Food was really mid, ambience was good, they sang happy birthday to my brother and that was good, but the service was awful, the servers didn't take our drink orders until half an hour after we started to eat, and then she took 30 more minutes to give us the drinks, and not all of them, she really disappeared until the point we had to go to her just to order water for the table, and she looked annoyed at us for trying to order more, which is already bad, until you see that there is an 18% gratuity, really was difficult to enjoy the food with all that, without mentioning that the food at the salad bar was really bad, and after some point, the guys who serve meat just disappeared and stop serving us. Visited this restaurant for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by the decoration and ambience. The venue is small and it's very inviting. Friendly staff took care of us. Customer service could improve because the overall presentation of meats was very slow. A time there wasn't enough meats brought/served to ANY of the tables although the restaurant was full. As for the best meats my favorites were the picahna steak and the octopus. The salad bar was part of the dinner for $39,99. Included some potatoes salad, regular salads, soups, rice, beans and also roasted potatoes. Parking was available outside the restaurant. This is my 4 or 5th time coming. First 2 were great! This was about 3 years ago. Unfortunately I feel it has done down hill, slowly but surely. Service is awful. Slow and sometimes aggressive. Came here for the $26 lunch service on a Friday. I've never been to Texas de Brazil so I don't have a point of reference but I think this was a decent all you can eat for the price. I skipped most of the buffet options, the salad did not look super appetizing. I will say the chicken soup and rice and black beans were amazing and the perfect sides for my meat. The buffet did not feel the most sanitary but I feel that way about most buffets. The meat service was great! Everything looked warm and fresh and the servers were constantly circling back with new options, more than they needed to. I was a big fan of anything beef, but did not enjoy the pork and sausage options. Our waitress however was not very attentive and I was without water for a while and struggled to ask for the check. The inside is very aesthetic, great for pictures and I'm sure the events there are fun. We got to try many different types of meats, ribeye, churrasco, pincanha, to name a few. They were all very well seasoned and cooked medium which is my preference. In addition to the wide meat selection we also got to try the pao de queijo which are these cheese and bread balls, delicious! Also we tried the grilled cheese which was also very good. The side selection is good enough, I'm rarely one to get too many sides as I rather enjoy the meats, but they had a basic salad bar with sides like rice, beans, potatoes, etc. For the price point I think this is beyond a good deal. Overall a great experience and the service was so friendly and attentive, I could feel everyone we interacted with was genuinely interested in catering to us and making sure we enjoyed our experience. I went to Rio Grande for my mother's birthday in 02/07/2025, I want to start by thanking the chef. Everything that was grilled was super delicious. How ever the buffet table was a 1 out of 5. The sides were not good. The potato salad was mash potatoe with veggies it was not good. The servers aren't the best. They all had an attitude. Or at least the 3 servers that served us had an attitude, One of the waitress was hanging out with a friend who was buying drinks. When you go to other churraquerias they keep coming until you flip over the car asking them to stop. Even though they do have this card at Rio Grande. The servers do not respect it. The tables are too close to eat other and other customers bumped into you while eating because of that. But the worst part to me was the excessive noise. It's a restaurant you want to be able to speak to the people you are eating with, we couldn't hear one another . I made reservations and alerted them it was my mom's birthday so we can sing happy birthday but they forgot to write that down and I had to remind them in front of my mom which ruined the surprise. Personally I don't see my self visiting this place again. But the grill meats and the octopus was delicious It was not expensive, for my husband and I it was 79.99 plus 10.99 for my mom's birthday brownie 5 dollars for a Coke it all added to 120.97 .
