I find that shopping online for things like boardshorts is difficult because different companies have totally different fits. You can find t-shirts from about $10, zip-ups from around $25, and boardshorts from $20 on some of the sale racks. They also have a few bins of clearance items that are even more discounted. They've got a large selection of hats, wetsuits, surfboards, and a lot clothing in general. Definitely worth stopping in to see what you can dig up! I drive about 30 miles to get to this store. It never disappoints! I come 1-2x per month. I might see some of the same items on the racks but who knows what deal they are having at the time I show up. There's always a different sale going on, and their clearance racks are awesome! The staff have always been friendly, even when the mask mandate rule or wasn't and they asked you to wear a mask... who cares, put one on. No they do not have a BATHROOM for public. Me and a couple of my girl friends went here today to get some bikinis. We were waiting by the bikini isle for a couple minutes to get a bikini from the top shelf and no one helped us. We grabbed the hook and got one down and than a blonde female staff member walked up and aggressively expressed that we aren't able to use the hook in a very unprofessional manner after we apologized. Than we picked out all our bikinis and waited by the fitting rooms for an employee to unlock and there was no response. One was unlocked so we went in that one to try them on. We finished trying everything on and walked out, that same staff member told us only one in a fitting room, we again apologized and she was rude once again. We finally checked out and she walked to the front desk to confront us claiming that we left the fitting room a "mess" although we hung all the bathing suits up and left it just how it was when we came in. She said "I get that we are the same age but it was really rude and disrespectful" Which was very rude and disrespectful. This is ridiculous, we had no problem with her and just wanted to shop. I understand it was the end of her shift but she could've handled this differently and we did not receive good customer service. We will not be coming back. read more

You'll find this store right off the 55 freeway going South, and in an industrial park of Santa Ana. Attracted to this place by the occasional sample sale that they have, I came here to see what they had to offer. Here are some highlights from the sample sale and the store inside: The sample sale highlights: The sample sale boasts mostly t-shirts (for around $7, when you normally pay about double), hoodies, lots of boardshorts and swimwear, trucker hats and random hats, belts, velcro wallets, watches (including wave/tide watches for $75), wetsuits (mostly smaller sizes), and twill-style shorts. While all of this is usually at a very low price, none of the clothes are damaged or irregulars, which is great for bargain hunters. You'll want to come to the earlier days of the sample sale to get the best selection, of course. I came on the third of the four days they offered the sale, and there wasn't a great deal of variety in the shirts or sweaters. However, I picked up a rashguard for $7 compared to the retail price of $35. That's an amazing deal! The store highlights: While they have some boards for sale in the back, the store is huge and selection is plentiful. Lots of wetsuits, and clothes at slightly below retail price (lower than what you may find at, let's just say a Tilly's). They don't have too many backpacks or skateboards, as the inventory is mostly clothing. They do have some cool watches, but they can be quite pricey. So wetsuits it is. The takeaway is that the store may offer good prices compared to competitor brands, but if you can wait, go to the sample sale for all your clothing goodies (not wetsuits). That's only when I come. While you can find out when this is happening by getting on their mailing list, you can also find out using websites like Warehouse Weekends (google it) and find that good deal. read more

I always come here for my wetsuits and board shorts cause of how cheap they are. It's always last seasons stuff but who cares, it's a good deal. Mens Women's and boys stuff. Flip flops, wetsuits, shirts and tanks, board shorts and shorts, pants, belts, jackets, even snow gear, and bags. The customer service is excellent! There is almost always a staff member walking around to check if you are doing good. I was shopping a couple days ago and they had there 2 for 50 on board shorts and since they don't have shopping bags to walk around the store, there was a staff member who noticed that I was holding a bunch of stuff and she offered to put my things on hold at the front, so I could shop more. I was already ready to drop $100 on a wetsuit and ended up walking out with a $500 transaction with no regrets! read more

