My washing machine broke and I had a lot of laundry piled up, I mean a Lot! so in my desperation I was looking for a drop off wash and fold nearby, when I googled, I found Rinse, a pick up and drop off service. It was almost so easy when I signed up and they scheduled a pick up for the next evening that I thought it wasn't even going to happen. It did! They did a great job with Blankets , duvet covers and all kinds of spring cleaning laundry needs! I highly recommend this service. Usually takes a couple days which was fine with me but can also be rushed! Loved it. All these positive reviews are FAKE. My dry cleaning was returned to me smelling as if they just put everything on hangers and returned them to me. All of my shirts still smell musty under the arms. I'm adding the additional star for the quality of the valets, but if you plan on using their services outside of standard fluff and fold of dark colored clothes - just don't. My whites are dingy and not bright. My vintage dress has a stain on it post dry cleaning. And my favorite part about this crap experience?? I PAID OVER $100 FOR HANG DRY ITEMS. That's right - for a company that doesn't have hidden fees or upsell costs, they charge you PER ITEM for hang dry services. Plus an additional $6 for something as simple as a bath mat. It's obscene how they rack up the fees. I've learned my lesson and will now find the extra 30 mins. in my day to drop off/pick up my items from my usual place - this way I know my whites will be bright, my dry cleaning will be sans stains, and I'm paying a proper amount on hang dry and fluff and fold. read more

I don't recommend Rinse. For $80 for 4 loads, it wasn't worth it. They aren't upfront & fully transparent with their pricing. I was excited to try them out for the first time, but was left disappointed with their poor customer service & overall service. I gave them 4 loads of laundry (1clothes, 2 sheets, 1 towels). My account said I had a $30 credit. I requested an estimate after my items we're weighed, just to get a sense of the cost. They refused. They said I would receive a receipt upon delivery. Not true.I received a receipt with a total on Thursday at 9:21pm by email 4 hours after delivery. They only communicate by text & email, which doesn't suffice when you entrust them your personal belongings. To make matters worse, Rinse only gave me $10 towards my order. They were 45 minutes+ late on the pickup and over an hour late on the drop-off, and short of 4 pairs of pants. It took them two days to recover the missing 4 pants. I had to ask for the delivery fee to be taken off due to the tardiness and a refund for the cleaning of the missing pants. The pickup/delivery window is not flexible but they couldn't stay within the time frame themselves. It was my first time using them and it was more inconvenient than the local cleaners. read more

Better than Washio x 10, imo. The only big disadvantage that Rinse has compared to Washio is that they have set hours - they will only pick up and deliver 8-10 pm. Though, I don't see that as a huge issue since those are the hours I would be home on the weekends anyway, and their pros far outweigh their cons. My clothes come back very clean. I can trust these guys with nice items, rather than just my gym clothes. The drivers are incredibly friendly. The washers actually read your care tags, so they won't mess anything up, just in case you threw the wrong thing into the wrong bag. I love their drop off option. If you can't be home at the drop off time, they provide you with a hook to leave outside your door where they can hang your bag. Overall, a great experience with Rinse so far. Definitely recommend, and will continue to use! read more

I couldn't get myself to give them 4 stars because their service is absolutely amazing. Rinse will pick up and drop off your clothes between 8-10pm, 7 days a week. It's a dream come true for me. I often work long hours in the office and it's always been an inconvenience to have to make time to drop off/pick up my dry cleaning some time during the day. Ain't nobody got time for that! Finally a dry cleaning service for the 21st century! They come to ME to pick up my clothes and drop them off on a day most convenient for ME. ME ME ME. It's all about me. All the information is communicated through text messages and I can ask them to come by earlier or later within their 2hr window. They text me approximately 45 minutes before a Rinser will be at my apartment and that gives me plenty of time to return home if I'm out. Technically, you can leave your bag of clothes out on your doorstep and they could return your clothes and hang them on a hook they provide for your door, but my apartment building doesn't allow anyone in if the resident is not home to buzz them in. I've only used them to launder/press my dress shirts ($2.50/item) and dry clean pants ($7.00/item) which is similar in price to most dry cleaners. Rinse might cost a little more for the pants than other cleaners, but I'm happy to consider it a convenience fee. Before I called Rinse for the first time, I definitely had some doubts whether they'll actually do a good job with dry cleaning. I've had experience with various dry cleaners prior to Rinse and I'd say they are definitely one of the best in terms of having clothes cleaned well. Thanks to their $20 discount on your first order promo (shoot me a message if you want a screenshot of this), I decided to give it a shot and now I can't think of any other way to get my clothes dry cleaned. The only reason why I considered giving them 4 stars is because I wanted them to expand their time frame an hour earlier to 7pm-10pm, or have a morning option. They did a fantastic job on the dry cleaning. Their delivery service is great, and their valets are really nice and pleasant. ONE little thing, which doesn't change my opinions of them (still a 5 star review), is that they were late both times when picking up/dropping off. Only by few minutes, which is no big deal b/c I'm waiting comfortably at my own house instead of doing the usual drop off and pick up at dry cleaners. They shouldn't rush just to be couple minutes faster and jeopardize their safety. But maybe it's a route issue that the office should take care of, and not something the valets should be concerned about. Anyway, thank you for a wonderful service! read more

