    Salad bar

We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday at around 5:30. No reservation and no problem seating our party of 4. This format of dining was new for my husband and me. We started with the salad bar. Very fresh and it had some shrimp which made me very happy. There was also a seafood consommé type of soup which was delicious. Of course the MEAT is the star of the show here. Different meats on skewers were brought by the table for an unlimited amount of MEAT !!! The meat was good. Some cuts seem to be heavily seasoned. Kinda salty. It's a pricey evening. Dessert is extra. We did have a delicious bottle of Malbec. Would probably not go again but if you haven't tried this concept and you LIKE MEAT --- give them a try.

My first 2 plates of food. I finished a total of 6 plates by the time the night was over.

Back 2 years ago when I was here, this place was listed but not yet open. I love me some Brazilian Steakhouse restaurants and where I'm from (Nashville), we haven't had one for at least 3 years or so. When I learned this was still around when planning my work trip, I knew I was coming here for dinner. To be honest, I was surprised Johnson City had one because so many of them came and went out of business in Nashville over the years. Nashville is obviously bigger than Johnson City, so I wonder what the secret formula is. Regardless, I'm glad I dined here. Coming in at 8:30p on a Monday meant it was super slow. I was one of 3 patrons that evening. The other table was a couple and the woman didn't even eat. I felt super bad because you had this multi-person wait staff and only 2 guys eating. My waiter did tell me that everything in Johnson City slows down at about 8pm and they were busier earlier in the evening. Regardless, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have supported a locally owned restaurant. Everyone was kind and while it was no Fogo/Texas de Brazil/Rodizio chain in terms of decor, the food was great. My main complaint were the chicken and pork ribs, as they were really dry. The beef however, came out really good every time. For those of you that have been to Brazilian steakhouses, you're familiar with the thin slicing the gauchos do. Well because it was just me, they were able to give me nearly a whole chunk of meat. So I probably ate about "5-6" personal sized steaks. It was also great because I only wanted the picanha, ribeye, and pineapple. They brought those cuts to me every time. I'm debating going again tomorrow just because I haven't been to a Brazilian Steakhouse in over 3 years! I would highly suggest coming here if you like meat.

    Creme brûlée

My wife and I had dinner here for our anniversary. It was a wonderful meal, and we enjoyed the experience. We've been to churrasqueiras elsewhere, and this place is just as good. The staff are attentive and friendly. The meats were delicious. The salad bar very clean and fresh. The drinks are great. The restaurant feels high end and classy. The staff gifted us a creme brûlée for our anniversary. We will be returning soon. Muito obrigado!!

Overcooked meats. Asked for med rare, but kept receiving med/ med well. Anyone can see that these meats are not cooked evenly throughout.

While on vacation, this had to be one of the most disappointing meals during the trip. I looked on google and Yelp and discovered this Brazilian steakhouse. I was pretty surprised considering we were in Johnson City. The photos looked good and the desserts were presented very nicely. We bought a groupon for two dinners with a bottle of wine. Upon arriving, we were super sketched out (suspicious) because there was literally only one car in the parking lot (around 8:30 PM) and we weren't expecting it to be dead. There was only one party in the building. The manager(?) let us take a look at the wine list and let us know that only bottles $22 and under were included, but we'd have to pay the difference for anything more expensive. We did choose an inexpensive bottle and it was disappointing. There wasn't too much to choose from to begin with. We were asked to wear our masks to and from the salad bar, which is understandable. The salad bar was kind of small here to be honest, but we were able to find some decent sides. We requested medium rare meats, but the gauchos kept bringing us overcooked meats. If you eat beef cooked over medium, then do you even know what a good steak is??? We had to repeatedly ask for medium rare, so I just gave up and ate the stuff from the salad bar which wasn't too bad. I frequented the pasta salad and the chicken salad although it was a bit salty. Eventually my bf asked for rare since they kept overcooking what was supposed to be the med rare, and they seemed to have an attitude about it and pretty much ignored us for the remainder of the visit besides the gaucho bringing us meats. There's absolutely no way we would ever come back to Rio. They don't know how to properly cook the meats to the correct temperature here and the salad bar was a bit limited. For the price point, I would much rather eat elsewhere.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! My family loves Brazilian Steakhouses, and this gem is no exception. Excellent gourmet salad bar with side dishes. Excellent attention service. Absolutely delicious food. And the best yet is that you get EVERYTHING for only $39.95 during the month of July (normally $50). These prices are great to other comparable steakhouses we've been to previously. Some are fancier and charge more, but this place is reasonable for what it is. It's a total win for Johnson City and the Tri-Cities area. If you love all the meats, real linens, exceptional service and delicious food, DO IT!

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't have a full five-star rating. The food is excellent--creative, high-quality gastropub fare that's easily some of the best we've had in the area. As newcomers, one of the biggest adjustments has been finding great restaurants, and Label has definitely filled that gap. We had a large group, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone's meal came out great, and not a single person left disappointed. To top it all off, the desserts were phenomenal and the perfect ending to a great meal. If you're looking for one of the best dining experiences in Johnson City, Label is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

The lady told me she didn't have change, and when I pulled out some coins, I assumed she meant she didn't have change in coins. I ended up giving her cash and change, and she said thank you. I then asked, "Can I get my change back?" because I was supposed to receive about $5 back. Apparently, she had assumed I was giving her a $5 tip on a $15 takeout order. To be clear, I was not. I understand tipping when someone is providing a service, but this was a takeout order--I walked in, picked up my food, and left. There was no table service or anything beyond handing me my order. She did have to go to the back to get my change and brought it back to me in $1 bills. The whole situation was just awkward and frustrating. Between the extremely small portion and the confusion over my change, I honestly wasn't impressed with the experience.

They had run the credit card in "authorize" mode with an estimated total plus tip amount in tiny print, then took that amount and printed it in bold as the actual receipt Total *without tip*, and then put a line below that to add MORE tip, effectively doubling the expected tip. When I noticed this and asked a manager about it, she gave an answer that was "yes we know this is happening but don't know how to stop it from doing that, golly gosh technology is hard" and we specifically marked on our receipt we were fine with the first estimated tip amount but did not agree to doubling that, completely scratched out the prior written amounts before we understood what was going on, and left feeling not so great but hopeful we would only be charged for one tip. Days later the statement comes in, we were double charged for the tip even though we signed a receipt with only one tip amount. That's not legal guys, that's fraud. Look I understand, tech is hard, running a business is hard, running a restaurant these days is really tough. But you can't let your credit cards get charged incorrectly, and I'm pretty sure you know this and are doing it anyway.
