I got a quote in July for a certain amount, I apologize I don't remember the amount. However, I asked if I could get a bigger one and they tacked on about 40 dollars more, on top of that they are broken down so I had to buy three different locks for like 15 dollars each. Then right on my third payment they sent me an email in the middle of the third month to tell me the fourth payment was going up 40 dollars so now a storage that was supposed to be 80-100 is 200. Now I am late only 5 days, but they have assessed a 35 dollar late fee. Not to mention that my things are full of dirt, water damage and just bad conditions. We rented a unit and filled with some overflow furniture after my son returned from college. All seemed well at move in. We used a lock purchased on site and a solid keyed lock. We got a phone call after about 6 weeks that our unit was broken into, and learned that about 70% of contents were stolen! 2 items were destroyed and left behind. No cameras to catch who did this, staff had an uncaring attitude about it all and told us it happens frequently. I advise anyone to pay more and go elsewhere. DO NOT STORE YOUR VALUABLES HERE!! Me and my roommate had to move out early this month and we decided to store our belongings in this place. Here's a list of things that suck about this place -elevator sucks... it only stays open for 30s -the entry ways are VERY small..can BARELY fit a dolly -poorly lit (the timers only last 30minutes and one of the system was not working when we moved I. So it was a female dog moving our stuff in..) And the worst part THERE ARE NO SECURITY CAMERAS WHERE NEEDED!! So we put all our belonging in the unit.. LITERALLY a week later our unit was stolen.. lovely part THE LOCK WASNT EVEN CUT OR DAMAGED! (How professional...the talent on these mf-ers) We filed a police report and began the insurance claim the same day we discovered our belongings were stolen. We lost well over $10000 dollars in items and guess what the insurance they offer only covers up to $2000... just ridiculous My gut feeling tells me that this was an inside job, as in the people that work there are running a scam.. I have reasons for that. Oh I forgot to mention.. we have NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM ABOUT OUR INSURANCE CLAIM. One more sh***ty thing to add to this year Take my advice, don't give these guys your money. There are other places that offer better service, much bigger storage areas for less price less that 2miles away... The fat girl behind the counter today would not give me a prorated rental fee (I was moving out at the end of the month, and therefore would only need the unit for two weeks). All that came out of her fat mouth was "it's in your contract, we don't do that, blah, blah, pause to take a bite out of her sandwich, blah, blah. Units have no lighting whatsoever. I rented a RightSpace Storage Unit at this location online when I was relocating back to Henderson,NV from Portland,Oregon. I was treated ok and alright over the telephone because I had paid in advance to hold this reservation for this storage unit via the internet. I was very disappointed after I rented it via the Internet because the storage unit I received looked nothing at all what this company had advertised on its Rightspace Storage Website. I had to have the front desk person go and clean this storage unit out which i had received which had been located on the second floor and had wooden floors and walls and this storage unit I had received from this company did not look anything at all what they had pictured on the internet. After all of this happen I had the manager,Angie Hernandez, falsely accuse me of sleeping in my storage unit! The day which she had tried to accuse me of this I was straighten out my belongings which were inside of my storage unit there that day. I tried to reason and talk with this manger, Angie Hernandez, however she had become so easily upset that when I tired to explain myself again to her she refused to listen to me,by stating that if I did not "change my tone with her," because she was "trying hard to be nice to me." In the meantime after she falsely accused me of trying to sleep inside my storage unit I had only been back to Henderson/Las Vegas,NV after fourteen days and this is the way Angie Hernandez continue to treat by by changing my gate hour from 5AM-8PM was now changed to 9AM-5PM and I was given ten days to "vacate these premises or she was going to have me evicted and trespassed and call the local authorities i.e. the Henderson PD and get me a charge of "trespass," against her and her RIGHTSPACE Storage Facility. When I returned on Monday,September 28,2020, I waited for her to let me inside of my storage unit that I had only rented from Rightspace Storage a period of fourteen days, had given Rightspace Storage and paid this company my $49.00 form my Debit/Credit Card and was supposed to be good there until November 16,2020 per what I had paid via the internet and what the Rightspace Storage Contract that I read and signed via the internet while I was still inside the PDX or Portland,Oregon Airport because I had this booked via the Internet and had had my Storage unit put on a reservation until I got back to Henderson/Las Vegas,Nevad from Southwest Airlines from