Rinse is life changing. Their service is extremely convenient and inexpensive. I have been using them for about 7-8 months now and have had absolutely no problems, which is more than I can say for any brick and mortar dry cleaner in the area. The valets (people who pick up your clothes) are extremely friendly. You'll receive an email the morning after a pickup that shows all the articles of clothing they picked up as well as a picture of each. If i won't be around during the pickup time, I'll leave the bags on the front porch and shoot them a text letting them know. Once they pick up the load I always receive a confirmation text. Overall, I liked Rinse and would definitely use it again. The Bad: They were late picking up my clothes but the lady was super apologetic and sweet but if you say you are going to be there in 45 minutes, be there in 45 minutes. Rinse needs to provide their employees support to be able to do this in my opinion. I sent two pieces to be dry cleaned and honestly they were not blouses, they were shirts so I was overcharged for something that my local dry cleaner charges me a shirt price on. Super annoying, but since it was my first time I guess I will know for next time. The Good: Rinse is super convenient. The prices aren't terrible especially because you essentially don't have to do anything. They folded my clothes PERFECTLY and even separated them into bags based on under garments vs. t-shirts. SUPER HELPFUL for putting things away. Rinse has a quick response time when you have questions and I get the sense they genuinely care about what they are doing. Just wanted to write an update for Rinse. I've now been using them for 7 months and I can say that they are freakin' awesome. If I could give them more stars, I would. First off, they let you know via text when they are going to be in your area, so if you have something for them, they can come get it. This is great because sometimes I feel like a dick having them come and pick up 1 pair of pants, but with this, I know they are already going to be close by, so I just have them come whenever I have something. Second, and this is the BEST thing, they now do REPAIRS as well! It was just last week that I was looking at a pair of pants with a hem that was coming un-sewn and thought, "Man, I wish I could just have Rinse pick these up and fix it." Guess what, the next day I get an email saying that they are going to start doing just that! Things like replacing missing buttons is free, and other services are offered at reasonable prices. I just got a jacket back a couple days ago, and when I got it out today to wear it, I saw a little tag on the hanger saying that they had repaired it. I was puzzled on what they had repaired, but then I remembered that the jacket had had a button missing for forever. I never worried about it because I never used that button, but Rinse replaced it for free, without me asking, and did an awesome job to boot. Button matches perfectly. So far so good. I use Rinse for my regular laundry. They are super. They pick it up at the time they say they are. They communicate with me regularly. The valets are friendly and professional, and they ask about any specific requests I may have. My laundry is returned to me in three days, clean and neatly folded. I have only used them for wash and fold, not for hang drying or dry cleaning. But having my bed linens, towels and general laundry washed, dried and folded by someone else is a big time saver for me. read more

