Making a visit from PA, this was a great find for authentic premium ingredient pizzas. Location was very convenient and staff was extremely friendly. Def worth stopping by for one of their specialty pizzas and not the mass produced cheap quality pizza from the boardwalk. The only negative thing I could say was too many to choose from on the menu!!!! Their large pie was so big it couldn't fit out the front door, you had to angle and dip your pizza box!!! Went here for a late lunch today with my family of four. The pizza here was great! The sauce, cheese blend (with shaved Parmesan) and crust/dough were a delight. To top it off, the 16" pizza and four fountain drinks was priced fairly reasonably. Easily our cheapest priced lunch meal - but not cheap on quality. The staff was really friendly too. Everything was FRESH AND HOMEMADE! We ordered a 16" cheese pizza and a half turkey sub. Both were very filling, Ripieno's does not skimp on the topics and ingredients! We've come to OC for years and I've always craved a great pizza place. I think I've FINALLY FOUND one here in OC! Ripieno's IS THE PLACE! My family and I will definitely be back! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered. I also appreciated the fact that it was Brick oven pizza and nothing about it was burnt! Idk why thiis place is so highly rated. They certainly draw a crowd based on their XL woodfire pizza. And since they have a decent menu, we ordered a variety of dishes, mostly because OC has tons of pizza places. We found them ordinary, with several miscuses. We had a very mediocre turkey club. Was supposed to come with avocado. The turkey was decent quality, but the boring white bread was soggy. Another in our party ordered eggplant. The dish was watery and flavorless. We ordered 2 pizzas. One was good with a crispy crust. The other (plain) one had a gouey hard baked crust. They were an hour backed up, so I guess they cut some corners. While I was waiting in line a regular patron said the draw was the extra large pizza cuz it would feed a crowd for a reasonable price. If that's you, and you have a hour to wait, go for it. Where do I begin?! This is a unique place, in the back end of a burger king. The ppl are great. Owner spoke to us while tending to pizzas in the wood burning pizza oven. This site is a test kitchen, plans to open restaurants in nearby town. Quality of the food was excellent. Fresh, simple, basic, but so soooo good. The portion size is large! A side of onion rings could feed a small family. Husband had an Italian sub, 11", which is the SMALL size! He couldn't finish it, which is very unusual, and just made all kinds of lip smacking sounds. I had the eggplant parm, again, portion was huge and the food was so very good. The salad that comes with it was wonderful but I couldn't eat much of it because I was trying to taste everything we had. Can't recommend this enough. We travel to ocean city every year, we will definitely be back next year!! read more

BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER TASTE. 10/10 recommend. The 11" steak sub was amazing as well. I was sad they didnt have any canolis in stock but the other food made up for it! ALSO the toppings on the pizza were just amazing. We got pepperoni and sausage. The pepperonis were bout as big as lizzos nippies (if you dont know who lizzo is just know the pepperonis were huge). Got to OCMD later then we would have liked and decided on Ripieno's for a cold hoagie/sub. DH got the Italian and I got the roast beef. Absolutely fabulous! Both sandwiches were stuffed with meat and a tasty picante aged provolone cheese. We were both very impressed with our dinner and will certainly keep this place in mind for an excellent sandwich. The roll was very good also. It stayed together and had a good taste and chew. In a sandwich the roll plays a major part in addition to the fillings. read more

Spent a long weekend in Ocean City and found this spot on my last night. The women working there was soo nice and gave great recommendations. We ordered two pizzas; Tomato and Arugula and the Ratatouille. Both were delicious. This pizza/toppings were so fresh and the flavor was great! Checked into Ripieno's restaurant for the first time. Not many people. Food was very good, we ordered salad, pizza, and fries for little ones. We asked for fries first and that was great, but we got the salad after the pizza and then the pizza was cold. I was asked if I wanted a drink and I said just tap water and they gave me a cup and charged me $2 just for the cup--but never told me there was a charge!! That and the delay in salad is why I only took one star away. read more

The pizza is delicious. Wood fired oven makes a perfect pizza every time. The subs come in two sizes 11 and 22 inches. The steaks are stuffed with meat and it is tasty and juicy. We were a party of nine and came right as they were closing on Thursday night and we were afraid we were going to be annoyed that we were those "late last minute customers" with 4 kids. The kids were totally enamored by the wood fire oven and we were pleasantly surprised when the guy making the pizzas (turned out to be the owner) asked if that's what we were there for. It was. Carry-out, in fact. The owner and the people behind the counter couldn't have been more accommodating to our large group, in spite of the hour. He made us a 28" Pizza, which was FANTASTIC and only $20!! What!?!? Where can you get a 28" Pizza in OC for $20, much less an authentic Italian-tasting wood-fired Pizza?!? Needless to say, they made customers for life that night!! We can't wait to come back and try their specialty pizzas!! read more

