Spanish) that I paid for my whole car to be washed, including the windows. No one except the greeter knew a word of English. They mostly speak Portuguese, which is close to Spanish. Go to Splash, where at least they will wash the windows, and they wash and dry by hand. Paying $20 for a basic car was with interior vacuumed is kind of expensive, but to also have it barley cleaned is ridiculous. I can go to a chain car wash in Danbury pay $15 and get all the works. Fairly disappointed in the service, and will most likely never go back. Better off making the trip to Danbury. read more