Portland,Oregon. Needless to say, I never got my refund from Rightspace Storage since I had "Voluntarily quit" and walked off their premises and the manager,Angie Hernandez ,refused to listen to me so I just left and went to my former Storage Facility who I was with for over a year before I had left for Portland,Oregon after only being gone a period of five months to visit one of my friends who was living in this Portland, Oregon metro-area. I felt I was singled out because I happen to mention to this manager, Angie Hernandez, that I was living temporarily as a homeless woman on the city streets of Henderson/Las Vegas,Nevada and it had nothing to do with the contract I had agreed to and signed with this particular Storage Unit Facility. The fact I was living homeless on the Henderson/Las Vegas City streets, like I had done before with one of their competitors who had treated me who had treated me with dignity,integrity, and respect which there was none after this company found out I was living as a homeless woman on the local city streets here in the Henderson/Las Vegas,Nevada metro area. I will never recommend this Rightspace Storage Facility to anyone because of the way I was treated and disrespected by this particular company. Do not in anyway do business with this particular Rightspace Storage Facility because they are not be trusted because of the way they treated me and other individuals who are like myself temporarily living homeless on the city streets of Henderson/Las Vegas,Nevada because of the way this company took my initial payment of $49.00 never gave me a refund because I had been "falsely accused of sleeping in my storage unit which was a complete lie manufactured by the manager,Angie Hernandez, to try and ruin my life and reputation which she and this particular company cared nothing at all about! Have been using this facility until recently when our ENTIRE storage unit was completely vandalized and looted. We lost over half of a full 10x10 unit, what was left over was a trampled mess that they didn't want. They picked the lock and then put it back on. The management were not helpful at all, and in fact we found out through the police that they themselves were selling our belongings online. The security is useless as there are no reliable cameras as advertised. The rent has been rising and the facility degrades more and more. The place is getting filthy. There are definitely homeless people, unmarked cars, and weirdos living there, especially over the weekends. We believe they are working with the employees to break into units and transfer the contents, especially on the inside buildings. I highly recommend finding another brand of storage facility completely, not just this location. read more

I have been a customer of this storage facility for several years. The customer service just gets worse and worse. I'm seriously constantly surprised by the way they handle things. It's outrageous. A few Saturdays ago I went to the storage unit to get some holiday items out of storage. When I arrived and looked for the carts to help me move the items I noticed that two of them were locked to the stairwells. Considering I have never seen this before I went to the office to find out if I needed a key or something. The girl behind the counter was very impatient with me and told me that she had just left an open cart near the elevator. I informed her that I had looked in the hallways for both buildings but didn't see anything. She remained firm repeating the same sentence over. So I went back. after about 15 minutes of searching I found it under the stairwell of the building she said it was in front of the elevator. I just feel like there's no cost to being nice and friendly. Last Sunday, I realized that I had the wrong key to my unit, and the office was closed so I tried to purchase a lock cutter so that I could access my unit. Unfortunately the lock that was put on my unit can not be cut with lock cutters. So I waited until the office was open to contact them. I thought that they may have left one of my keys in my file. It was a long time ago but I was pretty sure she only gave one key. I remember thinking that it would be good in case I lose it. The girl was again immediately unfriendly and impatient with me. She informed me that I'm not allowed to cut my own lock as per my lease (I did not know that) and the only thing I can do is wait until next Thursday and they will cut it for a $50 fee. This is just outrageous. I swear this place comes up with new ways to screw over their long time customers. It's so unfortunate. They know that you don't want to move all of your stuff so they take advantage. It's very frustrating. Another issue I have is that I asked if I could speak to a manager the girl on the phone replied that she is the manager. I asked her if there was anyone else that I could talk to and she said that she would not give me her manager's phone number but I could call corporate. So fine. Instead I'll just express myself via online reviews. At least this way I can hopefully help someone else avoid the mistake I made by putting my stuff in this storage place. read more