Had lunch with two friends today. I had an Italian hoagie (which is how I judge sandwich places), one friend had a cheesesteak and the other a chicken cheesesteak. All three sandwiches were delicious. My Italian was filled with fresh Italian lunch meat on a delicious roll. The chicken cheesesteak had big pieces of chicken. We also ordered mozzarella sticks - 12 sticks for $7 - which were crisp and not overly breaded with a very good marinara sauce. The sandwiches were so big that we each brought half home as well as some of the mozzarella sticks. The service was outstanding as well. They also have wood fired pizza oven and we can't wait to go back and try their pizza. read more

I don't understand the great reviews and I'm bummed I trusted them. The restaurant doesn't have a website so you have to squint at a photo of the menu on Facebook if you want to order for pick up. Two of the things we ordered were sold out but we weren't told until we arrived. We ordered based on the menu we saw online and the restaurant literally just skipped half of the ingredients. My husband got a meatball calzone with no meatballs in it (?!?!?) and I got a tomato and arugula pizza that was supposed to have shaved Parmesan. I literally got a dry crust (no sauce or cheese) with soggy cherry tomatoes (cherry tomatoes on a pizza...?) and a few leaves of arugula with a sprinkling of goat cheese. And it wasn't sliced?!?? So we had to slice it using a bread knife (vacation rental condo) that pulled off the very few toppings. I know, I know, COVID, but I wish we could get a refund because it was a sad end to our one and only trip this year :( read more

The best pizza in Ocean City and maybe the rest of the beach. Thin crust baked in a wood fired pizza with just a hint of char in a few places. The sauce is great and they use old school toppings. Th sausage is an Italian rope sausage not the cheap ground generic Sysco stuff. The pepperoni are large round and flavorful. The rest of the topping a fresh not canned. A spectacular pizza. We have been back several more times now and have found the food to be absolutely excellent in all cases. We've had pizza, meatball, sausage, roast beef and Italian hoagies. All wonderful. Steak fries - excellent, especially for the price. Tiramisu - looks expensive, but will server four or more. Service is always friendly and efficient. Great people. Heard rave reviews from some friends and had to give it a try. The pizza was absolutely delicious! Crust had good texture and flavor, the cheese did as well, very pleased that my good friend shared a slice of her pizza pie while I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie. The hoagie was very, very good! I can not complain one bit about the food here, I was thoroughly satisfied (and kinda sad that I don't live close by to enjoy them more). One note, please be patient with this establishment. They don't seem to be staffed very well, and I'm not saying anything bad about the staff currently there, the staff were wonderful, but busy. Just know that the product you receive is well worth the wait. The young man who took our order also cleaned the tables, brought the food out and I think he was even cooking on the grill. At any rate, he was pleasant and smiled with each task that he did. The one guy cooking the pizza was so busy juggling all the different orders, I was super impressed! Fantastic ingredients, with quality cheese, spicy Italian sausage and 2" round slices of fresh pepperoni. 8 slices for a price of $17. Best quality and price around! They are right next to Burger King and because of this we assumed that it was some kind of "italian fast-food"....we could not have been further from the truth. So good. Great little spot attached to a BK nonetheless. We had two strombolis, meatball and pepperoni. Both were delicious. We also got the Lemon Ricotta Cookies, they looked and tasted fantastic. They aren't something you see everyday either. We were just visiting and we saw this place had good reviews so we tried it out and they didn't fail, very nice people and very friendly when we went to pick it up. Got the Italian Hoagie. The 1/2 is more than enough for one person. Sandwich was well loaded with meat and had plenty of lettuce and tomatoes on it. Everything tasted fresh and I think worth the money. Also got the onion rings and they too were well done. Don't know about the other dishes but this one was a winner. Only thing I would suggest would be to make the roll a bit lighter. There was a good meat to roll ratio and the roll was very good but a little less bread would have made it a bit better. Service was very good. Said it would be ready in 15-20 min and was ready in that time. Also the people were very pleasant. Over all a pleasant experience. read more
