The end of a great day on the Harley
    Frank J.

Returned to check out the new digs as promised. No disappointments! I like the old location better. It had a dedicated and less busy parking area. But the new building is bigger, roomier and has lots of windows. Plenty of parking so that's not a problem... just that it's a much busier lot. That and turning left onto Hall can be problematic depending on the time of day. Pretty sure there is parking in the rear and that may turn out to be more to my liking. Although you can literally park the bike on the sidewalk right in front of the window. There's also a row of wooden picnic benches to the side which will be pleasant if it every warms up and dries out. As to the food, same-o, same-o. Chili was great. Burgers are still outstanding. I like the sidewinders although I'd like them better if Ringos could figure out what McDonalds does to their fries. I like them a bit more tender and with that slight broth taste. No complaints though. Food is just as excellent as always. Staff was great although there was just the barkeep and the cook. There was some girl pretending to work there but the bartender was basically doing the work of five people. The downside of the scamdemic (one of many) is that places like these seem to have a lot of trouble hiring and keeping good staff. Ringos was legendary for having very cute, flirty and attentive wait staff. Saturday afternoon could have just been a slow time for them. I'm getting a little old for the late night bar crawls. Luckily, it wasn't terribly busy when we were there so taking care of the dozen-odd patrons was no challenge for the excellent barkeep. Really nice guy but we old guys go there for the beer, burgers and girls, right? :) When I'm alone I usually drink at the bar and this one is pretty small. As I recall it was sometimes difficult to find a free stool at the old place too. I feel odd taking up a big booth all by myself when I'm alone. Good selection of brews on tap. So long as they have Colorado Koolaide, I'm a happy guy. My companion had mixed drinks. I gather they were ok. Prices are still modest. $35 to stuff myself silly, a couple of drinks and a decent gratuity. I've paid a lot more for worse meals so no complaints. Ringos is in the top five for my best non-chain burger joints. No frozen hockey puck patties here! I'd bump it up a tad if they do something about making the fries a bit more tender. Two hand formed patties make for a truly outstanding killer burger and the upcharge for that is very small. I would have ordered that but the still amazing chili was very filling. You can drown your burger in an assortment of topping options but I find the basic cheeseburger to be quite satisfying and tasty. Note to vegans: The chili has a LOT of meat in it (which is one of the main reasons why it is some of the best in the PNW). It's a little spicy and has a bite to it but it won't give you heartburn. A bowl is a VERY generous size bowl and it came out pretty quick so I'm guessing it's in a big pot that's on constant simmer. I am soooo glad Ringos hasn't changed and glad I stumbled on them looking around on Yelp for a place to entertain a friend. I was sad when I thought they were gone for good. Once again Yelp really came through for me!

After having Ringo's on my list for some time, I finally made it there for lunch. It was a hot day, so I wanted to be in a nice a/c room. It was all just okay. I met the owner Jason after I sat down and he was very pleasant. It was fun to hear the history of his restaurant and the story of purchasing it in 1985 from the age old Hunt & Fish Tavern. The move to the new location happened about one year ago, and they are nearby the BG Food Cartel, which is very impressive collection of food trucks. Ringo's is definitely a tavern. It has pool tables, pinball machines, video poker etc. There was only one other table during my visit, and I kind of understand why. The pilsner I had was quite tasty, refreshing and full of flavor. I heard the customers at the one table in the restaurant ask for their burger to be medium rare. She was told they could not guarantee that? That seemed odd to me. Why can't it be cooked in that particular manner? I was in a mood for a patty melt and ordered that with tater tots. The tots were golden and crispy. So good. But so many. I would have been happy with 1/2 of the amount provided. The burger was the let down. While the onions were nicely grilled inside, the burger patty was thin and small and the caraway bread was barely grilled. It had the texture more of a sandwich. I have never experienced that before. Ranch dressing was on the plate in a small white paper portion cup. I had to get up and ask for ketchup...and that was also poured into the small portion cup. I wanted to order some of the broasted chicken to take home, but was told only white meat was available. I also noticed the table at the booth I sat in was not stable. When I leaned on the table, it wanted to fall over. I sat in the middle of the booth to alleviate the issue. The table is large, and needs two anchor braces under it versus the round table base that exists. I am glad I tried Ringo's, and I assume they do a great business during Sunday football, or other events that occur, but for a good, simple lunch, it could be better.

Visiting in town for a soccer game. We went in on a Saturday afternoon to get a bite to eat and a beer, there were only two other people in the whole place. We waited for at least 20 minutes and couldn't get the attention of the bartender that was busy putting away glasses and taking with her friend. We finally got up and left, we were never acknowledged. No wonder why it was so slow, we won't be back. We went around the the corner to the Brickyard Tavern and were greeted the minute we walked in. It was busy, great food and service.

There are not many late night food options in this part of the city... and, honestly, I was not really expecting "great" food... Boy, was I wrong or what!!! Loved the Fish sandwich I ordered... and the rings too. Tots were ok... but the shoroom burger was super good Must talk about the ambiance.... The place was full of kids (some old farts like me as well) - trying their hands on the pool tables - and others just chilling out... I'll sure return

Ringos always has solid food and decent service. We sat outside in the parking lot and must've showed up during a break or shift change because we had to go inside twice for service. Once the shift change or break was over we were doing real good. The bacon cheese burger I got was delicious. We had a small mishap with spilled beer but the server got us a new one on the house. I think as long as Ringos can ensure there is coverage for all areas at all time during dinner, they will be a strong 5/5 option in Beaverton!

This guy doesn't get to go to Ringo's.
Might play better if he did...

Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) I can see where it could be a challenge.