WATCH OUT! I had rented here before without problems but this experience was criminal. The first time I rented here - no problems. This time, I had not had my unit but two months and both my units were robbed. The onsite manager was far from helpful. We had to call the police because he would not let us view the tapes or give us any info after he admitted seeing a truck at my units and people getting into my stuff. So he saw this and WHY didn't he say anything? The police responded and talked to him about the video footage and how he wasnt being at all helpful. He tried to say that he thought it was me that staged some kind of burglary on my own sheds... uh huh. right. The police ask him about the video cameras and the tapes. He admitted to the police... The reason he would not give us the tapes or let us even see them is THERE ARE NO TAPES THERE. ALL CAMERAS ARE BROKEN. They are either fake cameras up or the ones that they do have dont work and they are placed so high up they can't see license plates from those who drive through the gate. If you value your things - Do NOT store your things here. I promise you, I thought this was a decent place, I'd been here before but there is some sort of inside job going on with this manager. Over 5 days of continuous filming they cant even get one picture or description? Really? After speaking with him, The police advised me to move my stuff out of there. I had a great experience with the storage center! They were able to get me a great rate and get me right into a unit; the manager who helped me with signing the paperwork, purchasing a lock, etc. was very courteous and helpful. On site access is really convenient, with access hours until 10pm for those of us who work late. And everything is always clean. They have handy pushcarts in all the stairwells to help move heavy items. My only complaint is that the elevator in the building I was in is very slow in opening / closing once it arrived at the desired floor. But it wasn't that big a deal, particularly when everything else was so convenient. And at the end of a 6 or so month period when I no longer needed the unit, there was no hassle about moving out and stopping payments. Thanks for all that! read more

I have rented a 10 x 15 since july of 2011. The first summer there was no climate controlled units as advertised. The roof was being replaced and the swamp coolers were disconnected and were not reconnected after the food was done in a timely manner. It got so hot in the unit that it melted items that could not get hot. The insurance they make you buy did not cover the loss. I was informed by the Insurance company that they were not responsible for situation that the property owner created. The manager at the time who I reported the situation to repeatedly stonewalled me on the event. When I pointed out how unfair this was his response was "you can turn in notice anytime you want to". Shortly after moving into unit I started a job that averaged 84 hours a week, so it wasn't like could easily move out in a timely manner. The Summer of 2013 a new Manager had the coolers running a little past sunset instead of having the timer shut them off at 6:37 pm. A large Company bought Sunset Mini Storage about February. The new entity terminated the existing Manager. I expressed my concern about the operation of the coolers in April since they had not turned them on yet. The new Manager stated she would bring this up to the proper personal that takes care of such manners. The day after Easter I purchased a large sum of Easter chocolates that were heavily discounted. If I had to pay retail it would have cost me over $800.00. Since I have a house sitting job I am limited to what I can keep at the house. I was left with the impression that cooling not going to be a issue. Management never turned the units on that were operation when they were shut off last fall. One unit was on for the downstairs until they shut that one down, non of the 3 units upstarts were ever turned on. I inquired several times about the situation to the new Manager. The Manager on the last visit to the office informed me that she could not do much of anything until she had taken all the proper safety courses the new entity required her to do. As of now non of the units have any cooling as they advertise. On June 20th at 6:15pm I went to my unit to pick up a Item, I discover a Woman who was upset because she just drove up from San Diego to move her Items into storage. She stated that they had called her and informed her that the lock was removed. When she arrived she found her unit that she had rented online was still locked up. She was not pleased that there was no cooling and was having problems getting a hold of anyone to help her on the Emergency contact #. Her friends used there personal Vehicle to help her move and they has to drive back right away. Her locked unit was right next to my unit so it was easy to show her my melted Chocolate & slimy Co Q - 10, Vitamin D3, Acia. Her response was "they told me over the phone that these were cooled units" I lost more money then I have pay rent to this company. Management seems to have no sense of urgency they make you buy insurance that does not cover losses that they have hand in creating. read more

The staff has always been very supportive and helpful. The one time I had an issue the Regional manager called me and everything was fixed. read more
