Vlad was terrific. My clothes dryer died on Saturday. I decided to go with another service person because they had better availability. No blame there. Everyone is busy. But I should have gone with Vlad. The other service guy came and did a cursory review of my dryer and said my motor was dead and he would check to see if he could get a replacement motor. Monday, nope, no motor. Me (kvetching and moaning to myself): I don't want to buy a new dryer. I don't have time to do research. I don't want to pay a lot of money right now. Basically throwing myself on the ground and wailing. Hmmmm.... Maybe I can get a second opinion. So I take a picture of the specs. Send it over to Vlad. Yes, we can get a motor, but maybe I should come out and do a diagnosis. Me: Okay!!! Can you come today? Vlad: Yes!!!! Me: Yes, the stars have aligned. Come on over. Vlad showed up within the window. I cleaned out the lint trap while the dryer was disassembled. Man, was that satisfying. You'll be disappointed to know that no socks or pants were found. However, he did find some lint and hair (ewwwww!!). And to use the technical term, he was able to "unstuck" my dryer. I am one happy camper. AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Our fridge stopped working on Wednesday evening - it was not powering in at all. This was devastating as it was already past 7pm and we do not have a spare fridge so we were shuffling to resolve the issue. Vlad was the most response businessperson I've ever dealt with! Within minutes of opening a project on yelp, he reached out and he was able to make it over to our house within 15 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the fridge and determined that it was a bad fuse on the main control board of the fridge. He immediately ordered the new required parts which arrived on Friday morning, and then he was able to come install the new main board and get the fridge up and running in less than 48 hours total. Great for being very honest and not charging me for wasting their time. My Gas cooktop lit this morning with a flame as orange as the sun, so I thought something was really wrong. Checked internet and I see all these references to carbon monoxide poisoning etc. and that I need to have it looked at right away. Repair Guy showed up and said there was nothing wrong with it.....but mentioned "air mixture" and "humidity" and opening windows to get fresh air in here. Put two and two together..... I just started using a humidifier in here two days ago. On top of that I put Peppermint "essential" oil in it that has been making my air cleaners go crazy reporting bad air quality in my house.
