Came here with coworkers (plus my baby) for happy hour. We sat in their patio which had shade and plenty of seating near the trail, which was pretty. We were quickly greeted and our server was great at giving us recommendations. We ordered drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and plenty of happy hour menu items. This was our go-to spot for Sunday lunch. Last Sunday my SO ordered the same sandwich as always, with the same side of au jus as always. Much to my surprise, they charged us $6 for the side!! I would be ok paying extra, but $6 is ridiculous, especially since we have never been charged before. I questioned the waiter and he just shrugged and was like, sorry, that's what it is. So the sandwich price increased with new menu to $25. Paid $2 extra for sweet potato fries (this we knew) then $6 for au jus. A $33 sandwich lunch. No thanks. The fries were great as usual, the calamari appetizer was excellent. I do not recommend the Caesar wrap, dry and unflavored. We have had great experiences prior to this, so only took one star off, but not sure we'll be heading back any time soon. read more

Came by after my music performance for a drink and a snack to celebrate my singing success. We did order mules of course- they live by their name. Truly a house of mules. We sat outside with the puppy who we picked up from day care down the street. Nice outside space with a stage and a bike/walk path behind the buildings . The food was good and drinks excellent. I came in on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Madison was my server and I sat at the bar. She was very kind, and I could tell she has good connections with usuals that visit the bar. Service was quick and the establishment was very clean and bright. I am looking forward to coming here with my fiancé at some point now that I know they have live music. My only critique was the amount of chips that came with my ahi poke nachos. The taste and flavor was definitely to die for though, perfectly seasoned and delicious and refreshing. We came by for UFC fight night after eyeing this location for a long time. TLDR: Fairly good food with a few sour apples, service was strange, lots of events! Our server (who I guess was Magby from the receipt) was interesting to say the least. He was at our table often, but he didn't seem very friendly / personable. Maybe an off night? Hard to tell. There were Bacardi representatives giving out free shots of their mango Bacardi when the fights began. Hey free alcohol is free alcohol - props to HOM for getting events like that set up. Fries seem like a place that could use some help. Our garlic fries were very soggy, and our friend's sweet potato fries came out burnt first. Once replaced, the new sweet potato fries weren't very good at all. The deep fried Oreos were also really bad. Soggy, no crunch and had very little flavor - disappointing as a dessert. Our grilled steak sandwich was the highlight of the night. It was amazing, lots of flavor and cooked to perfection. Would recommend 1000/10. Drinks were also top notch, very refreshing and with a fair pour on the alcohol. What a cool place! Great service, fun atmosphere, excellent food. Smash burger and Chicken wrap were outstanding. The deep fried pickles were a surprise treat as well. I have a gluten sensitivity so often check yelp reviews before going to a restaurant that's new to me. Since there was to date only one review mentioning gluten, I thought I'd write in to review that this restaurant had a lot of traditional bar food that would not be conducive to someone with a gluten intolerance, however I had and really liked the lettuce wraps with chicken. I think it's marked as an appetizer but was totally fine/ great as a meal. Good flavor and was refreshing. They have live music some weekend nights and that was great! Surprisingly not too hot on the patio, so I think it's because of how the restaurant is situated and the patio in the shade and along a bike/ walking trail. Huge selection of mules, which is fun, and pretty much any of the flavors can be turned into a mocktail version for half the price, so that was nice. read more

First time visiting this place. Sports bar atmosphere, plenty of TV's. Friendly wait staff, happy hour too with pita chips & salsa. The drinks were fine, the food needs some work. Jambalaya was only warm and very bland, no flavor. I put the salsa from the chips to add some flavor. The Turkey burger was all right but the sweet potato fries tasted "old" They did have live music, and the band was pretty good. Our 2 ladies were dancing on the side of the table. So excited a new restaurant in Folsom! MULESSSSS, you say. I really wanted this place to be a hidden gem but alas she is not. Tucked into the small shopping center with Jamba juice/dos coyotes off of Folsom Blvd lies this brand new restaurant. My friend and I were super ready to have a girls night out. The parking lot didn't look too crazy and we just missed happy hour. Filled with your usual Folsomites and some odds and ends. The vibe/decor was modern with sports bar. The menus were hard to read and I'm not that old. It was due to low lighting and a black background for the menu. We were told food was made all in house, mhmm I think not. The pretzel was straight out of a frozen box. The food was really average and nothing struck us as come back to have this. They give you free chips and salsa but the salsa doesn't even stay on the chips. The mules were good. The Pina colada like one was our favorite but blown away by the price tag of one drink. Service was slow as well. I know they just opened and our server was trying but, our drinks came after our food. Will I be going back? Mhmm no. I wish them the best of luck! read more

My friend and I stopped by for a bite after a day on the river. The staff was attentive and friendly. I ordered the house of mules burger. Definitely would recommend if you like a spicy flavorful burger. My friend ordered the bbq bacon cheese burger since he liked his food more on the sweet side. Where to start! House of Mules is 100% slept on! This place is awesome! Lots of room, the food is fabulous, and when I say fabulous I mean it! My family has been here a few times and we have never had a bad drink or meal! The flavor in everything is spot on!!! Our last visit was great! The staff there catered to my 10 year olds order! Fettuccine Alfredo side of shrimp and extra lemon and a side of pickles lol!(hopefully you remember us)! On Thursdays they have a triva night which seemed cool starts at 7!
