Number 1 in my book! I happened to stumble across this place when I was turned away from another place for not having their own prescription (my current prescription is valid). I was looking to buy some contacts. I was warmly greeted by the owner and he looked at my prescription and called to check on the pricing. As I was patiently waiting I was looking at some of the glasses and sunglasses. I just recently bought a pair of regular glasses and needed some prescription sunglasses as well. After deciding on passing on the contacts (they were a bit pricier than expected as Acuvue changed their pricing) I looked at the sunglasses. I'm a big supporter of local business and this place is about two months old. The owner moved his business from Glendale after about 30 years. He is experienced and bored certified. I bought a pair of Ray Ban Clubmasters and he put prescription lenses in them for me. I only had to wait a few days which wasn't bad at all. If you are looking for sunglasses or regular glasses; prescription or not I highly recommend coming here. He is very kind and willing to negotiate a reasonable price as well. Enjoy! My husband and I had a great experience in Dr. Silva-Celada's office. The front desk staff was always kind and professional-in person and on the phone. They even had a cute sign in the exam room welcoming the both of us to the office :)! SCAMMERS - is the only fair description I have for my experience! My apologies for the long review; however, it will become clear, and I thank you for your patience in reading! I have never left a review like this before! I'm over 50 years old. I have horrible vision that has decreased over the years. I'm currently using readers that are 3.5 strength (to give you an idea of my vision). I found Right Vision online and, as it was close to my home and accepted my insurance, I went for an appointment. Dr. Silva was pleasant; however, the exam was rushed. When I went to the next person to order the glasses, he repeatedly tried to UP-SALE me to the tune of $300-$500 throwing in everything but the kitchen sink, explaining it was "necessary, but I could settle for the insurance glasses" (so to speak) - which was nonsensical. When I began to get upset because he just would not stop with the up-sales pitch, Dr. Silva came out into the area. I repeated that I only wanted the glasses covered by my insurance, WITH THE PROPER PRESCRIPTION, OF COURSE. I began to feel as though something just wasn't right. After 2 phone messages, an email request through their website portal, and a 3rd call, I finally was able to get a copy of my prescription sent to m e, which indicated I had "20/20" vision! I was shocked! I called Dr. Silva and asked her to explain the prescription, who stated I had 20/20 vision. I reminded her I was in 3.75 readers, had not had 20/20 vision in more than 20 years; however, she refused to recheck my vision and simply said "wait for the glasses and see if they work for you..." As a result, I went to another optometrist who checked my vision, only to discover I do, in fact, have a stigmatism in one eye, with 4.5 vision and more than 3.0 vision in the other eye. BECAUSE DR. SILVA USED MY INSURANCE, I HAD TO PAY NEARLY $300 FOR THE EXAM AND GLASSES. After leaving a message again for Dr. Silva, she finally called me back after about 5 days. I explained that I felt she had rushed me through the exam, only to collect on the insurance claim, without accurately examining my eyes/vision. Her solution: "wait for the glasses and if they don't work we can re-exam and re-order glasses, which took 8 weeks, and which I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR! I picked up my glasses today. THEY ARE NOT EVEN WHAT I ORDERED! NOT ONLY CAN I NOT SEE OUT OF THEM BECAUSE THE PRESCRIPTION IS INACCURATE, THERE'S ALSO A HUGE BIFOCAL AREA AT THE BOTTOM THAT I CANNOT SEE THROUGH AT ALL, WHICH LOOKS LIKE GLASSES FROM THE 1940s! I specifically told Dr. Silva and her staff when I was there that I DID NOT want such a style. Further, IF her prescription was accurate, there would be no need for "bifocals", in my opinion. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF AN INSURANCE SCAM, in my opinion. Doctors that use insurance claims to get paid, and then patients ARE FORCED to return to correct the prescription, only to pay out of their own pockets, is NOTHING SHORT OF FRAUD! I will fight this legally and with my carrier to whatever extent is needed, as I would not want any other patient to endure the horrible experience I had with Right Vision Optometry. The stress and unnecessary time and expense could have been avoided. Being in the legal industry, I've seen claims like this on multiple occasions. It's horribly unfair, especially to patients who cannot afford to pay out of pocket. IF YOU WERE A PATIENT OF RIGHT VISION THAT HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL VIA YELP! Dr. Sharon S. I have to say I do not even know who you are. The only people I ever saw were the receptionists. Ask Daphne...I had a frame picked out, and at the last minute she talked me into something else. THOSE are the frames that broke. And after the fact she now says no they aren't under warranty...I told you that. I had people with me. There were 3 of us...not one of us remembers those words. when I was there she said 1 year warranty. She now says they are discontinued yet when I was in the shop they were still on display. Why are you displaying an item that is 1, garbage, 2 discontinued and 3 not worth a damn for a warranty? And not to tell me all this ahead of time? No you are all about the money and the upsell. It's hard to describe in words the difference that Right Vision Optometry made in my life. 5 years ago, I broke my glasses and as everyone who wears prescription lenses knows that's a major crisis. The owner graciously helped me to get a new pair urgently so I wouldn't have to go long without my vision. Fast forward 5 years I was in a terribly desperate situation. I have keratoconus and have been treated terribly by optomologists who refuse to give me a new glasses prescription so they can strong arm me into getting the CXL procedure. This left me with the same prescription lenses for 5 years full of scratches and ultimately leaving me in fear with low self esteem. I did my best to manage until they got so bent out of shape I was constantly dizzy and off balance. I was desperate and returned back to Right Vision Optometry. Angelica saw the desperation on me and listened to my story. For the first time someone was willing to help me. So, about two weeks ago, I broke my eyeglasses. Total accident, and boy was it embarrassing going to class with only one arm of my glasses resting on one ear. My solution to the problem? I searched "eyeglasses repair" in my home area, and Right Vision Optical appeared on the list. With great feedback in mind, I had no doubts to go ahead and check the place out. Walking in, I was greeted by the business owner, Levon, who was very knowledgeable of the matter. He told me this was no simple repair, and that the lenses on my glasses were basic, non-protective lenses from bright lights that may irritate your eyes during various activities. He recommended I purchase a new frame and use a more protective set of lenses that help maintain a calm vision when looking at bright lights. He took down my information, gave me a great price and we went ahead to put in an order for a new frame. When I returned to his shop after hearing the new frame came in, he kindly told me to wait as he goes ahead to install the new lenses on my new frame. Installation only took about 5-10 minutes! With his recommendation for the protective lenses, now I am seeing better at night, better when looking at a computer screen, and better pictures with no flashing glare on my lenses.
