So I did come in at the very end of their day. I had a nail that need to be fixed and I fill on Gilder Joe. I feel like they definitely are overpriced. The nail that needed to be fixed was put superglue and then with all builder job, you basically take all of that off anyway so nothing new was added but the superglue and I was charged five dollars for that was fine but then itself I really just wanted a different color pink which that party nailed but I was charged like an additional $10 for design which I don't even like that's a design an additional five dollars for the nails being almond shaped which they were already previously almond shaped and I just feel like my nails weren't done properly like even on the thumb you can kind of see the ripples and I feel like my cuticles are a little flooded. I definitely will not be back for this set for a refill on builder. It came out to $81 and I kind of feel like that's a little bit much. The place was decent and they do have a large selection of colors but the chairs are old and decor has a lot of neon lights so not really my style I did think it was nice that they had the mani and pedi station separated but I didn't try that due to not needing yet. read more

I was horrified to pay $76 for a set of nails. These are not fancy ones, just plain painted nails. I have had a terrible problem with my nails splitting at the tips so I cannot grow them out. I was visiting a friend and asked her about hers. She said I have to get mine done, come with me. We arrived at Rio nails rather late with her 2 daughters in tow plus the baby. I asked for artificial nails and she sat me down and proceeded to work. There was a rather large gap between what she added and my cuticle. She claimed she could not go closer. I have had my nails done since the 80's. I have never had an issue like this. The woman had a huge attitude also. As I suspected, she deliberately shorted the nails so I would return sooner. In the many years I have had my nails done, I have had them last 6 weeks, usually 8 before a redo. My nails just do not grow. Here it is 3 weeks, and these are lifting. No, not on your life would I ever return to this place. 1. attitude. The woman was outright rude to me, ordering that I control the kids. They are not my kids 2. refusing to do an adequate job, Arrogant attitude when I asked about what she was doing. and 3. Price! $76!!! I am furious. I feel cheated. I recently moved and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a new nail salon that has dipping powder or have a nail tech who could compare to the person I'm used to. I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received during my first visit after booking using the "anyone" option online. Lina is great, she did my nails quickly and beautifully and she was finished before I could drink the margarita the man at the front register made me. Speaking of which, the margarita was mixed using two flavors and looked like something you'd get at a resort, no joke. My natural nails with dipping powder lasted AND still looked good after 4 weeks. I made an appointment a pedicure and a full set, when I arrived Everything looked very nice and clean, but they were trying to upsell us the whole time then when we get to the register, they still charged every little detail the work was not even exceptional with no attention to detail I will never come here again. Service as a whole(the complimentary drinks and snacks) are a nice touch. However we know pretty much all nail/salon places offer the alcoholic & non-alcoholic complimentary drinks. The prices are outrageous, I needed a basic pedicure due to time constraints it was $51 with Shellac, I take my own polish cause I prefer OPI specific color, due to the quality of the polishes that nail bars have. We have all witnessed nail salons dilute low or dried out polishes with acetone(which takes from the Quality of the polish. The location is very nice and spacious, but I believe that is what these prices are about. read more

I've been going to Rio Nail for awhile and I haven't had any issues but yesterday a lady name Nancy did my feet and nails for a trip I am going on. While she was using the nail drill adter sge put the powder in my nails she literally went through the skin on 4 of my finger to the point where they did bleed while I was washing my hands. Every time I do something and my skin pulls back from my fingers it's painful. I don't get a sorry for her all nor did she try to rectify the situation. I can't say enough about my amazing experience here. I visited for Memorial Day weekend along with my sisters, and they were able to accommodate us. Peter was for sure the highlight, he catered to us and checked in to make sure we were enjoying the experience, and his high positive energy was refreshing. Nice going in, offered a drink and then the not so pedicure delightful starts. My toenails were cut uneven, no cleaning underneath, barely any cuticles cut. Ken left gel polish left on my toes and didn't even take my gel polish down to cover the whole nail. I asked him to and he said he did while he surely didn't. It's so frustrating to pay $67 for a service and not get the outcome you want. They are more focused on massaging your legs with a timer. Im not impressed and won't be back. My husband had a pedicure as well, Lily didn't even cut his big toenails but wanted to give him clear gel, um no thanks. When i was leaving the manager asked me how it was and i said not good and asked me to show him. Went there for a Mani/ Pedi on June 18th in the evening. Was given attitude because I didn't want gel polish on my toes. My cuticles on my toes and hands were not trimmed correctly. Polish is already chipping off my toes and gel peeling off my hands in 4 days. Place is to pricey for my polish not to last and honestly had to finish with the pomace and sugar exfoliate at home to get my feet smooth. My boyfriend took his sister and I a couple Thursdays ago as a belated bday gift for myself. We had pedicures that were pretty good but I feel my boyfriend and his sister got more attention and longer time allotted for their pedicures because I started after they did and finished before them. I was also getting shellac manicure and it was nothing like the manicures I've received in the past. She didn't cut my cuticles, trim or file my nails, and the shellac was all over the place. I feel she was just rushing to get them done because it was raining and they were considering closing early. Within the 6 days 2 of my nails had peeled. My boyfriend called and took me back to get them fixed. The guy in front rushed to do them but they were better than the first woman who did them. But here we are 5 days later and ALL my nails have peeled INCLUDING the two that he just fixed. Usually shellac will last me a good 2 weeks but this is ridiculous. The last place I went located in The Rim lasted over 3 weeks without any chipping. I'm not sure if it was the quality of the shellac they used or if she just didn't know what she was doing. We have no issue paying good money for these services especially since we don't do it often but for him to pay $160 (which I've never paid that much before either) for what I received was definitely not worth it. My pedicure experience here was just horrible. I believe I had Don. He was super rough, all my toes were cut from where he was filing too rough around the edges and made me bleed. He cut my nails more than I asked him too, and while doing so left them uneven. I told him he was hurting me, to the point where I was tugging back my feet, and he continued to be rough. I usually never have a complaint about this place but that pedicure was more painful than enjoyable. I don't think I'll be going back here. read more

Walked in on a Monday at 10:15. Was greeted and seated quickly. I had the Orange kiss pedicure with shellac for $57 and dipped my natural nails for $40. The pedicure was great had a wax on my feet and a bunch of other small details that really made a difference. This is the first time I have been here and will definitely go back. I was going to another place at McCrillus area and just was ready for something new because I noticed many mistakes and felt like they were rushing with me. It took them about 5 full minutes before they started on my nails, I asked them if they could do a design and the guy laughed and said no. They charged $5 for the type of nail polish they used, the set up was very messy and it didn't even have a towel to put my hands over. Two of my nails are very crooked, while I also have black polish all around my nails, this was my first time ever getting coffin nails and it was also my first time going to this nail place, I won't be coming here again.