After only a few wears, virtually all of my dress shirts developed that awful yellow ring around the color and no matter what local dry cleaners I took them to, they couldn't get it out. This is a much belated review, but I have to say, I love Rinse SO much. Having come from NY where fluff-and-fold is super common, Rinse is top of the line and head and shoulders above other services. They have PHENOMENAL customer service (more on that below!), run on time, do an incredible job, are great communicators, very personable upon pick up, and the clothes are A+ clean and all there. I tend to travel a lot for work, and a company like Rinse is crucial when I'm headed into a long trip or wiped after one (or back to back)! When I say there customer service is INCREDIBLE, I mean it. I once misjudged the number of days between having my laundry picked up and dropped off, and was leaving for a month long trip. I was off by one day, and it would have been a disaster to leave without my laundry. I texted the main number, and while I couldn't switch to rush mid-service or pick up my half-done Laundry (which is normal and frankly a sign that they really take care of your belongings!!) Rinse looked into every possible solution, listened to my panic (ha!), AND checked all of the order numbers - when they realized mine came in a batch early, they rerouted it to go out with the last delivery that night instead of the following day. I cannot find in my texts the name of the gentleman who helped me but seriously, he was so helpful & awesome to deal with.. HEROES. They do a great job, go above and beyond. Picked up 3 bags of wash & fold totaling about 60lbs. Several days later returned 43lbs. Questioned as to the remaining items did not hear back from customer service. A few days later received a text about a delivery. The delivery came in a dry cleaning bag with everything on hangers. I'm confused as I only had wash/fold. The contents were my remaining items missing from the first delivery, just towels and tee shirts. Now I'm paying 2.75 to dry clean a 10 year old tee shirt and I don't know how much to dry clean 25 yr.old towels! Plus they stuck a $5 rush fee when I never requested rush. If you hate your clothes and need an excuse to buy new ones, this is the company for you! Service: Unreliable I have been using the weekly service for about 4 months now and finally decided to call it quits. Some weeks my clothes came back clean and neatly folded, others it was a total mess! I've had clothes come back smelling like hot dryer instead of fresh laundry, extremely wrinkled, sloppily folded, or items missing altogether. One week my microfiber hair towel was sent back unwashed because "they don't do yoga mats". Like, what? How is that even close to looking like a yoga mat. I've also had items come back damaged (shrunken, missing clasps, coming apart at the seams). This literally NEVER happened when I did my own laundry. Scheduling for delivery/pick-up can be quite annoying too. You're given a time, but more often than not you then get a text saying your driver is early. It's stressful to feel like you then have to rush to put your clothes out because if you don't you're holding up the driver. They should stick to their schedule and plan properly. Their service isn't even supposed to start until 8pm, so why text people at 7:30 to see if it's ok to show up? Then start your service earlier and schedule accordingly. Customer Service: Inconsistent They rely completely on a texting system that is total garbage. Every time you text, it goes to a random person. I've been in the middle of handling an issue with one person, and a totally random person will answer next with no clue of what's going on. Who does that? Never in my life has this happened while handling a complaint with a company. Never. Because of this garbage system, some texts supposedly get "lost". I don't see how because even if it does go to a random person, someone read that damn text and chose not to respond. As for pick-up and delivery, the drivers seem mostly fine. Some are friendly, some are whatever. I feel that if you're sending someone to people's homes, particularly at night, you should have staff that is more on the friendly side. The texting for updates is also inaccurate. I'll get a text saying the driver is at my address, but he/she doesn't get to my door until 10 mins later. Or that they'll be there in 10-15, but don't actually get there until 20-25 mins later. That's why now I just do the door hook. Company:Unethical What I've gathered so far is that this company is basically a middle man. They make all these promises in their ads talking about their immigrant founder and the generations of experience with laundry, but THEY DON'T DO LAUNDRY! That's like a company bragging about their extensive experience with food, then you find out they're just a delivery service like Eat24. I don't think that the guy in the commercials is even a real story. I've had problems with them since day one. I have given them so many chances because they're newish, but at what point is enough enough? You'd think that after so many problems a manager would step in and make contact, even though I've requested it, but nope. I guess that requires actual work and a company that wants to rake in the dough by being an automated middle man doesn't have time for that. As of today, I'm still waiting on a reimbursement from a lost item that turned up damaged almost two months ago! I've also gone to put on a certain item, just to realize it's not longer part of my wardrobe. I guess this could be fixed by itemizing every piece of clothing I send out, but if I'm spending that much time on laundry I might as well wash it myself. I'm also suspicious about their 4-star rating. Yelp keeps saying you can't purchase your way to a higher rating, but I see mostly bad reviews so their rating doesn't seem accurate. Price: For repeat, their prices went up in November and I only kept them because they offered 3-months at the old price for customers that were already with them. If the service was what it claimed to be, the old price was great and the new price is ok. However, for this level of competence and reliability, the price is too damn high! I'll drive the two blocks and pay half the price per pound, including hang dry! Dry cleaning is competitive, but expect "mistakes" in billing. Like their march offer for one free shirt with each dry cleaning order. Nope, got charged for all the items. Then, even they're confused by their delivery fee. I was first told the dry cleaning did not incur a delivery fee if delivered with your Rinse repeat. I was still charged, and when I asked about it I was told the opposite, that dry cleaning has a delivery charge no matter what. To this day, sometimes there's a fee, sometimes there isn't. They don't even know what policy they want to stick with. Overall, not worth the headaches and time spent dealing with their failures. Not appreciative of the flippant attitude as if my time and property are meaningless. Tire of the excuses. Tired of "check's in the mail" type of BS. An automated company that writes checks.
