Probably one of the best breakfasts on the island. They fill up FAST. So get there early and be prepared to wait. The service is absolutely phenomenal. They work their ass off. You get a lot of food that's good for a decent price. Where we sat wasn't updated from long ago but the new bar area is great looking. It can get a little loud but not like other places in town. Amazing breakfast. I live on Jekyll and my parents were visiting so wanted to try something different. We got a spot right out front and the last table inside, but they it seemed they turned table quickly. We all loved our food - literally my dad was in a food comma on the car ride back! On a Monday morning around 10 we had to wait for about 10 minutes to get a table. The servers all helped each other so it had a nice feel about it. My husband ordered the monte cristo chicken biscuit and I had the eggs Florentine with potatoes. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. The place is rather small, and we had an entitled older woman behind us who moved a chair into a tight fitting place. We left soon afterwards so it didn't matter too much. Hands down, best breakfast place on the island! It is a cozy spot and we lucked out with a table for the 3 of us. The staff was so charming and nice! The menu has a lot of great things on it and crossing was difficult because it all sounded so good! Two of ending up choosing a hollandaise dish and the third an egg plate. Mine was the 2 egg florentine. It had spinach, tomato and goat cheese. It was so delish!! The goat cheese added a nice tang to it. I had a side of grits and I can say these were the best grits I have ever had!! They were creamy and perfectly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their meals so much and we will be back! As a mere tourist (in a tourist town at the height of tourist season), he did everything but spit in my beer to let me know I wasn't welcome. Great breakfast for a far more reasonable price. Mallory Street Cafe has a wonderful breakfast and they know how to prepare grits that are like your grandmother prepared, not the runny mush King City serves! After Great ambiance but overall mediocre food at Echo and The Reserve, wr went the opposite route for brunch and went for quality local food with no view of the beach. :) Great meal. I had the Eggs McIntosh, a Benedict with crabmeat, and corned beef hash as the side (+$1). So good. I tired the potatoes and a bite of the shrimp and Scallop omelet and it was great. I got to Mallery Street Cafe 15 minutes before they opened after reading most reviews. Snagged 1 of 2 patio tables. Service was immediate and prompt. I ordered a vanilla latte with the Bannana Foster Crepe and, based on the reviews, ordered a side of cooked spinach and corn beef hash. Mallerys gets super packed super fast and is a delicious spot close to most beach stays, making it a convenient place to do breakfast. My latte was perfect, and my meal was even better. It was the perfect size. The spinach was sautéed and seasoned perfectly. The cornbeef hash was a beautiful addition to the Banna Foster Crepe. And the crepe was light and sweet. Everything I had was the perfect little breakfast combination. Our server was uppity and attentive. I have nothing to complain about other than I am so sorry I did not take a picture. I recommend this place. Tips: Get there 10 to 15 minutes before they open. This is a quaint little local spot, so don't expect anything over the top. It's a coastal, casual breakfast joint with urgent service by the beach. It's as coastal and casual you can get by the beach in the south. It's perfect! read more

I can't believe in all my years we've never eaten here. Definitely our new favorite breakfast place on the island! They have indoor and a few outdoor seating options (we got lucky and got outside seating). They were quite busy but must have a wonderful system because their wait times were not long. They sat you and got out food in a quick manor. I got the 2 egg breakfast and their bacon was the best I've had in a long time. My friends tried omelets, eggs Benedict and sausage and egg biscuit! 3.5 stars. My husband and I had breakfast one weekday morning at Mallery Street Cafe while vacationing in SSI. It wasn't crowded when we visited and we were seated immediately. We each had an omelet. I had the coastal with shrimp, scallops, and white cheddar, and my husband had the southern with ham, onions, green peppers, and cheddar. For our sides, I had the grits, and my husband had the potatoes. My husband also got a side of corned beef hash. Their omelets are huge, and are probably made with four eggs. Both were filled perfectly, and tasted very good. I never would have thought shrimp and scallops would be good in an omelet, but I had to give it a try. It was a little simple and bland, but still very good. The grits were a thicker consistency, and didn't need any additions (like butter or salt). The potatoes were flavorful and super crispy, and appeared as if they were deep fried. Yum! The corned beef was a huge portion, and would also have worked well topped with two fried eggs. Their coffee was nice and moderately strong. Service was friendly and efficient. Their music was a delightful mix of easy listening tunes. We enjoyed our meal, and definitely would return. read more

I have to be honest it was an ok breakfast, but it wasn't as good as the reviews I looked at before I went for breakfast. I got the standard breakfast of scrambled eggs, potato and biscuit. I was really disappointed that I asked the server if the hash was premade or homemade and she said it's pre-made, but they add potatoes and other things to make it better. Unfortunately, it was just the plain old caned CBH. The eggs were a bit over cooked so they were ok. I liked the biscuit, it was grilled with butter and that was the best thing I had. The potatoes were good, but I don't really use much salt and they had a bit too much for my taste. Their salads looked great as they were being brought out, other items looked very good like the omelettes I saw. read more

KIDS ARE NOT WELCOME! As a parent I have never felt so unwelcome at a place in my life! Waitress had no personality. You could tell that she was in a bad mood by her body language, look on her face & tone of her voice. We ordered, nothing really wrong there. But as we're waiting my 5 & 5 yr old girls are stacking the creamers quietly. They were doing so for about 6 minutes or so. Then the waitress rudely walks over & starts taking them from my girls because "she didn't want a mess". She even went as far to bend over my 5 yr olds head so much so that there was no way that her boobs didn't smash on her head! all because "she didn't want a mess". All that my daughters were doing was stacking them. No mess had been made. My daughters play with those whenever they see them, they have never made a mess with any of them! And so what if it did?! It's a .02 cent item and it has maybe 2 tsp worth of liquid in it! The 4 of us walked out after this happened. Because we "didn't want to make a mess" But really $11.00 for ONE chicken biscuit & nothing else with it?! read more

The service was great and fast. I had the eggs Benedict with crab meat. The others in my group had eggs, bacon or sausage and toast. The food was delicious. Nice spot for breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere that you can carry a conversation in. Seating both inside and outside patio. Tori and others took excellent care of us. I had traditional eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes which was perfect. My wife had French toast sticks with candied pecans, bacon, her French toast sticks made my mouth water, they were delicious.