I drove out about 40 miles based on solid reviews for this store. Great selection of wetsuits at a great price? Sure, but not if you're a girl. I wandered around the wetsuits section for a good 20 minutes and didnt get any help from anyone. When I finally asked one of the guys where the women's wetsuits were, he took me to a rack...ONE rack. Compared to the hundreds of wetsuits for men, they barely had 20 wahine wetsuits. Plus, the guy who "helped" me didn't even bother to help any more than direct me to this sad excuse for a womens wetsuit s section. However, if you're looking for casual clothes, flip flops, beanies, what not - it's the place for you. If you're a girl looking for a wetsuit, better to visit Zuma Jays in Malibu, especially if you're dumb like me and live in the LA area and drove all the way down here. It's 5 times smaller, but the selection is great and so are the prices. Also, a word to the employees: getting paid to work is more than moping around talking about your next surf. So even if you return items with tags and a receipt, you can only get store credit or an exchange. This store was a total surprise. I went here looking for a wet suit and loved see a whole wall filled with ever kind & size imaginable. I made two trips. The first to check out their stock and was helped by a very nice, and cute, young man that helped me find the right size. Its been years since I've had one & had no idea what to get. My second trip was to actually buy my suit. I ended up getting a perfect Rip Curl E-Bomb back zip full suit, normally a $400 suit, I got it for a cool $215 after taxes. This past weekend we attended the MDW sale they had and we found several cute items for my BF. We are leaving on a Hawaii trip next week and thought this would be perfect to get a few deals. We were right! He found some things he liked in the store but I kept telling him to go to the tents because you never know! He even wanted to opt for Jacks to find trunks but I'm glad we turned up here instead. Things were $5-15 each and they had a great selection for men. The woman's area had a few cute short shorts but the bikini bins were a total miss. Not such a great selection for us. The men's racks had quality items and were neat and organized. The ladies stuff not so much which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They had everything from wetsuits to summer dresses, hats, tees and watches etc. huge selection on trunks for men! The line to pay was a few minutes wait but they had a little system with item sheets for a quicker check out. He paid with a woman and a laptop and it wasn't a hassle at all. I enjoy coming to this store, I live about 45 mins away and it is worth the drive but I recently came on 5/14 around 6:45pm and literally had a horrible experience bc of the customer service. I believe there were 2-3 guys working and 3 young girl. The guys were very helpful + respectful, but the younger girls working had HORRIBLE customer service. They were standing in a circle cussing loudly talking bad about one of their coworkers who wasn't working. Now I'm no Karen but this was rude and not right to be doing this on the job. It was to the point where it made me actually leave because these girls were talking so loudly using curse words about another coworker expressing how they hate their job & wouldn't want to work there if they were a young teen who just got hired? But I'm like why are you still here then? Idk management needs to do something about this bc it's not a good look on the company. read more

Stopped by to pick up a wetsuit jacket today 6/23/17(@ around 6PM) and hand a horrible experience. Finding a size large in the selection was like finding a needle in a haystack. When I finally found it I had asked the cashier to put it on hold as I was still shopping. Went back after 20 minutes to check out and the large wetsuit jacket that was put on Hold for me was sold to another customer who was walking out the door. The two cashiers only could offer me their apologies as they could not locate another large in the store. I went there today as I was told they have good deals on wetsuits. I was ready to buy, just had a few questions. I walk in and I don't see anyone tending the store. I then see a girl walk right by me texting. First thought was, she's a customer. Then I see her go outside and walk in with a rack that was sitting outside. She puts it inside, and again walks right past me and doesn't even acknowledge I was there. She then gets behind the register and starts doing paperwork. To this point, not even eye contact. My wife then joins me in the store and we look at some of the wetsuits and start talking. Again, not even an acknowledgement that we were there. By now, I've had enough of the bad customer service and I ask her if she works there. She says yes, in a very rude tone as if I was bothering her. Then I ask her if she plans to tend to customers in the store and she proceeds to tell me she was busy; mind you, we are the only customers in the store. At this point, I've had enough and just plain ask her if she's always this rude to clients and that she shouldn't be working in customer service if she plans to treat customers like that. She then tells me that she doesn't care because she already gave her 2 week notice. In total awe of what she just said, we just walked out. I have NEVER had such a bad experience at a retail store in my life and will certainly never go to that store again! What a horrible experience. Pretty big store with lots of wetsuit and swimsuit options. Has men, women, and kids sections as well. We went in the winter, so they also had some sweaters and outerwear for a great deal. If you like Rip Curl wetsuits, definitely come here as they are up to 50% cheaper and seem to have the same quality. They even have the newer nonzip styles available. They also have fins, sunscreen, beach towels, hats, socks, watches, sunglasses, rash guards, etc. I recognize the same season's new trunks and bikinis from the regular Rip Curl stores that are sold at discount, and again, seem to have the same quality. Wish there was a store closer, but we will go out of our way to check this outlet out when we know we'll get a good deal.
